Mickey was a great guitarist & bloke. Saw him & his band perform in a small pub in Penarth around 2000. An absolute gentleman, greeting people and shaking hands.
Lovely technical but warm, intuitive playing from MG.His work on Shakin' Stevens' You Drive Me Crazy helps make it the classic pop/R&R single it is,integral to the recording,in much the same way as Jimmy Page on Dave Berry's The Crying Game.Like Roy Buchanan,he's an underplayed and underappreciated talent. Thanks for posting TG.Now where's that Shakey record?...
Can anybody identify the model of Gibson that Dave Edmunds is playing? I know it looks J 200 - ish - but there appear to be subtle differences... And while I'm here... Micky Gee - The guitar community worldwide has lost a star... The Cardiff guitar community has lost one of it's very brightest... So long, friend, RIP... and thank you. Thank you so much - for so much.
You can really tell how much Dave loved playing with Micky.
Super!
A classic rockábilly song,.played by the legend Micky Gee, and the great Dave Edmunds.
how can that be topped??
Dave is great...but another chance to see and hear wonderful Micky Gee again
Micky's guitar enhanced countless records. Dave's got a great Rock 'n' Roll voice, love it whenever he covers a Chuck or Elvis track
Another fab song from Dave & Co. He's great singing & playing Rock N' Roll!! I could listen to him play his Rockabilly day & night! 👌❤️
Perfect! Thanks and thanks again for posting these clips of the fantastic Mickey Gee. I saw hm with Dave on many occasions - always immaculate.

Silvercloud it was big Jim sullivan not page who usually played rhythm on sessions
Fantastic slap Bass.
I didn't know Bob Cotton from the Jets had played bass for Dave Edmonds.Dave picked a good bassist there!
Класс!
Excellent, Just a shame there is not a little more info on the gig,
And the players to let the younger generation know who they were.
Bob Cotton from The Jets on Double Bass
Yep, everybody on that stage has great rock 'n' roll credentials.
