The Plothole Show Would you believe that while listening, I was scrolling down and I see this comment at the same time it appeared in the video? 🤣🤣🤣 Oh man! Now what are the odds of that!?
Mary and Bert wed young, hoping to start a family. After unsuccessfully trying for 4 long years, Mary finally conceived a baby. Around 7 months into the pregnancy, after the nursery had been prepared and they had chosen a name for their son-to-be (Harold), Mary tragically lost the baby. Bert immersed himself in his work as a chimney sweep to avoid his sorrow. Mary never quite got over the loss, and decided that in becoming a travelling nanny, she would never truly be without child. Though they parted ways, they still sometimes share a lingering glance, and perchance, a dance.
As magical as this all sounds, I really did meet a 6 year old who would secretly eat a spoon full of sugar atleast once a day. She also drove her family crazy lol
"What did I tell ya? There's the whole world at your feet. And who gets to see it but the birds, the stars, and the chimney sweeps." *Sigh* I love Mary Poppins
Dame Julie Andrews had one of the if not the most beautiful, refined voices i've ever heard. There are and were a lot of talented and decorated singers, no doubt. But hearing her sing brings me to tears almost every time.
Hey, Pogo! I just want to give a huge thank you! You've brought a lot of life back to my childhood memories. Unironically cry a little when I see your mixes❤️ ❤️Keep doing you❤️
You know, most remixes like these tend to be catchy or memorable. But yours always feel very unique. They have a magical quality to them I can't quite explain.
There needs to be an extended version with more of Mary Poppins part, maybe it could fade away when thw song ends. God what a beautiful, comforting voice that reminds me of the importance of togetherness and family, and overall unconditional love.
The whistling is just amazing. Along with mary poppins sticking her head in the bag and finding the cake but not the flock of doves. "where is flock of doves for the marriage ceremony next week *takes head out of bag* BILLY!"
Thank you so much for compiling this beautiful piece. I know it sounds weird, but when the kids started singing and especially when Bert started singing, I wept. My family didn't own many movies due to lack of money, so we watched what we did own many times over. Mary Poppins was one of those we watched a few times per month. It was a really important part of my life, and listening to this brought back that happy, nostalgic feeling it gave me. Thank you.
This film always reminded me of the relationship between me and my dad. He was always working and we got very little time together when I look back. One of my fondest memories, though, is a spontaneous day-trip we did to London, where we just wandered and took in everything that London is: a place of magical wonder for a northern kid. The way that Mr Banks' relationship with his children is saved hits a lot closer to home than it used to, though, since I lost him suddenly six years ago. We never got to get that kite-flying moment, mainly from his work and me being an angsty teen. I can't describe how or why, but this helps me to relive some of those unforgettable moments I had with my dad. They were fleeting, like going to London for a day, but I will always cherish them. Pogo, you have my heartfelt thanks for being an incredible musician and for helping me to reminisce.
I just noticed today that Julie Andrews is so beautiful... her face is gorgeous... how did i never notice this b4... this whole 38 years of watching mary poppins and i just noticed hoe unbelievably stunningly beautiful Julie Andrews is... she never had relied upon her looks... which is incredible... she could have most definitely relied on her beauty to make money but she never has... 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 it gives me hope for these young women... it breaks my heart when gorgeous women destroy their faces... if only they could take lessons from Julie Andrews or Judy Garland and invested their time into having talents and developing gifts... God this is a sign for me that there are talented amazing women out there that arent selling their beauty or face... thank you God... truly thank you so much😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
My Mum saw Snow white in the Cinema when she was little way back in the 1950's. she absolutely adores Wishery as much as me. Seeing this brand new remix brings JOY to my heart. I am totally in love with your work and you! great dance moves!
@Artist 4 Christ that one doenst feel like the vibe i was looking for when searching for a pogo remix of that movie i was hoping for something a little different maybe with samples taken from the snatcher and with the core being the noise the car makes as it drives along with some kind of deep base sounds bouncing along with it
You are amazing. You not only capture fantastic sound, you capture the emotion of the event. You have a very rare skill. I love it, and I love your work. Please never, ever stop!!! :) xx
Been down in the dumps lately and I came back to your channel somehow. Your remixes have lightened my spirits for this night at least, just like they did months back. I do absolutely love your music and I hope you have been doing well.
Perhaps your best yet! Impressive mixing of not only tiny sound "moments" (which we've seen you do through out) but many more complete sound bites (like Jane and Michael's letter and when the soldiers are marching) and newly created realistic (if not absurd) dialogue about taking medicine at 6:01. And a beautiful bonus in turning "I does what I likes" into major key! And love what you did with the bird's sound :^)
1:002:20 The orchestration and mixing is amazing. it’s a lovely sound that I don’t usually hear but wow do I wanna hear more. I love this song harmonically and also rhythmically because the beat is so inviting to dance to. You a genius pogo
Nick this is absolutely magical! I love this so much and I get goosebumps everytime I listen to it!! You are such an inspiration to me, the way you don't mold yourself to the trends or what others are doing, but you totally create your own thing, it is truly refreshing and inspiring to me as an artist. As Bert may say, "You does what you likes and you likes what you do" and you are incredibly good at it! Keep doing what you do!! Much respect!
This was enchanting... The music you made out of this movie is beautiful... It is so soothing, blissful, innocent and brilliant... Words don't do justice...
What I Likes by Pogo (along with other Pogo greats) got me through a tough time in my personal life by making me both happy and energetic. Thank you very much. Pogo and associates have accomplished an art form to be marveled. Cheers!
No I agree, its a beautiful tune. I find it emotional with the footage of the film playing, especially around 2:13 when Mary Poppins has to leave Michael and Jane
"You must take medicine at Six-Oh-One, Ah-haha-HA-ha-ha!" So, Mary just escaped a Mental institution? Oh my, this changes the implications of the musical horribly.
I still come back to this song man… Started listening to your music around middle school and this one and Bangarang are still the most influential to me, almost 10 years later.
Ship Mary and Bert. sadly we didn't get to see the two get together, but pull that aside it's a very good movie. And I love in the movie when they( the cleaners) dance on the roof.
"I does wha' I likes an' I likes...whaht I doo..." Pogo does the best job at finding the very best sample and doing the most amazing things with it. A lot of people have suggested that there is a certain surreal quality in his music, and it should be apparent to anyone with working eardrums, I think. Everything bad completely melts away when you listen to one of these magical tracks.
this left me in tears, once again reminding me how much pogo means to me. No one else makes this kind of music. No one else has the patience and brain like Nick Bertke.
Bro this song always sends me back 8 years into my childhood when me my sis and grandma would watch this and my sister would sing all the songs (nobody’s dead dont worry it just brings back good memories)
I love hearing elements of certain sounds appear again and again in several of your songs. You can hear your thoughts, and your different interpretations of a single sound, so amazing. Like one clip will sound completely different in 2 different songs. It is like going on a hunt to find sounds you use in different songs
I love your music. Your Bangarang and Marry Poppins songs are among my favourites. They're two of my favourite childhood movies. I remember watching mary poppins over and over and over and over again so I could learn the rooftop dance. Whenever I am in a down place I watch Hook or Mary Poppins to help cheer me up, and your music extends that. Thanks so much
I feel like pogo puts in the laughs when he does something you don't expect him to do. One when you expect the sample to loop at the beginning, and one when he makes the sentence "You must take medicine at 6:01." Subtle showing off
"I does what I likes, and I like what I do." - Words to live by.
The Plothole Show Would you believe that while listening, I was scrolling down and I see this comment at the same time it appeared in the video? 🤣🤣🤣 Oh man! Now what are the odds of that!?
..."and I likes what I does."
Thank you, most interesting
What if what I like to do is illegal and generally frowned upon by most rational people
@@WatchfulEyeArt you can still like what you're doing but most people won't like you.
I always felt Bert and Mary was a sad love story. There's something there between them, but they don't end up together.
I AGREE SO MUCH WITH YOU !
Bert baby sitted Mary when he was a lil boy
How do you know what happens backstage? But honestly though, totally agree.
She got her sight back, then suddenly the ugliest man in Glasgow wasn't good enough for her.

