    What would you create with Korg's MPS-10?

    Not bad korg, want to hear those kits! Unexpected drop let’s see how it does against the SPD SX Pro

    This is starting to look better than the SPD-SX Pro for my rig

    Can you control any of the looping functions via a foot switch? Like starting or stopping a particular track? Thx

    • @BandH
      @BandH  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, you can connect a footswitch and/or expression pedal to the Korg MPS-10. An expression pedal can be used to control keyboard expression and volume parameters, and a footswitch can be used for play/pause commands and other functions.

    All very beautiful! A question: Who came up with the idea of placing the display and control panel between the pads? Three months later and he ends up destroyed by chopsticks!

    Can it connect to a midi controller to play styles? Do you know if we have any software or device that could allow us to connect to a midi keyboard controller to play styles like the Yamaha PRS for OMB?

    • @BandH
      @BandH  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Korg MPS-10 may be connected to a MIDI controller. It features a 5-pin MIDI DIN output for transmitting MIDI signals to other hardware. Use this to connect to an external sound generator or other MIDI device. When you use a cable to connect the MIDI OUT connector of the MPS-10 to the MIDI IN connector of an external MIDI device, you can use the pads of the MPS-10 (or the pads connected to the MPS-10) to play the external MIDI device. This unit can transmit and receive MIDI messages and USB audio signals to/from a computer that’s
      connected via USB. Use a USB flash drive to import sample data into this unit that was created on a different device, or to
      back up the settings of the MPS-10. >Mark

    Great demo! Is there a quantize feature for the looper when playing beats internally or do you have to be good at drumming like you?

    • @BandH
      @BandH  ปีที่แล้ว

      Though not specifically mentioned as quantization, the Korg MPS-10 provides:
      Continuous control pads (CC pads: the four pads at the top of the panel) that can control parameters such as the built-in effects in real time, according to where you strike the pads. The MPS-10 features a four-track looper that lets you record not only the sound from this unit, but also audio from external input as well. As each track can be recorded and played back in sync, and this unit also features a built-in effects unit for the looper, you can play the MPS-10 like a DJ. >Mark

    Great video man! Just wanted to check if you can link pads to play together just by hitting one of the pads? For example Pad 1 is a backing track routed to main out, pad 2 is the click and cues for that track routed to phones and sub out. Then both pads 1 and 2 are linked such that if I hit pad 1, pad 2 plays simultaneously along with it?

    • @BandH
      @BandH  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Different PAD modes are offered that will allow this capability:
      Pad Mode: Normal, Exclusive1,2, Series, Random, Latest
      Sets the operating mode for the currently selected pad.
      Normal: The normal state, in which the pad does not work in conjunction with other pads.
      Exclusive1,2: With this setting, only one of the other pads in the same group can play at the same
      time. The last pad that you struck plays, and all other pads that had been playing up to that point are
      forcibly muted.
      Series: Striking any pad in a group of pads sequentially triggers the other pads within the group.
      Random: Striking any pad in a group of pads randomly triggers the other pads within the group.
      Latest: The pad works the same as the last pad that was struck, instead of using its own settings.

    Can a loop be saved, named and stored?

    • @BandH
      @BandH  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes it can. Record not only the unit's sound but also external audio with the four-track looper via its 32 GB of internal memory or by inserting a USB flash drive. Play and manipulate tracks in sync, with built-in effects, making it perfect for live looping performances. >Mark

    Doesn't sound to be very diferent from my Alesis Strike Multipad , apart from changing kits without interruption, why Alesis haven't thought that , no interruptions 😔

      And strike multipad will brick if you edit samples too often because of the read/write limit on the internal sd card

      @@billmint8122 By "brick" do you literally mean the device will malfunction and cease to stop working ever again, or did you mean to say something like "freeze"?
