i always do better at widow maker before warming up, but after i warm up my aim is like “aight imma head out”
this happens to me too. I pick up widow and pop off for a few games and then it goes downhill from there where I struggle to hit easy shots. it feels like playing widow takes away from my aim mana bar and when it's empty, I stop hitting shots and I switch to someone else while it slowly recharges.

Mate - please do a video on positioning in OW2 so the new players can learn basics like not having their back to a wall screaming for heals, etc.
Tip from a Widow Main since August 2019: Unpredictablity is Key. Try to find different Angles for Cheeky snipes. Wether that be from Above, Behind, or off to the sides, get to a spot where they will not expect you. After you get a pick, find another spot, and rinse and repeat.
For me there is no such thing as "warm up".
I always play my best when "cold". And the "warmer" I get, the worse I play.

Tip 4: if the other team has a dive tank, dont play widow
Folks that won't switch when they're hard countered are the worst.
I'm very new to overwatch and playing widowmaker. Is a dive tank a tank like Winston or Ball that just jumps on me? Also, what would be good for me to swap to? I've been trying bastion and reaper atm because they seen pretty good against the things that counter widow, but again I'm very new and don't really know.😅
@@TheLordDarkrai Widow main here! Dive tanks are Ball, Winston and Dva. Hard counters to Widow in my opinion are Winston, Dva, Sombra, Genji. Tracer may count but if you practice she is actually pretty easy to headshot at lower ranks as lower rank Tracers seem to just run straight at you or blink predictably and also waste recall- as you get higher she may get more tricky but noones really touching her much at the moment anyway.
I'd say don't worry about switching unless their dive heros are actually an issue for you- I've had plenty of games against Genji and D.vas where they haven't really bothered me at all because I was able to take them out first- Its mostly about good positioning. Since widow is a long range hitscan you can sit far enough back to headshot most heros before they get close to you but with that you have to be hitting those shots because if you're at the back missing then your team is in a 4v5. Good thing about dive heros is most are weak long range but can close that gap fast so try to keep your distance, dink the heads and save grapple to reposition when necessary.
If you're struggling on her I've found Ashe and Soldier are good swaps since it's the same kind of aiming skills on those heros but they can hold their own a bit better close range and in my experience they're pretty solid against dive heros but reaper and bastion are cool too. Good Luck! She's a really fun hero to play :)
Other than other hitscan, dive tanks. What else should i look for that counters her?
@@Alaskan907 counters to widow I find are Genji cause he can dive and deflect and also the combo kills her but hes getting nerfed so idk how thatll work, Hanzo is good cause his heads just weirdly small so hes pretty good in duels- Idk hes literally the only overwatch hero I struggle to dink in a 1v1 i dont get it lmao, sigma isnt too bad with the sheild but thats a big ability to use to prevent one hero from doing work- dva and winston are way better
kiriko is good cause she can teleport to whoevers diving widow
lucio is a pain to hit up close, hes a good counted
pretty much anything that can move fast enough to get close and not get hit tbh
absolutely not pharah, reaper, torb or mei theyre so easy for a widow to take out

Dps queues are around 10 minutes, during those 10 minutes I aim-train in custom games, really helps a lot
so anyway heres my tips: hold ur crosshair around head level if ur holding an angle, all characters are a different height so you will need to adjust quickly (just dont aim at the floor or sky)
hide behind objects if you can when ur charging ur shot then peek to shoot
stay moving, widow moves slow when scoped in, but not moving at all makes you an easier target
you dont always need to charge ur shot all the way, but dont spam click
please do not frontline
now that widow has no range limit again you can play very far back (kephrii angle moment)
and stop changing ur sens so often. i see ppl do this all the time. ur ruining ur muscle memory, its something you develop and train overtime
@@sombruhcolomar7254aiming is mouse control and hand eye coordination playing on a reasonable range of sensitivities for 3 years wont make you any worse than playing on the same sens for 3 years but it is best to stay on one comfortable sens preferably lower for widows and higher for like genjis

What Cluu said - the problem sounds like a lack of self belief. Tools like this will help you get the practice you need without pauses. If you're doubting yourself, you'll struggle to bridge the gaps in matches.
Hanzo as well...Gotta warm up for the muscle memory
Just don’t use the vertical grapple shot during a sniper battle because that’s one of the easier shots to land.
Aim toggle made this character useful sometimes. Far from a main- just dabblin but toggle for widow, Ana, and Ashe has been helping me out
Finally something actually good that some people don't think about doing, you should do one on how to play Sombra and if you already did that one, do it again but for more casual and starting players
I was having a really good night once and was wondering how I was aiming so well when I realized that I actually did that before, so the next day (before I had this realization) and I was doing absolutely nothing on widow, I was really confused how my aim went from 6/10 to 9/10 all the way to 1/10 XD

