You have to try this way this guy taught me on spi when I 1st went sea fishing. I just get the barrel weight 3/4 or 1/2 Oz. Then put the swivel and some line with a hook after. Cast it out with the shrimp and reel in slow. We have torn up whiting and cats like that. Caught lots of other species. I just wade in some. You'll find out where the sweet spot where they bite at. I cast a little over that and hooked up. No sand pole holders or waiting. If there is vegetation in the water you can clear it. I have done the spider weight thing and it's a mess when sitting out there. Just pull up a huge ball of veg

Yeah, the times we have been it is muddy and rough! I bought the KastKing Sharky III. It feel well made and smooth casting. The price is excellent. We will see how it holds up!

My gf only does spincast reels. The one they sell is awesome. The brutus? Smooth, I can bomb it out there with it.
