Our Lord Jesus is always there for us in all of our lifes struggles,,, including giving us the strength and motivation to maintain a happy and decluttered home for our families..the last thing I do every night and have been doing for years now ,,, is reciting multiple times " Thanks be too God " .. as I'm drifting off to sleep ...at the end of the day never forget to be grateful for the gift of that day 🙏🙋♀️❤💜
My dad and grandpa built my parents’ home in the 1950s. They lived there for 64 years until my dad died and mom sold the house to move to an independent senior living apartment. We made a small book for the new home owners with photos of my parents (one at their age when they built the house and one more recent photo.). We also included some construction photos and their testimony of raising 4 children in their Christian home. We included the booklet, “My Heart, Christ’s Home”, in the back of the book. We left it In a kitchen cabinet for the new owners to discover. That little booklet has meant a lot to me through the years.
Dearest Mary Beth your openness about your faith is what caught my attention and has kept it for quite some time. God is interested in all our details and that is such a blessing. Keep on doing what you do, keep Jesus in sight, and thank you for all the good tips you share.
I have been on a slow journey with Cass, Dana and Dawn. Slow progress. (I wish that decluttering was a “thing” when my kids were little. They are now adults.) Anyway, we were brought up with frugality and the “you never know when you might need that” philosophy. My house is full. I have been making some progress but not enough. Anyway, I burst out laughing when you said you might have “too many coffee cups”. (Yep, so true. I had just decided to get rid of a couple this morning before I watched your video. They don’t all fit in the “container” {Dana}) But, I have also been stalled on my faith journey too. (God bless you for parenting children with special needs.) ❤
I came to your channel about a year ago from Dawn the Minimal Mom and I love your content! I enjoy your teachings, the grace you share and learning how faith and decluttering (simple living) makes a difference in our lives ( physical, mental, spiritual) 💖💖💖
I just found you this morning while while watching Dawn. Yes I'm also here for the FAITH decluttering ! I need all the encouragement I can get. Thank you !!
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews 11:6 Keep up the good work ❤
We are all on the spectrum in our house both parents and three children, well almost adults at 23,21 and 17 , 21 and 17 are in the church the other one is still finding herself, thank youcso much for a real channel of the God project, I just love your use of the word, my favorite scripture is Phillipians 4v8, 😊, God bless you and yours.
I so appreciate that you present the faith side of decluttering. I could not have celebrated the successes I have so far without God's help. And I trust him to help me as I continue to progress. God bless you and all of your viewers! 💕
Hi Marybeth. I so enjoy your videos. I enjoy faith based decluttering videos. I didn't mind a little mess when my sons were little, as long as it didn't take too long to clean up. And their legos and matchbox cars stayed in their rooms so I didn't kill my feet.😁 They are 26 and 23 now. Time flies. During some of my quiet time, I like to watch your videos. The tone of your voice is relaxing to me. As you declutter, I'll be decluttering right along side of you. Have a wonderful weekend.
I have come to understand that decluttering without a faith focus is such a set up for failure. I am here, I am listening, I am a member of your tribe.
I totally subscribed to you *because* you blend walking with Jesus Christ, with our ongoing battles with the stuff in our homes. I had never heard them combined before. (I love the other ladies you went on vacation with, also. What a dream group of friends!! ) I will be subscribing on my other account, too, so I don’t miss any of your content between log-ins. 😉 Prayers for joy, and peace, to you, and yours. Thanks for all you are doing. 🙏🏼🇨🇦
Thank you so much for your Faith filled content. The word and faith should blend with every aspect of our lives - even organizing and decluttering. God bless you. I’m in!🙏🏼
That’s such a great tip!!!! I also do the inverse and take a picture whenever my house is clean, so I can remind myself, I got it this way and I can get I back there and I’m not always a “failure” (we are not failures but I back talk to my negative self talk)
I homeschool my 4 kids and I am super structured with our schedule… part of the reason is 4 adopted kids with 3 out of foster care as well. Being a bit more diligent when it goes to chaos is just a must…
I love the way you show that faith and decluttering are so connected. Your videos inspire me in both ways and are making a big difference to my home. I’ve only just started but I am determined to have one space in my home where the clutter or my family doesn’t distract me while I try and have my quiet time.
