M. Robin's playing is perfect, the organ is perfect, and the repertoire is phenomenal. I must admit, however that as much I truly prefer Cavaillé-Coll to any other builder, and as much as I prefer the French organ tradition in general, I must confess that the "reedy/ oboey" fonds gets quite grating in something that requires as much tonal purity as the Bach Fugue in G. That's the point at which I wish I could just hear a pure principal chorus or plenum WITHOUT reeds -- something a little more...German. lol. Nonetheless, bravo, and magnificent playing!

Try listening to an 18th century French Plein Jeu. A wonderful sound and without reeds...
