Those Madeira candle sticks match my Franciscan dinnerware that Ken and I had when we first married in 1971. I still have the dishes and the glasses that go with them. Laura snd Mary Beth drink out of a couple of those glasses like mine. They said they glow under a blacklight.
Oh yes! Some of the Tiffin glasses that went along with them do glow. I didn't realize you had Madeira, you'll have to pull it out sometime if I get around there
George, I have used denture tabs to clean my fenton, Waterford, and other vases. It works amazingly. Plus, I'm a cub fan and love the t-shirt 😘 Xena . You two are a blast.
George you and Zeno, hit the mother load! Everything y'all picked were at amazing prices. I'm in Orlando Florida and can't wait until you both comes to Mt. Dora! Gonna be on the lookout! Ya. And by the way...love those our fits y'all wearing...looks like you in sunny Florida already!!! 🌞
I just saw this video, and it's a good thing. I inherited a display cabinet with glass shelves, and some pieces of brilliant glass, very heavy. I had them on one of the shelves, and didn't know the weight could be a problem. I've rearranged my stuff, and put in some lighter weight items.
AUGH!!! I took my Nyquil and slept thru this. I love Looky Looky There is a booth in the first aisle towards the back on the right that looks like it's a hoarder booth. Looks like he just threw stuff in with no organization. I got a cool chess set for $2 that i cleaned up and sold for $25 at the flea market AND a wagner iron skillet for $3 that I sold for $30.
I love Love LOVE that pattern of Stangl! & plan on building a set of it in the future! I also grew up with that dark black & green Franciscan! Mom's fancy plates!
@@TheAntiqueNomad I agree! I love the blueish gray with the brown. Colors are masculine enough that it allows me to get a lovely floral that my husband actually approves of! Not an easy task! He will be using them too so his opinion matters..... even if it is just a little tiny bit 😏
No idea where the mixer was made. GE was very big in this area including a light military but, like a lot of American industry they moved operational out of the country and got government tax breaks to do so. Your knowledge of history is as amazing as the Antique and vintage finds themselves. Are you still writing/documenting, someone should review your videos and extract your historical incites.
Hi George & Zeno. I did the same as you did & tried finding Looky Looky near the Pizza place on Green River & GPS'd my way to the new one. I didn't see much when i went about 6 mos ago, tho. They didn't have a restroom, either & neither did the business next door, so didn't stay long, needless to say. I went thrifting at a vendor's mall in Owensboro, Ky the other day & i got a few things that reminded me of you, George. One was a trinket plate with an owl & Florida on it made by Treasure Craft which i only paid $2 for. Another thing was a small oval picture with shells & St Petersburg, Fl on one shell with wicker encircling it. Looks old & I actually think someone used it for a coaster because it had a drink ring on it that can be easily washed off. The last thing was a lucite trivet with abalone pieces in it. Whenever i see lucite with shells it brings to mind the reseller challenge you had with Danni, the Niche Lady & you brought the lucite toilet seat & won, if i'm not mistaken. I'm finding myself having to go to Evansville tomorrow, so may visit the St Vinney, thanks to your advice.
Oh the owl trinket dish is fun! I like those little souvenir pieces. I laugh when I see lucite toilet seats now! You might like the St. Vinny, and you might try Looky Looky again, they seem like they've filled out a lot

The Carnival Glass vase, at 4:23, is Dugan's "Stork and Rushes". Loved the Empire vase, at 5:39. I'm not into vases too much, but there are a few that catch my eye. The china ones more so than the glass ones, with a few exceptions. I have to say...I'm with Xeno on the piece at 7:05 😝😅 Just couldn't see that next to a piece of R S Prussia😂 I have a couple of the globe banks. One of them has many different airlines round the base. I've had it since I was a child. The piece of glass, at 19:34, looked like a piece of Northwood. That shade of green and the gold trim really looked like his glass. The piece at 20:22 screams Northwood. I would go absolutely nuts with all those wood fishing lures! I don't care if they're grimy or not; I like those. They would look good scattered about among the collection of vintage fish planters I have. I could spend quite a bit of time in that vendor mall. Thanks for the take-along!!!

@@TheAntiqueNomad Well thank you for informing me. And telling me that it was Fenton because I would never of known it was Fenton either. I have had some Fenton people didn’t think was Fenton because it was the newer pieces I think it’s called Sandust it does not look like any of Fenton‘s pieces so it throws people off. But I found it in their catalog is how I identified it but it’s been a little while since I had it I have one more piece left I sold the other three pieces. IDK if its anywhere close to where you are, but in Vincennes IN there is the most amazing thrift store - looks like an antique store, but with thrift pricing.
