I knew a girl who had family from Malta and her last name was Agius.. when I visited Malta, I saw that name everywhere! Its a really common surname there. Malta is an incredible and beautiful place. Their main export I think is tomatoes, they hang them in bags and fldry them in the sun to concentrate them to produce "Conserva" which is HYPER concentrate tomato paste, its absolutely incredible. The figs there are also amazing.. I haven't been for 10 years.. I miss the place, I'd love to return. They also have really unique pastries there which they eat for lunch called Pastizzi - filo pastry, cheese and peas. Its a unique culture, wonderful food and such an overlooked tiny island.
