Hi guys a nice video, Salt water goes directly into your motor ? Is there No heat exchanger ?

Yes, that's correct Paul! Our Bukh is raw water cooled, so the water pulled from the ocean gets pumped directly into the block, no heat exchanger. There are pros and cons to this, the biggest con being saltwater inside the iron engine block. We've had good luck with it so far. Up until last year, Seawind was a freshwater boat. So no saltwater for the first 42 years of her life! Hopefully that means we have lots of life left in this old but reliable engine 😊

You may want to consider using a cloud back-up solution, such as Carbonite.

That would be ideal but with an internet connection that is always changing as we move, the reliability of uploading and downloading large files from a cloud is very poor. Maybe Starlink will change that for us! We're planning the upgrade soon. Excited to see how "high speed" the satellite internet is!

The bottom was clean at the haul out. That was surprising. Did you clean it recently before the haul out?

No actually we were both surprised at how clean it was!
