End of day was a dealer name for multicolor glass. There was no left over glass at the end of the work day in glass factories. The glass furnaces were closed up and reopened again in the morning.
Love watching you, it’s like going to a school of my choice. The knowledge that you keep in your head and then bestow that upon us when appropriate, just stellar!
I appreciate you sharing your vast amount of knowledge with us George. Im so happy Crazy Lamp Lady shared you with us awhile back. She is also on my top list of videos. Just love her and her family. I just cant get enough of your videos. I learn so much from you. You are a kind soul George. Hi to Xeno as well. Thank you fir sharing your years of knowledge and know how! Love love love watching you!
Just amazing to watch your videos esp. when you travel from state to state and show us all those wonderful vintage and antique items. Wish to tag along with you.😊❤🎉👍Keep on showing us wonderful finds! Be safe in your travels,be well.
I’m so glad you made it to the Centerville Antique Mall! (My Mall) I was happy to see you there. It was a surprise when I clicked on it. Thank You for coming. And you showed my case with the gold miner license plate. What a kick! I wish I could have been there to watch you film. We have had some turnover lately hopefully we’ll get more vintage and antique coming in. Thanks again so much, what a kick!
I’d be missing for a few days in that mall lol. If you’re a collector, so many choices to make . A reseller , well less choices as you have to watch the asking price . Thanks for the great video .
The New Paris Antique Mall in New Paris Ohio is just off of i70 not far from there. Historic 3 story building with full basement. All floors filled with real antiques and vintage!
I had never seen the Franciscan strawberry one...that was wonderful. I am so glad you love dishes and glass..thanks George. You never cease to amaze me..and connect me to my true home...NW..and a place i want to check out the real Florida...and being a lover of what Dad calls stoof.
As a Brit I love watching your vids George.Sometimes I hear you mention British firms like Shelley and Denby and I’m like “ ooh I know those ones well!” Sometime you venture into middle ground, Europe, and I get to hear names I’m a bit familiar with like Goebel & Lomonosov. But the majority of stuff you talk about is fascinating as we just don’t have the brands, advertising, or even way of life that creates some of the things you have over that side of the pond. .
Alabama also has a Centreville, in the middle of the state. Dis you know about the Hwy 127 sale that is a continuous sale from Gasxen, Alabama all the way to Michigan? But on rural roads.
Thank you George, for your visit to and video from the Centerville Antique Mall! I’ve been there several times and I always find things that I love! I once bought a beautiful, restored antique Hoosier cupboard from there ( 30+ years ago) and it is still quite beautiful and holds a special place of honor in my kitchen! Please be safe in your travels, wherever you go and enjoy every day…🥰🎶☮️💟
I love the Weller Aetna vase, the colors are very appealing! I agree, if I'm going to a vintage/antique shop that's what I want to see. I can get new items anywhere else!
I was hoping you would look at the Aesthetic Movement covered dish at 19:27 next to the Roseville Cosmos. I sold one to a collector and hope I got a good price!
Such knowledge, quality content! So many TH-cam videos lack in time and content. Thank you. I have renewed enthusiasm for the vintage and antique items I love!
I just learned from you in this video that the blue compote I received as a wedding present in 1968 is a Westmoreland lotus pattern. I've been wondering about that since I've started watching thrifting videos. The one you showed is red but I'm sure it's the same pattern as mine. Thanks.
I can not imagine having all your knowledge...so wonderful to listen to you and hope to retain even a small amount of all you know...thank you sharing ❤❤❤
Nice tour. Thanks. Eerily quite in that place though ,really got the feeling of a formerly booming place at the tail end of a more prosperous era. Makes one wonder if certain middle of the road names will ever be as popular again i.e. Roseville, Redwing, Mc Coy, Metlock, Bauer, Franciscanware,or even somewhat higher end less 'workaday', Lalique,Wedgewood,Fostoria, Stuben, Limoges, etc. etc. I believe you even said in this video, (I'm paraphrasing) 'this dealers got things priced as though it's 30 years ago' ,and in past videos , 'at that price that's gonna continue to sit on that shelf', when in fact 20 or even as recently as 15 years ago, the item in question would have easily brought what was being asked. The only glaring exceptions seem to be advertising pieces, which kind of used to fall into, in my mind ,the broader category of rustics or farm antiques almost, in that they were not domestic items (bowls, dishes, glass wares, linens, furnishings) and certainly not 'fine antiques', or antique art, or fine art and sculpture pieces. The other exception being kitchy (dare I say, tacky?) items, and toys (even a lot of the low end cheap toys of their particular era of manufacture!) I can feel myself getting ready to 'soapbox' about recognition of worth, quality of design, and the sensibilities and tastes of the new era consumers, but anyway I will stop instead, and say, "thanks for having us along".
Bonsoir, George! Ohhh...those castor sets would've had me going nuts! Even if I had to install shelves for them... OMG! there was a Dr Pepper thermometer. I wasn't expecting to see that. It would've had to come with me, for sure. I liked that old churn. I have my great-grandmother's five-gallon churn and my grandmother's three-gallon churn, both with the original dashers. I've always wanted one of those smaller hand-cranked ones. The prices seem to be going up a bit on those. I would've gone nuts with the hair receivers, too. I really liked the "Addams Evil" book. I've always liked the cheese keepers. Mom had a super-nice flow blue one, and my brother has it now. Like you, I don't like when "antique" malls allow new stuff in them. The table just above the chaise lounge was phenomenal. I really liked the look of it. The prices there seemed really good. That space that had the 50% off sign, then marked the items "Firm"...what's the point of the 50% off sign? Thanks for taking us along shopping with you!!!
I thought you'd enjoy seeing a little Dr. Pepper there! I like castor sets but am spoiled and only would want a colored one. It was fun to see so many varieties in one place! It seems so nice that a lot of family items have come down to you. The churns are neat and harder to find now. Flow blue cheese keeper...I think the most beautifully deep flow blue piece I ever saw was one of those. I didn't know about 'Addams Evil' until adulthood, but I remember my sister showing me one of his circa 1960 books in my parents' bookcase and getting me hooked, I hadn't seen the show at that point so it was a wonderful new discovery. Hate seeing new stuff in "antique" malls. Agree fully about "50% off, excluding almost everything" signs. But it was a fun mall, and I'm glad you enjoyed coming along!
Agree with your comment about antique dealers writing on ephemera. Disappointing and unfortunately quite common here in the central valley of California. A half penny poly bag with a sticker would solve a problem that doesn't need to happen and it's a bad look for the dealer.
I was thinking the same thing,,the dealer ruined the front cover,,I collect mystical,,fortune telling vintage ephemera and they're HTf 😢,,.love learning everything ❤
Hi George, I am sorry I missed the Premiere today. Thanks for the reminder about newer Fiesta with Halloween patterns. I love both Fiesta and Halloween. I ordered a few plates and ramekins tonight so I will enjoy them this Fall. 🎃 Thanks!
There were some interesting things in there but quite a bit of the newer stuff too. Seen some pricing that is way beyond the scope too. The thing with sales that get me is they overprice stuff and then put a fifty percent off on it all. I have seen booths that are always on sale so it makes me wonder. Depending on what I see there will depend on whether I walk away or look a bit. Have a great day and safe travels