A while ago, I did what you were describing and took photos of my rooms. I was really shocked when I looked at the photos and how much clutter there really was that I never noticed. Clutter blindness much!
I am in total agreement about my faith being integrated into every part of my life. My identity is in Christ and he cares about my home too. Don't stop reminding us that He wants to be involved in all parts of our lives. After all, we are told to have the mind/attitude of Christ. I have heard the same thing about politics (that we Cshould leave religion out of politics) but we can't do that. Keep it up. I'm thankful for you and praying for you.
I am JUST LIKE YOU!!!! The mess makes me nutty!!! Like, mom rage, anxiety, depression, and full on ADHD! Yes, they are making memories, but it doesn't have to be a complete mess.
Faith is a huge part of my life, and using God's provisions wisely is also important. It is a work of progress every day, but minimalizing has reduced the stress in my life immensely. It's given me more time to focus on the things and people that really matter. I love your channel!
I laughed my head off when i saw that....and it was coz of kids!! I dealt with a messy room of toys, with a rake! Simple solutions for simple basic problems. The play area we had was a walk thru path, so i had a simple plastic garden rake, and would just sweep it aside.
Thank you so much! My kids have commented when they come home how they feel good in our home because it's orderly most of the time. Thank you! God bless you!
I feel like you are Dawn's other sister. I'd actually love to see a faith series with you and Diana. I need to continue to see faith integrated in decluttering and routines because I battle guilt for ignoring the house to spend time with God or ignoring God to catch up on essential housework. My husband is currently working 80+ hours a week outside of the house between his job and renovating the house we're buying off his parents soon. It's a hard season with three under five. 😭
Here for it all the faith based decluttering and perspective. I laugh a little every time you mention the sign though. I had the sign as a gentle reminder to myself to check my perfectionism. I wanted encourage sibling bonding time and imaginative play, but this often looked like forts made of boxes and blankets in the living room of our small home. I never looked at it as an excuse to let important things go undone, but as a reminder to let the little things go. I definitely can see how it can be taken the opposite way though.
Your channel is always inspiring. I love how your faith infuses everything you do, and I also appreciate hearing from a fellow special needs adoptive mom who can relate to the uniqueness which that brings to my home! 😊
Totally agree with you Mary Beth that we need to involve God in all areas of our lives. He cares about us and our mental health and He knows how living in a mess will affect us. As you rightly point out, if we pray and ask for His wisdom in our decluttering, He is only too happy to help us. That was a very helpful video, thank you. xx
Ok, so I've had this video on my "watch" list for 9 days... . TODAY I'm listening to it and you mention "My Heart, Christ's Home" and I go "HUNH????" You see, about an hour ago I was thinking about a box of books in the living room that have been there for exactly ONE YEAR (it was last Sunday, Feb. 14 that I moved my stuff out of storage -- on a Sunday so I wouldn't have to pay another month's storage fees...but I digress). . ANYWAY...I was thinking about taking that box of books to my pastor this week to see if he'd like to have them. They are the workbooks and resource reading from a "50-Day Adventure" from 1997 or so that I bought to use in my church but never have. . ANYWAY, I'm thinking about that box of books and I says to myself, "Well, I could let them all go, except for maybe that "My Heart, Christ's Home"--I should probably read that one." Now, I know NOTHING about this book, except that I bought it in 1997 and lugged it through moving from one province to another and then moving twice within my home province since then! . Think God's trying to tell me to read that book?!? Duh-uh!! (And tell me to get the books out of the livingroom!!) Love your videos! . Keep keeping Christ in the Christian Home! 🌿M
Thank you for your encouragement. I appreciate simple living and minimalism, but am overwhelmed by everyday life which includes both typical kids and special needs. The Lord is my strength. Thank you for faith based content. I want to make quick progress to see the impact, but it feels so slow.
Being intentionally missional in the way we live, our faith drives everything! I am residential employee for a faith based non profit so yeah, homemaking and hospitality are totally faith driven here.
