It also depends on the type of cheese you’re using. Some cheeses melt better than other and an issue we have here in the US. Is that a lot of prepackaged cheese that you don’t buy in a block is coded with powder in order to keep the shreds or whatever from really clumping together a lot and that prevent sauce emulsification as well
If the donuts are chewy, you kneaded the dough too much. What makes them chewy is the gluten developing, and the more you knead, the more it does that!

The pine cones were supposed to go in the freezer or fridge to firm up, no baking required😁 Also, I'm almost positive the cookies she used were filled with a chocolate frosting (similar to an oreo) and sandwiched between 2 chocolate cookies, which is why i think she ended up with more dough than you did. I have been making the same """2 ingredient""" donut recipe for years. Instead of doing a glaze, I personally mix regular white caster sugar and ground cinnamon, then roll the donuts around in that. It's kind of like soft cinnamon pretzels, and I find caster sugar and ground cinnamon to be better cupboard staples than powdered sugar or butter. I also do it by getting a ball of dough passing it between two spoons to even it out a bit, then drop it into the oil still as a ball. It's then even easier to prep than if I had to roll out the dough, use a mould, etc. They do not hold very well over long periods of time, but if you are having a party and want some easy, homemade finger food, they are AMAZING. The only issue I have is that I can't make it too often because I absolutely always eat through an entire batch in one or two days. I do agree that they do not really resemble donuts, though.
I’m from New Zealand and I gotta say that TimTams are the best cookies ever. The best way to eat them is a TimTam slam, where you bite off each end of the biscuit (thats what we call cookies here), and then use it as a straw in a drink of hot chocolate. You gotta try it, its soooo good 🖤

Naomi, with the 2c self raising and 1c greek yoghurt you can make pizza base or pizza pockets, aswel as a budget type of naan bread and so many more things. It's the best!
My absolute fav childhood cookies (I'm also from Germany) are soft cake✨ they have like orange jelly filling, but I do really love Nutella Biskuits as well 🤤
The oreo sushi thing looked absolutely horrific, but there is a version of that oreo treat that makes it a bit better. If I remember right, you separate the cream and the oreo, blend the oreo cookie and put the cream into a bowl with cream cheese. Then you mix the cream cheese into the blended oreo and make little balls of this sticky dough that you throw into the fridge to firm up a bit. Then, you do a double boiler thing to melt chocolate and roll the dough balls into the chocolate. After that, they go back in the fridge to cool and set and you're done. It is kinda sticky, so not advised if you don't like that texture, but if using white chocolate it seems to balance the flavor out a bit since it is very rich as is. I have done it with the original oreos, but mint oreos are also good to make it with. It is probably a similar or the same test as that oreo sushi, but the presentation is far more palatable lol.

Then, you do a double boiler thing to melt chocolate and roll the dough balls into the chocolate. After that, they go back in the fridge to cool and set and you're done.
It is kinda sticky, so not advised if you don't like that texture, but if using white chocolate it seems to balance the flavor out a bit since it is very rich as is. I have done it with the original oreos, but mint oreos are also good to make it with. It is probably a similar or the same test as that oreo sushi, but the presentation is far more palatable lol.
