This women is literally Pete’s twin in policy and contempt he has for traditional conservatives. She is only trying to get attention for her political aspirations.
In term of it being pumped underground it depends on the rock layers. While water would tend to move towards the water table, the most likely disposal site is an old and emptied out oil well. Assuming that there is a layer of sufficiently nonporous rock between the waste water and the water table it should stay separated by the rock.
Good job ma’am you’re paying attention and asking questions if you want to talk to old Pete you better make an appointment it’ll probably be like two weeks from now if at all

The waste facility she mentioned in Romulas, Michigan was taking truck loads of waste from the cleanup until it became known to the public similar to the way it did in Texas. And they were doing "deep well injections" of toxic liquids, probably the water. But even the city executives did not know about it and supposedly neither did the governor of Michigan. according to a news brief today, Norfolk Southern did this all on their own. PER quote from the OHIO EPA. They asked them (NFS) to stop when they took over the cleanup 2 days ago. And are checking that these 4 sites are on their federal disposal lists for have done this. If they ARE certified, then pretty much this will be excused. Currently there is no limit on how long a Freight Train can be up to 3 or 4 miles long if the rail companies want to. NO ABS brakes on fright trains either. The train lobby said hell no. So public safety is not # 1.
The governor could stop this and should and if he does not then vote him out, and second why Texas? People say no to this. What is the consequences for Harris county water supply and the health effects in the community in Harris county?
Where else have they already set up shipping this biohazard chemicals by train & trucks daily?
Is it only Texas, or a neighborhood near you and me?
God Bless the First Responders and God Bless the People living there.
Why ?
what is being done to arrest and hold accountable the owners (and their families) of the railroad and train, as wel as the government officials who participated in this disaster?
oh, I forgot we are in the US... dont warry, they will find a scapegoat .
The Russians handled Chernobyl with more honesty and transparency than this fiasco. Absolutely shameful
The narrative they are giving us doesn't make any sense. The original report was that the toxic water had ran off into streams and rivers causing it to spread all over the country so how could they even have filled millions of gallons of "toxic water" if it had already spread everywhere the whole narrative makes zero sense. Think about it how would they bottle up MILLIONS of gallons of "toxic water" if it had spread everywhere? It's starting to seem like this posinous water they are bringing everywhere and injecting into the ground is literally from our own government that they probably made themselves and the whole Ohio thing was excuse or event they could use to poison different cities and deliver this stuff themselves because the original story does not add up with what they are doing. I hope that is not the case but questions need to be asked and there needs to be public pushback and protest against this
Yes you should of been told what was going on and apparently they just walked right over you. I'm thankful you are keeping up with this..
@@Quigley_Underdown shut up!!!
Shows you just how much Mayor Pete cares about the people and being transparent. So, this hazardous water is being pumped into a underground well and that’s not a problem??
This women is literally Pete’s twin in policy and contempt he has for traditional conservatives. She is only trying to get attention for her political aspirations.
Yeah he decided to send this poison to a city with 8 million people and didn't inform anyone.
Where is ABOTT?
Heck They are ALREADY CONTAMINATED LEAVE THAT POISON THERE! DON'T MAKE SENSE!
In term of it being pumped underground it depends on the rock layers. While water would tend to move towards the water table, the most likely disposal site is an old and emptied out oil well. Assuming that there is a layer of sufficiently nonporous rock between the waste water and the water table it should stay separated by the rock.
Why are they spreading this water to anywhere? They need to purify it some way. There is bound to be some method for this. What in the Hell?
Unbelievable

That "poor lady" is one of the most demonic, corrupt pieces of trash holding public office.
This “poor” lady is a corrupt democrat Lina Hildalgo, super woke and disgusting
she is so nervous & scared
Sorry, but that toxic water should go to the owners of the train to their property and not to another state.
Good job ma’am you’re paying attention and asking questions if you want to talk to old Pete you better make an appointment it’ll probably be like two weeks from now if at all
Pete isn't in charge of Texas accepting Toxic Water from another state...
No, this woman is just as corrupt as the rest of the Biden administration. She has no idea what she is doing and is completely incompetent and is in damage control mode for her fellow corrupt democrats.
Where's Ken Paxton? Need to file for an injunction to halt this immediately!!
Soooo they put out the fire with water then went and soaked the water up ??? I don’t get it

Any advice helps. I'm in Houston where they are pumping millions of the toxic water from ohio that is full of chemicals into the ground here, does anyone know of this toxic water will likely will get into the public water supply and affect showering, dish washing? Idk why people are not evacuating houston and why there is no pushback or protests I seriously don't want dioxins or any of that stuff getting into my skin and I'm about to move back to Michigan or Tennessee soon but until then I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to shower like I don't want to have to buy 100s of gallons of water but I might have to. Any advice and shower alternatives help because at this point idk if it's safe to take showers. Thank you 🙏

