Replanting of Wooden Boxes Big Tree Study Group

The Big Tree Study Group replanted a crate.
EIKAN (height 90cm, trunk 75cm) was raised in the open air 7 years ago and has been cultivated in a wooden box. 7 years of cultivation has grown roots and the wooden box is damaged, so it will be repotted in a ceramic pot after rooting.

When you add the moss to the surface of the repotted tree, do you usually shred it before or just leave it as it is? Also, is the type of moss used yamagoke or sphagnum moss? Thanks.

Once the sphagnum moss is moistened with water, I do not shorten it and leave it in place. We use cheap sphagnum moss, so it is short from the beginning. The type of moss is sphagnum moss.
