I love my ginger Maine coon boy… my back aches if I hold him for too long, but he’s so silly and loving. He’s twice the size of other cats down the street but he hides from all of them 😂

Size varies! I once had a show female that weighed in at 8 pounds, fully grown. And, she won her share of ribbons!
Oh what a tiddler she must have been. Our lightest is Rosie at 13.2 lbs and heaviest is Fred at 26 lbs ❤
Funny enough, I knew a Maine Coon looking cat way back, everyone called her Gypsy because she simply slinked off wherever she wanted to go. Very nice cat though, very playful and nice cat (which is surprising, given that my first introduction to cats was my dad's Himmylayan-mix who was so mean and aggressive that he would put Rottweilers to the veterinarian's office just because) that loved everyone that didn't shoo her away. The funny thing is, I wanted to keep her... but got shot down.

I'm getting my 2 Maine Coons Friday 3rd of June(sorry I'm from London, regarding how I write my dates guys)lol. Garfield and Ashar, they will be from the same Litter too! Just had my 1st visit, want to make a 2nd visit before that date. I'm looking forward to having these Boyz, I've got a whole lot of luv to give😘🥰🤗

My first breeder’s starting price is $2000. My second breeder’s price range from $2200-$3500 in US.
That equates to £1500 for your first breeder and £1700 to £2700 for your 2nd. It's incredible isn't it

I have red haired little lady named Stella. She absolutely talks a lot. Love her to death though. They're a ton of fun with soft silky fur.

@@lynncunningham829 Have you tried Kaiju Maine Coon Cattery (www.kaijucoons.com/ or facebook.com/kaijucoons/) They are a small home breeder in Clarksville, are registered with the CFA and TICA, and screen their cats for genetic conditions.
Very informative video. I'd love one, but I've not seen a Main Coon kitten priced under $1500 in the US & most breeders who post prices are asking over $2000.
I know - they can be expensive. In the UK they are between £650 and £1200, so $900 to $1700. No matter how much you pay, make sure you get proof that a kitten is registered and health screened. Good luck.
$2500. is what my cat’s breeder is asking for kittens now and if they are smoke she’s asking &3000.
Scams have become a real problem especially concerning Maine Coons. My breeder has had her photos stolen more than once by a scammer, be careful, Meet the breeder and your kitten before handing over any money!
@@kathyhague1867 Thanks. Is that high pricing a new development due to pandemic demand? In other words, were they $1000-1500 fairly recently & do you predict they might get back to that level in a year or two?
@@detomaso_6235 unfortunately some will take advantage of people’s desperation to get a kitten and because there are people who will pay, they get away with charging these extortionate prices. Such a shame.

How do you measure there length and height ? From what point to what point ?
You guys are great and i hope 2021 is treating you guys well so far. Now here in Minnesota they are opening restaurants to in door 50% and opening up schools again. I think its a bad idea, the rise in deaths from covid is still rising.
Hi Debra, Glad you like it - took bloomin' ages to make! We measure from the base of the neck to the floor for height and we measure nose to neck, then neck to tail base, and then tail all separately and add them up for length. 2021 has been good so far though we're in total lockdown so no going out to restaurants for us! Stay safe :-)

I will mayby get a Main Coon but i live in norway but do you know if a breeder lives near norway tell me if you know cuz i want one so bad
Hi Ella, I always look on TICA.org but they don't have any breeders in Norway registered. You might have to import in which case, look at the countries nearest to your area of Norway so that your can drive and collect or use a courier service. See if you can find breeders through a Google search and then do lots of research to find reviews, Facebook pages, and recommendations. Two of our cats were born in Hungary and were flown to a breeder in the UK. Sorry I can't be of more help. Let me know how you get on. Hi Diane, Have a look through our other videos to see lots of footage of our four :-) You're unlikely to see Maine Coons wandering about as most people keep them indoors or don't let them roam free. You'll find breeders by searching online just follow our guide in this video. And there are lots of Facebook groups full of beautiful photos. Best wishes, Jane.

I have a blue eyed, white mane and giant two anf half yeay old maine coon. This highest scratch mark at the moment is at 44 inches,
Stretches just over 4 feet, name Tsavo,
They sound amazing. One of our 4, Fred, is tall but I haven't measured him stretching up something. I'll have to try. I'm just making a video of him actually laying with his dad and he's 39 inches without being stretched. I'll post it tomorrow afternoon at about 4pm GMT - look out for it! Tsavo is a brilliant name ❤

If you have time, can you check out the latest video on my channel and tell me if you think I have a maine coon? I know shes not purebred. Her mom and all the kittens have the ear tufts. My kitten has all the fluffy fur, tail, sounds and mannerisms of a main coon you described in your other video. The other kittens of the litter have tufts, but look more like tabbys. This is a stray I've been feeding for about 8 months before I took her in. If you have time, take a look please. If not, no big deal. love your vids!
Hi scrapironfish, What a beauty and how lovely that you have taken her in. She does look like a Maine Coon and, like you say, probably a mix. Her coat looks like black/silver classic tabby. Her voice, tail, coat length, ears and eyes are like our Maine Coons kittens'. As she stretches up to the camera with her paws they look chunky like a Maine Coon's. The only difference is her muzzle length and width but that might grow as she gets older. What a sweety she is. Best wishes, Jane.
@@MaineCoonDaily Thank you so much for taking the time to look at her. I also noticed her muzzle was small. Her mother has quite a small head, her body is small too. Not sure who the father was. Her mom is also a basic tabby, but has the tufts on the tips of her ears although you have to look close to see it.

@@fritterfoof5146 thanks dear but I don't have $3,000 I don't even have 5,000 not right now I don't I'd have to play the lottery for that and the type of cat I'd like to have is a domestic long hair I had one once her name was Lulu she was something she was a bluish gray with a dark gray nose and the prettiest golden eyes I've ever seen she is my heart still is even after she's passed away she passed away July the 12th 2020 and I miss my baby girl she'll always be Mama's angel