You don’t need these to be good at widow tho, the meat of the character comes from positioning, knowing when to disengage, and being able to hit your shots.
if the other team has a dive tank play with your team dont go out by yourself
if the enemy has a junkrat don’t play widow because he will dive you he WILL combo you and nothing will stop him
NA has no custom games for headshot only or even widowmaker in general.
I agree yess!!! I got lost against enemy widow in one game, got some other kills but switched, after i actually warmed up i DOMINATED on widow i got a team kill, and diff their sniper 13 - 2

Yes, definitely warm up buit Widow HS isn't necessarily the best though.
From my experience, using only Widow HS or 1v1 Widow warms you up, but you get too used to the movement of Widow as a target. I had it for a long time that I was very strong in duels or in the custom modes against Widows, but otherwise i hit very little because I was too used to Widows movements and hitboxes.
Use grapple to shoot from the air or to reposition a few feet *dva genji dives her* XD
My tip. Move. Act like you are road hog and randomly enter your team and snipe everyone. They can't kill you because you are being protected by your team. Also move more. Switch positions as soon as anyone sees your current position
I disagree with warm up, i play better when i am more rested and alert i get sluggish longer i play
The warm up is a fallacy, especially warming up only against Widows
Might become a widow main Just because it's more thrilling to make those nice headshots compared to mccassidy hard parts kinda feel like those kiriko's wiggling back and fort shooting since they need 2 headshots and ur ded meaning u can take 1 while any body shot she gets she get healed back supports passive heal is a huge difference compared to overwatch 1

Honestly yeah, if your not hitting shots as widow it just isnt meant to be shes literally the easiest sniper to play 😂. I prefer Hanzo since he's more versitile, has better mobility, I don't alert an entire country to my position and he still has wall hacks. That and his Ult actually does something if you know when and where to shoot it. Least with his ult you can push enemies off a payload.
I feel like warming up in ow makes me worse. I mean sure if I just woke up a qp game is nice before comp, but I get burnt out after like 10 games max lmao
Real tip: if you are about to die to a diver, turn your back at them. After one second, your hidden passive "caught in my web" will activate as they see that booty. Enemies under the effect are unable to move for 1.5 seconds, making them an easy target for a headshot.
Last tip is alright but the first 2 are uh very bad. Yes repositioning is good but if you get dived with grapple on cool-down your practically dead already, works just fine on the rollout and getting to sneaky off angles but in most situations using grapple to escape from threats like reaper or tracer is a better use of the cool-down and will help you stay in the fight (it’s even better when you can reposition to a good angle and get away from dive characters at the same time) don’t spam grapple, your not going to hit those air shots consistently and your best bet is to go for easy kills rather than flashy ones, you’ll get more value out of widow and your team probably won’t ask you to switch off as much.
Now how do you explain that I am a silver or gold only since overwatch 1 season 1 up to today but in 1v1 widowmakers i can easily destroy even masters.. aim gets me only this far in that game? i used to play a LOT of unreal tournamnet back in the day.

Pro Sigma Tips when?
I have a few:
Use your Kinetic Grasp as a Human Shield, especially when your barrier goes down
Fly up as high as you can when ulting, then use your ult to get higher.. it’s definitely better if you have an enemy in your grasp
The Accretion will stun and knock enemies back. Effectively, it can be used as a “boop”
Listen to music when playing him :3

First tip: switch to Mei cause Widow is ass now and slow is back :)
The last tip helped so much!! I found and aim training game and it helped my aim so much. I hopped into a game after the training and I got so many head shots I had the 2nd most kills with roadhog having the most! I’m definitely gonna start doing more warmups

It completely depends on the person and hero. I don't think the dot is the very best possible option but it's generally quite decent for most.

Rather then vertical shots why not talk about power needed to kill squishy cause too many people just charge to 100% even when they don't need it. Vertical shots waste your grapple which is your only movement for your slow ass sniper

Hanzo takes much more skill to play and actually get one taps, you have to actually think about placing your shots not just throwing shots out at head level.

Did you really just make a video of "How to be better at x character" and your literal tips are: Use a jump at the end of a grapple (as if that makes a ton of difference half the time, as if no one knows that. Tip 2: Use the grapple, but different (so use her ability...again?) and tip 3: Practice. You cant make this shit up. Guys you know how to get better at Mccree? Um tip 1: use WASD to walk around, tip 2: press roll to move and tip 3: press roll to reload. Youre welcome, now youre all better players.
The tips are good but I just have to laugh each time I see someone do those idiotic little mouse flicks when they shoot someone.. it's completely unnecessary and if you miss do more harm than good.
