- Emily makes her way to the Beehive factory to watch Robert and Mari Caruana during the production of the traditional local festa treat, qubbajt. Robert gives as an insight on the history and explains the recipe and method of both the hard and soft nougat.

An excellent traditional product in varied form and taste. These are the brave people who made Malta what it was with its "personality"'. Unfortunately Malta is being taken over by the large Supermarkets and the small local family shop is finding it difficult to keep existing. The modern building is changing our old ways. One hopes that people like Peter and Mari. Emily we really enjoyed this video it was really nice. My wife says she really misses the traditional Maltese nougat. I wish you would have left a link to his website on your TH-cam video. Hi I had this neighbour who was from Malta. Use to bring this big bucket back from Malta. Full off kinda soft nougat very sweet. Any ideas what this could have been. Was the best sweet I've tasted
Pretty sure he would spoon it out into a bowl for us