You keep debunking myths I have heard for years in the glass community, and I really appreciate it! I will pin this comment.
Love watching you, it’s like going to a school of my choice. The knowledge that you keep in your head and then bestow that upon us when appropriate, just stellar!
George, another Wonderful adventure , You go to the newest places and see the most fabulous things.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
So true. He is truly phenominal.
I am enjoed that 400 mile yardsale in KY. We went on 100 miles of it, starting on the Dixi HYW right out of Cincinnati. Take care 😊

The Heywood-Wakefield piece was beautiful 😍

I really enjoy getting to show all this stuff, and my NW roots come out when I get up there! I'm glad I get to share my enthusiasm with you!

Really love the Murano glass
16:53 Jeffrey would like that! He loves ivy stuff. 28:31 The middle vase looks like a recognizable Chribska style. I mis-identified it!
I have a Bing Grondahl piece for you I forgot to bring Saturday. 😬
34:15 haha! TH-cam isn’t letting me edit. That Kay Finch seems larger than the usual. Is it a trick of the camera?
No, it was one of her larger pieces
@@TheAntiqueNomad I’ve still not seen one in person…
That 70s couch was everything!
Really enjoyed the tour. Thank you, George.😊
That big white McCoy pitcher is handsome and looks useful.
My sign was no trespassing. 😏
I love learning. I do appreciate how you generously share your knowledge. Cheers to you. 🙂👍
Thanks George!👌💪

Passed up the Halloween Fiesta Ware!! Luncheon plates and mugs are selling for no less than $35 each!

Happy trails to you!
Love your videos. You are such a wealth of knowledge.
Such knowledge, quality content! So many TH-cam videos lack in time and content. Thank you. I have renewed enthusiasm for the vintage and antique items I love!
It is so refreshing to watch someone who knows his business. So many are guessing or giving inaccurate descriptions. You are a gem.
I luv pinecones
About 10 minutes down the road from that mall is National Antique Mall-I love sourcing there!
I hear that's a really good one! There's apparently a bunch in that area.
I just learned from you in this video that the blue compote I received as a wedding present in 1968 is a Westmoreland lotus pattern. I've been wondering about that since I've started watching thrifting videos. The one you showed is red but I'm sure it's the same pattern as mine. Thanks.
I’ve been there. I miss those days when they had all antiques!
You find the best places to share with us. Thank you😊 I wish clear glass didn't have such a bad reputation; its so beautiful 😍
I can not imagine having all your knowledge...so wonderful to listen to you and hope to retain even a small amount of all you know...thank you sharing ❤❤❤

I loved seeing the Metlox Pottery. I have service for 12 + a few serving pieces in the Vintage Pink pattern.

Great advice and as always good info.
Thank you for the the amazing journey through time! Hugs!
Love this antique mall. So many items I would love to have. You have such great will power. Thanks for sharing the adventure 😀.
Love your channel
Thank you for explaining why people were saving hair beyond remembrance -- I have wondered about the uses everytime I see a hair receiver.
Table toppers are fun

Love your videos always share video each time. Your amazing
The linens are pretty
I love your channel. I learn a lot.
Great stuff 🎉. I love seeing things that I have in my collection.❤
George, are you familiar with Pennsbury Pottery, Pennsylvania? The factory burned down in 1977. Pennsylvania Dutch, mostly browns, some commemorative.
Thank you for another informative video.
Thanx for sharing. God Bess!
I’m learning so much from you thank you 😊
Honey egg bread is buzzing because of the correlation of honey and bees George.