This Company did not communicate with 2 sites in Michigan where contaminated dirt was dumped.
She is very articulate, like i wish i could be when it matters
Wow, she can read
Guess we won't be buying deer park spring water
Are they taking it by tanker train to Texas ?
The problem is that there IS no desire to hold private industries accountable. Officials have been bought and paid for to turn a blind eye.
Send it to California.
And what are they planning on doing with it then! Boy im Glad we got rid of our property there!
The toxic water is probably being transported by rail and truck. Why doesn't the facility in Texas set up a temporary site to nutrilize the toxic water on site at the train wreck site? Transporting it further posses more contamination possibilities if more accidents occurre. Be safe my friends.
Don’t ship it via Norfolk Southern!
I thought it was Norfucked Southern now?
Will probably stay broken. Some things cannot be fixed. Too little too late.
WTH! THAT'S CRAZY! SEND THAT SH""T SOMEWHERE ELSE LIKE. Like how bout a desert where no one lives. 😔
I hear Yucca Mountain still has massive space for toxic waste & I think there are train tracks up to it 🤣

What a sweetheart of a deal....let's bag up that water and ship it to the thirtsy
Isn't that where a spring water company called Deer Park" is located?
I asked that too...😪
The lack of communication between government agencies is concerning. The fact that Judge Hidalgo is bringing this to the publics attention is impressive.

We need to protest against this and do something to stop it. They were going to try and do that to Michigan and the public pushed back and stopped it before it happened. There needs to be protests and push back from the public against this, please share with as many people as possible
Why don't we send it to Ukraine or any other country we pump US money too, the amount of money that is handed out to them instead of our own countrymen, surely they can take one for the team.
It occurs to me to ask more often now, if it is really this dangerous of a product, bthen why are we using it?
Unfortunately it takes toxic chemicals to make all the fire retardants that we must put into plastics. You know, those fire retardant chemicals that show up in 99% of newborn children's blood now. We poison our planet in the name of safety and progress. Plus $$$ let's not forget cash too 🤬
Doesn't Deer Park make bottled water???
good job
Where in Texas.
Why hasn’t it gone to any of the places closer I think there is 2 pretty close to the site
Told yall Companies moving to Texas because they get away with Shaddy Stuff
But it's safe enough to drink and bathe in!
Why travel dangerous chemical toxin to another state clean it right there on spot
Universal reason, $$$
Look up the video....A Failed Defect Detector and the Train Derailment at East Palestine
It's also being dumped in Michigan, gotta spread the toxic around kinda like those migrants.
You won’t get a straight answer
WTF
Why not Portage County, Ohio 51 miles away about 1 hour trip they have a wastewater management facility, why TX. This is asinine. That 1312 miles that's about 18 hr. trip to Deer Park.
I don't know how bit they put a stop to it. It appears that nobody wants toxic waste to be put in their backyards and deep wells. I mean, it's not like it's going to contaminate any other wells or water supplies right? Won't it stay right where they put it?
They didn't take long !!
What's Abbott saying about it? All potable well sites in Texas every month test your water (in another County)
I am wondering why corrupt Lina Hidalgo is not reaching out to Abbott?
Thank you for doing this, Miss from Harris County (environmental)
Governor Abbott will get his 10 percent.

My thought exactly. You know he negotiated a price to get his cut.

Lol, this is corrupt democrat Lina Hildalgo, Abbot was not involved and this lady is upset she did not get her cut. She hates Abbott more than each of you, and this is a political stunt given the huge backlash against Democrats over this

The hazardous waste water needs to be treated cleaned up before injected back into the ground
It has occurred..you raise good concerns..correct me if I am wrong but at one time ALL modes of transportation required an red triangle indicating hazardous material
are those trucks then "cleaned"?
sent back for other loads
used to haul other stuff?

WHY CAN'T YOU STOP IT!!??
Because tceq is straight up currupt

Wtf?!?! Did They inform the people of Texas about this?!?!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
according to a news brief today, Norfolk Southern did this all on their own. PER quote from the OHIO EPA. They asked them (NFS) to stop when they took over the cleanup 2 days ago. And are checking that these 4 sites are on their federal disposal lists for have done this. If they ARE certified, then pretty much this will be excused. Sadly, they do this all the time without notification to other communities without notification. Maybe now, they will HAVE to.

Please dont

The entire area is unfit for animals to survive because thousand of them are dying off if there are any animals remaining alive they need to be relocated immediately before they also succome from this toxic cloud to a safe and healthy environment ! By the people who blew up this toxic materials and caused this disaster! What do you think ?
they first said 3,500 animals died until all the locals and freelance journalist proving them wrong and now its supposedly at 44,000 animals big fking difference

That seems like a incredible amount of water. In my experience we always used foam or dry chemicals to extinguish chemical fires. How did they use so much? The wildfires here in the west don’t run this much water. Somethings suspicious.
