That store was expensive! Paid $40 last year for an apple, one dehydrated meal and something else that I can’t remember.
Yeah it was. We’ve noticed all the small stores along the trail seem to up charge everything 🤷♂️
😊can’t wait to see more
Do you guys have a minimum amount of miles that you want to do a day that way you keep on track?
At the beginning we’re trying to do 15 or a little above. Soon enough those will turn into 20+ mile days. That way we can finish by the end of September and still enjoy our zero days in town.
Is this real time? Start in May? Hot time for the desert. Safe travels from Australia.
Where r u guys from? I am in SoCal and recreate a lot in the San Jacinto, San Bernardino and San Gabriel Mountains. The Garner Valley is coming up for you guys. It has the old O'Leary LSD Ranch now owned by Logan Paul and run by his dad, Greg. Also they filmed a buncha westerns in the valley. I call it Little Jackson Hole.
We’re from Phoenix. We actually just passed by Garner Valley going to and from Idyllwild from PVC. A local also mentioned westerns being shot there. Gorgeous area!
@@justinhitsthetrail5225 Thats great. Since the trail south to north is on the ridgeline east and above the valley most do not go down into Garner but pct was closed through this area at Fobes Ranch for several years due to burn areas so during that time all PCTers were forced into the valley where most hitchhiked up to Idyllwild. P.s. there are supposed to be no bears left in the San Jacinto Mts.
Nice video...well edited and such. Vid quality lacking a bit I feel like
Thanks! Doing everything on my iPhone. At least it’s 4k 🤷♂️
Looks like you guys have the Tarptent Dipole Li. How is it working out for you?
It was a pain to set up at first but we’re getting better at it. Love it though! Very spacious. When it’s fully guyed out it does well in windy conditions.
What was your start date? Leaving in a few days and trying to get a bearing on the water situation out there.
April 21. There will be some big stretches without water. We’ve had to decide a couple times if we want to dry camp and pack out a bunch of water, or hike an extra 5+ miles that day to get to the next source.
@@justinhitsthetrail5225 Thanks.
$40 for 2 days of provisions. What the heck are y'all eating?
Misspoke in the video. 3 days for 2 people. $7 per person per day. We’ve paid more than that already though. These little towns along the way upcharge everything.
Congrats! Trail Name: CHEF 😂😂😂
Haha I’ll recommend it!
