    I just bought the raptor and it's hands down the best camera I've ever used. So amazing.

      I have a Sony A1 & absolutely suck with it. I’m a lot better than when I started with it though (first camera)
      How overwhelming would a V Raptor be?
      Budget is not the concern
      Have a fully spec M1 Ultra Mac Studio & Nano Texture Studio display

    Thanks for the video! I want to buy a Komodo X or a used Monstro mostly for narrative. Which one would you recommend?

    The image out of it looks amazing. I have yet to shoot on a Red, since I am starting to grow my projects, I'll eventually get there (hopefully). Thanks for the insight on these cameras and the workflow around them ✌️

    My Mac Studio ultra plays back 8k. Red footage like butter.
    By the way you kept saying how noisy the images from the raptor… Really makes me uninterested.

      I said old Reds were noisy. The raptor wasn’t at all.

    Dont forget - its two (2) sensors glued together and the connection line is visible in some cases. I dont understand why some people on TH-cam dont mention it.

      I would suggest that you learn the A1 until you mastered it first. Using a cine cam wont make your work better unless you learn settings, lighting, and composition. Hope this helps!

  • @acedia4453
    @acedia4453 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You need a variety of quality glass with this. Using the same lens for every shot makes the entire image seem flat and it gets that video look. It doesn't matter what you can see through the lens, its all about the pull points each individual lens has that separates objects in view for that film feel.

    • @TimeKillersAddendum
      @TimeKillersAddendum 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Can you elaborate on this? 1917 was filmed mostly on a 40mm.

    • @acedia4453
      @acedia4453 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TimeKillersAddendum Zero chance that Roger Deakins would ever shoot on just one lens, especially on something like the Alexa LF. I guarantee you it took a series of quality prime lenses to place that picture together. 40mm would have been garbage for wide shots on the Alexa LF and same goes for quality close ups. You need to track down a quality directors view finder, or at least an app on your phone to get started on how framing dictates what lens will be used.

    • @NebulousFilms
      @NebulousFilms 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Rukiasriot1 for sure! The price point is amazing. I feel like the Raptors look is more like the top end of a clean high quality image whereas the ursa promotes more of a creative look. But the ursa with the smaller s35 sensor and 12k resolution is very unforgiving on less sharp lenses if you want the full 12k. I would surely go for the ursa personally but the raptor puts up a really good performance aswell
