Such a great game! It's a shame it's not more played worldwide.

I'll admit CORE SPACE is the preferred game for terrain and scale.

I just found this game, it's so interesting. Does it have to have someone to run the bad guys?

Being a huge fan of Heroquest, I've been waiting on this for years. Wish they'd go back to the static board.

Seems like a bad demo scenario. I assume this is the first mission to learn the game but it is so simplistic it does not showcase what the game can hopefully potentially provide for a truly interesting game.

Essentially a two player training mission for the Nexus and most basic hero.

What sort of mat do you use under the map tiles?

Idk how I feel about Star Saga. The combat system of the game feels too simplistic and bare-bones. Perhaps it is unfair for it to come only a few days after you had Aristeia, whose combat system I absolutely loved. I guess a leveled up character will have more options and tricks up their sleeve, but the characters we saw in this video felt more like minions than main characters.

I feel that Mantic Games' rules are too simple across all their games, although I prefer simplicity in dungeon-crawl board games. Also I hate restic.

Compared to other dungeon crawlers, like Imperial Assault, Star Saga sounds a bit light for $100. Imperial Assault has a cool theme, a skirmish mode, 1 long campaign, a vibrant community, an upcoming solo/coop mode, for $75. They overlap quite a bit to justify acquiring both in my opinion.

Really? I quite like the board. It looks like what I'd expect from a futuristic arena. And I have no doubt that once the game is released we'll see other boards, even playmats, and not just from Corvus Belli if the game is successful.

Even fr an intro mission, incredibly basic & boring. If the game is much better than what's shown here... then playing/previewing this mission is not a great way to show off the game. If this is what we can expect in general, just more Mercs/bad guys?
Blaster was here... & as a backer, is not impressed at all :-/
