As a photographer i can definitely agree with all this steps...... appreciated man 🔥🔥🔥🔥
“Don’t focus on your subject” “Simplify”! 😂 The dichotomy of creativity. Anything goes as long as it works. I’m a simplify kinda guy myself 😊 Great vid
Yeah, that one got me too. Which is it man, WHICH IS IT?!?!?! lol why not both?
Rule # .9 Don't be afraid to take photos. Early on, in the late 80', I missed so many photos because I was not willing to take the risk and get "looks" from people as to why I was taking pictures. I wouldn't take pictures because I was afraid of what the "authorities" would say (i.e. You can't take pictures here.). I later learned from a seasoned photographer that it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission in most cases. 90+% of the time, the "authorities" wanted to be in the photo, LoL. I think in the past 30+ years I've only had to ask forgiveness twice and asked to delete pictures once by a mom who was in a protection program and didn't want pictures of her daughter taken. I was taking little league softball pictures at the time. I didn't take offense and deleted pics. Some people have their reasons. Great advice in the video.
Honestly agree I had that same issue when I first started nowadays I got over it and most of them time people don’t really care as much the only time I’ve really had anyone really stare or even say anything to me is when I was in Vegas around a lot of drunk people 😂
I actually like to zoom in and then take as much as possible steps back... I love the compression.
same but i think if ur going for storytelling its not the way to go
i agree with you
@@Aqua2D
@@michielboer5752 woah woah woah ur not supposed to do that in the yt comment section, too far
😅🔥
@@Aqua2D Hahah okay wait… Are you NUTS!?! How could you possibly say thats not the way to go. Many people have been doin it like that for years.
Stunning pics in the "contrast" section.
As a amature landscape photographer i agree to all of these 🙌✍️✍️
You're the best man!
Yes!! I'm slowly learning all this.
Thank you very much. I'll definitely save this and share this.
Depending on the situation, sometimes taking a photo 5 meters away with optical zoom works better than macro at giving a bokeh
“Shoot a moment, not a subject” was a huge revelation for me
These are some great tips, they can make such a big difference
me wanting to take a moon pic:
🤡🙏🙏
Clouds are the most important thing you can focus on to get an interesting and unique moon shot
Bro....
Don't forget to follow tip #1😅
Thank you for sharing your perspective through these amazing ideas. Your content always brightens my day!
Absolutely! Great delivery.....Thank you!
Brilliant as always ❤
If you have good telephoto/periscope lens from 3x to 5x or 6x and good lighting then use it because it provides natural depth as well provide better facial features then a 1x lens unless you know exactly how to adjust facial features for most single person I always use my pixel 6 pro 4x lens, I also have Sony 1ii but 3x lens quality is very soft compare to others
This is super helpful. Thanks 🙏
“All about light”. Nice.
Totally agree 👍
Love this, thank❤ you so much!
Dude it was the most informative shorts I've ever seen 🎉
good tips as always, Joris!
Thanks! 🙏🏻💥
Your videos resonate with me.
GREAT tips, bro. Love it!! 📷💙
Truth!
Cool tip!

Great and simple tips 👌💪
These are great tips, but the best way is not to take what you’re doing too seriously. If you analyze your photography like you have to get it done for some deadline or something, not only will you not get the photo you want but you’ll take the fun out of it. Enter with no expectations. Also don’t be afraid to get dirty looks. It isn’t avoidable.
Thank you for sharing
Be respectful of other people's personal space. And feel free to zoom in. High compression is awesome for bringing the scenery closer to your subject, and there's the added bonus of not upsetting anyone.
Excellent !
Thank for the tips.
No problem! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I like your videos and very useful information thank you. Do you have any tips on how to get GoPro footage to look good on TH-cam shorts?
Great advice
Wow, really good advice. Nice!
Excellent

You're amazing
Thanks bro 🤜
love ur content . Can you please make a video on mobile photography.
Fan Ho just never fails to impress
It’s usually finding the balance between rule-3 and rule-5 that produces the best results for me. They not exactly the same thing but still dun to play around with.
good advice!
Awesome!
Thank you
So helpful, Joris - really appreciated 🤘🙏
👊🏻💥

Like the photo of india❤❤
👏👏👏
“Get into your subjects personal space” Wildlife photographers: 😢
😮😮
Obviously don't use digital zoom, but optical is fine.
Digitally is just fine... you really think I'm gonna hire a guy to zoom in and out 😅
@@JorisHermans No I just meant that by zooming digitally there's a loss in quality.
@@reden_fx Right, yes, but then it kinda depends on what your end resolution is. If you shoot in 4k and publish a 1080 video you won't lose any quality by zooming a bit here and there.
@@JorisHermans It's fine but at that point if you shoot in 4K you would be able of doing crop in post instead of using digital zoom while recording...
@@reden_fx Guess there's a bit of miscommunication, I was talking about crop in post. I call it digital zoom sometimes 🤷🏻♂😅
the first tip photographers should get , is to not be a creep and ask for permission before you take photos of someone
no. that's a terrible tip, unless you want unnatural reactions from your subjects.
Rule no one keep your hand stable.
Reok Pro can be a good fit
Zooming is very useful. Because with zooming we make photo look like 50 mm focal length.
Yes, but only optical Zoom and not Digital blurry Zoom 😉
That’s what i was about to say🤦♂️
If you want great picture in whatever event higher an Indian 😊
But what if the girl doesn’t like it when I get close to her to record her without her permission… I think zooming in works just as good :)
73rd Commented 💙
Lol no the first step is literally the only reason why people hate photographers 1st step is to ask people if you can take a picture of them.
not if you use tele, they'd have no idea 😋
but when the subject is a bird ?
I am from India. I want to say you something.
Okay I see
Great! First step for taking great photos is being able to see. 👍🏻
3 and 5 seem a bit contradictory
Capture more! Capture less!
Followed all these tips and my girlfriend still says they ain’t insta worthy smh
Are you Matthew Broderick?