thank-you for another wonderful and inspiring session. Yes, Marie K might not be cleaning up as much as she did previously but I am sure that she declutters constantly. I once heard that our homes should be inviting to the Lord too ... and that makes me get my stuff together! I have been on the decluttering journey for many years and clutter creeps in constantly and needs to be managed on a daily basis, because as you mentioned, clutter can be overwhelming for many of us.
Faith based decluttering is the best kind of decluttering! Just like faith based anything is the best kind of anything haha! When you look at a thing through the Bible lens it always turn out better and easier to do!
I had declutterd my home about 2 years ago and I had a baby boy in April and my house is a mess now because now i have boy and girl and they both have different things so its crazy how much more stuf we needed for him
I love how you incorporate your faith with your daily life - whether decluttering or any other chore you’re doing. “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might” Ecclesiastes 9:10
I am here for the faith based content. I am an empty nester and will never be a true minimalist. I do get so much encouragement from your videos and they bring back the memories of having young children. Keep up the good fight. You are encouraging more people than will leave comments.
Bravo! Our possessions can steal focus from so many things including our Lord and our families. Not to mention stealing from our financial resources. God has a lot of advice in His word on where your heart is. ❤️❤️❤️
My favorite part of your blog. It sets you apart. When I first started minimizing like I was making it more about getting rid of stuff to just for my pleasure and not submitting to the Lord. Grateful for you!! Kelly K
Faith based decluttering is why I’m a subscriber and enjoy your videos. My goal for 2023 is to spent more time with God to deepen my faith and an additional benefit has been a difference in my decluttering attitude and the ability to let the “stuff” go.
I love your mix of decluttering and Faith. I have decluttered. I have space for Faith. Now I need to apply my decluttering motivation to move deeper into my Faith. I fell off the wagon a bit, there.
This video caught my attention when I came to youtube this evening. I have listened to you before, but I'm not a regular on this or any decluttering channel. But, because you did mention your faith and the importance of your having time with the Lord in the morning, I was very much drawn to listen to this video. I agree with that thought. I've raised my children, and I'm in a different time of life than the growing years you are in now. I can relate to everything you said. ( nothing against Marie Kondo, but I couldn't follow her ideas at all. Dump it all out on the floor.. lol that's a disaster in process for me. Then touch or hold an item to see if it sparks joy. That idea practically reminds me of worshiping idols. Yes, I may be taking it a bit too literally, or it's a language barrier. I could agree we all have much more than we need in our homes. As you've said, the time taken up to keep up with too much in our homess leaves little time left to declutter. This was my problem. Thank you for a perspective that comes from a faith based perspective. I'll continue to stay here. Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might.
Mary Beth, I love your honesty and your sharing about how faith integrates into your life. I'm convicted by your example of early morning time with the Lord on a daily basis.
Yess Sista! More faith content please! This world is ever increasingly hostile to Believers who pattern our lives to follow Jesus example. Blessings to you!🥰
Faith and decluttering, how can we not see the connection? It is what keeps us going, so we can focus on God. I can’t focus in chaos. I need to have order around me. The two are important to me. You are spot on, MaryBeth. I raised 4 children, 3 with disabilities, as a single working mother, I had to have order just to function and rely on God to get me through the difficult times.
So glad it's not just me, I am disabled and fighting hard to do a little at a time but it's getting too much for me. I think I need to take photos and reasses xxxxxxxx
I definitely appreciate and look forward to your faith and decluttering content! You are so down to earth and love the Lord that you encourage me so much. Thank you! God Bless you🥰
Mary Beth, this is wonderful support group for moms! Wish I'd had such when I was raising my son (amidst all of the toys). No one seemed to feel the stress like I did. Even now at the empty nest stage, I tune in and find the conversation and tips so encouraging as I continue caring for our home.
I am totally here for the faith based decluttering. ❤ keep fighting the good fight, Mary Beth!!
So glad you are here! 💕

