I was raised as a southern Baptist I believed I had felt gods presence when they prayed over my stomach and I had spoke in tongues I believe I felt the power of god. But afterwards I left Christian beliefs after researching different religions for years and trying many things I was always lead back to the religion of Abraham. When I realized that Abraham wasn’t a Christian or a Jew. Something clicked inside my head Allah had flipped the switch which would start me on this path. I recently got out of rehab and someone who I knew in rehab ended up coming to the same sober living. He ended up being my roomate he saw me trying all these different beliefs and he was a Muslim but not a very good Muslim he wasn’t doing his daily prayers but he had the knowledge. He asked me if I read the Quran and I told him no and told him I would check it out but I believed he was just trying to convert me but i wasn’t having it. It took a few days we were in the room. I finally asked him and then started studying it and a week later I’m in the mosque taking my shahada with imam. SubhanAllah! I am the happiest I have ever been in my life and I am only 32 years old. I am so grateful to know the truth of Islam and know more will be revealed as I progress I’m still learning my prayers the English first then to pronounce in Arabic. I am so so so thankful.🙏🏻 🎉

    Assallamu 'aleykum
In 2007, I also came to the same confusion as you, Sheikh, and then Allah sent one brother to me, who advised me to go study IOU, and since then I have learned a lot from you. All praise is due to Allah.

Alhamdulillah, I thank Allah for bringing me to watch your video. This matter about the different madhabs were weighing heavily on my heart. Lately, I have been hearing many Muslims telling me I need to follow one. Alhamdulillah, I listened to this. My instincts which Allah Granted me was right. Thank you, may Allah build you a mansion in Paradise.

Of all the Da'ees who speak on The Islamic Dawah circuit,i find him the most relatable. He has lived in The West and owned up to his past (rock n roller with a bass guitar,LCD use, communist party member etc).He gave all that up and pursued the Truth and stood firm in his obedience to Allah SWT despite the challenges and mtihaan Allah put him through (from being banned in Germany,Kenya,Malaysia and falsely accused of being a co-conspirator in the 93 world trade centre attacks to his parents taking nearly 21years to accept Islam).
This man is the epitome of resilience and patience. I've learnt more from his lectures than all the teachings in the madrassas i attended in Kenya.
May Allah SWT in His Infinite Mercy and Endless Ability grant Dr Bilal Abu aminah all that is beneficial fi dunya wal akhera.
    Amin ya Rabbal Aa'lamin

A complete ramble of talk with no rationality for Islam. Every other religion claims they have something to offer the world. Pointless stance to take. Looking further into the Muslim world, nearly every Muslim majority nations out of the 50 or so are in poverty - only a small few like Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait (due to oil) economically ok. Is that the rationality to follow their steps?
You talk about distribution of wealth in economics based on a Muslim model but you forgot to consider INPUT! Most financial contribution from Muslim majority nations have come from natural resources of oil and gas -without that things would be even more bleak than they are. The whole Muslim world as a GDP contribution is only about 8.1% despite nearly 25% of the world been Muslim. Clearly their INPUT is the problem. Not to mention the Muslim world only contributes less than 1.5% of all scientific research papers in the world each year. There are only 4 universities in the world top 400 leading universities that are in Muslim majority nations. There are only 2% of Nobel prize winners of total awards from Muslims. Your equation does not take into account INPUT.
    What a joke.

Your Argument is not valid. Truth is not measured by bank account figures. Besides, Muslims did lead the world when most of the world were in dark age. Seek the truth that lasts not digital wealth that evaporates with any financial crises.

Economically ok ? Are you right in the head? Those countries are richest in the world. Add Brunei to it and tell me where Saudi, Qatar, UAE alone stand. You’re clearly biased and not truthful in your speech. And who cares if oil has made them rich, the fact of the matter is they have money. Let’s take this back 700 years. Who was at the forefront of knowledge? Who introduced algebra? Who paved the way to modern medicine? Go and study you ignorant little boy.

Lol, this world isn't a place to live but to die. So, Allah will test every human here, who still believe or not. Nobel, gold, intellectuality or whatever you name are just a little bit gem instead of what Allah offers in jannah. You're gonna die. You're not living in this world forever..So what have you prepared?

Tom Tom my question to you is money materialism the answer to existence? Although it helps please reflect on the homeless guy who you pass each year in the same location and then think.
This life is our test, and Islam is the solution