Faith based decluttering is really the best! ALL things for God’s glory. 😊Thank you for all that you do and share.
I just found you this morning while while watching Dawn. Yes I'm also here for the FAITH decluttering ! I need all the encouragement I can get. Thank you !!

Keep up the good work ❤
Yes, I am most definitely here for the faith based content. Your channel is unique in that aspect.
I appreciate that!

I’m here for your faith-based discussion and insights! And also your sense of humor 😄 Definitely a bright spot in my day!
I love how you incorporate minimalism with your faith! 💞💞💞Keep doing what you are doing friend!
Thanks friend! 💕
Hi Marybeth. I so enjoy your videos. I enjoy faith based decluttering videos. I didn't mind a little mess when my sons were little, as long as it didn't take too long to clean up. I agree, the east clean up is key!

That's a great idea!
Yes! Our faith needs to be apart of Everything! I can't do it without His help!
Amen!
Yay! I have to comment even before the video starts…. Once I heard MK’s comments from the news I was soooo hoping you would do a video on it! Yay!
It was interesting news for sure!
Here for the faith based decluttering!!!
I homeschool my 4 kids and I am super structured with our schedule… part of the reason is 4 adopted kids with 3 out of foster care as well. Being a bit more diligent when it goes to chaos is just a must…
MaryBeth, the reason I'm here is because of your Christian faith based videos. Jesus is part of my life 24x7.
One of my favorite things about your channel is how you bring faith and decluttering together. Keep sharing!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!! 💕
I love the way you show that faith and decluttering are so connected. Your videos inspire me in both ways and are making a big difference to my home. I’ve only just started but I am determined to have one space in my home where the clutter or my family doesn’t distract me while I try and have my quiet time.
I know that struggle, that was a big part of getting up early for me. 💕
I totally agree with your comment about kids with special needs (I have 2 plus a husband with ADHD). Less is more!
Bless you friend, my husband has undiagnosed ADHD and this point I’m pretty sure even the dog has it. I feel like I chase squirrels half the day. 😂
A while ago, I did what you were describing and took photos of my rooms. I was really shocked when I looked at the photos and how much clutter there really was that I never noticed. Clutter blindness much!
It’s true!
Love the idea of taking pictures of our spaces!
I love that you have faith based content! It keeps me Christ-centered instead of self-centered,
I love your faith based approach!!! It’s very unique and God has blessed me by your channel
Thank you! That means a lot!
I love the idea of faith based decluttering. I've never thought of it like that before. Thank you 😊
I am in total agreement about my faith being integrated into every part of my life. My identity is in Christ and he cares about my home too. Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment!
I am JUST LIKE YOU!!!! The mess makes me nutty!!! Like, mom rage, anxiety, depression, and full on ADHD! Yes, they are making memories, but it doesn't have to be a complete mess.
Yes, I appreciate what you teach about faith-based decluttering! Decluttering has improved my faith and vise versa.
My faith is at the core of everything!! Thanks for sharing from the heart!!
Thank you so much! My kids have commented when they come home how they feel good in our home because it's orderly most of the time.
Thank you! God bless you!
That is awesome!
The human landing zone. You nailed it. We need a soft place to land.
Yes we do!
Yes to the faith based decluttering! Keep it coming! You inspire so many of us!
You do have your hands full! It won’t always be like this. 💕
I hear ya! I'm in the trenches, too, with similar circumstances but hang in there, we'll get through it (Phil 4:13)!
She looks like she could be her sis 😮
Yes, keep up with faith content. I enjoy the connections. So glad you were able to get away to Mexico with friends!
Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you for sharing from your heart! Thank you also for sharing that reading - heart changing!
Amen! 💕
Totally agree with you Mary Beth that we need to involve God in all areas of our lives. He cares about us and our mental health and He knows how living in a mess will affect us. As you rightly point out, if we pray and ask for His wisdom in our decluttering, He is only too happy to help us. That was a very helpful video, thank you. xx
I also have 3 boys! And the same pain points!!! Thank you for being a mom who understanding and a godly perspective ❤️
You get it then, always an adventure!
Keep it coming! The faith based decluttering always brings me back on track!
Faith based. Shared the house article to my pastors wife and her response was “powerful!”
Ok, so I've had this video on my "watch" list for 9 days... . TODAY I'm listening to it and you mention "My Heart, Christ's Home" and I go "HUNH????" Just what i needed to hear, bless you
Thank you for your encouragement. I appreciate simple living and minimalism, but am overwhelmed by everyday life which includes both typical kids and special needs. The Lord is my strength. Thank you for faith based content. I want to make quick progress to see the impact, but it feels so slow.
I love your faith based decluttering!
Being intentionally missional in the way we live, our faith drives everything! I am residential employee for a faith based non profit so yeah, homemaking and hospitality are totally faith driven here.
That’s awesome! 💕
U are awesome
Love the faith connection to decluttering
I’m here for the faith based content/minimalism, tidying. It makes so much sense to me. Thank you for all you do!
Oh how I love the writing you mentioned. It is life changing!!!
thank-you for another wonderful and inspiring session. Yes, Marie K might not be cleaning up as much as she did previously but I am sure that she declutters constantly.
That’s exactly it Carol! It reminds me of a form of idolatry too. Good eye!
Yes I do and love it
I most definitely like faith based anything. I can't do anything good without the Lord.
Amen!
🙋♀️Here for faith based decluttering. Don't change anything about your videos. Love your content and always encouraged and enspired 😊👍

Blessings to you!🥰
I’m doing the Decluttering By Faith journey 😇
That’s wonderful!

I love the faith based decluttering, please keep it up. You are an inspiration.
Thanks so much for watching! 💕
Amen! 💕
I love the faith based decluttering content.
So glad it's not just me, I am disabled and fighting hard to do a little at a time but it's getting too much for me. I think I need to take photos and reasses xxxxxxxx
Slow and steady wins the race! You can do this! 💕
@At What Cost thinking we need someone to come in every so often to do general housework as I can't vacuum or do floors xxxxxxxx
Absolutely here for the faith based content! 😊💕
Thanks so much for watching!

The most recent words I've received are simplify and get rid. Can't put it off, need to do it starting now.
I definitely appreciate and look forward to your faith and decluttering content! You are so down to earth and love the Lord that you encourage me so much. Thank you! God Bless you🥰
Thank you so much!!! 💕
Mary Beth, this is wonderful support group for moms! Wish I'd had such when I was raising my son (amidst all of the toys). No one seemed to feel the stress like I did. Even now at the empty nest stage, I tune in and find the conversation and tips so encouraging as I continue caring for our home.
Thank you so much! 💕