Julie’s voice was so beautiful, literally every word she had said could be used as a note

This mix is amazing: nostalgic, inventive, and oh so addictive!
I've listened to it too many times maybe 100 times and my dog howls with it and I have “i does what I likes and likes what I do” stuck in my head
I agree
"You must take medicine at six o' one."
Okay, but only if I get that spoon full of sugar.
Kosuke Okada i'll do it a 6 just for the savagery
"ahhh ha hah ha ha!"
take those pills, at six o' one.
Lol yee
As magical as this all sounds, I really did meet a 6 year old who would secretly eat a spoon full of sugar atleast once a day. She also drove her family crazy lol
One does not simply watch one Pogo video.
it's true.
avatar guy!
For real though, its so hard to not watch several in a row. Trying to study to them is great unless you watch the video for 0.3 seconds.
This is true.
I'm in
her laugh in to the bag kills me.
Same :)
It’s like she’s saying “gotcha” to the boy for looking under the bag.
I agree
That little "Ahahahahaha!" always gets me for some reason. Perfectly timed and catchy.
"What did I tell ya? There's the whole world at your feet. And who gets to see it but the birds, the stars, and the chimney sweeps."
*Sigh* I love Mary Poppins

She is a treasure. Beautiful and supremely talented. She wasn't corrupted like many were.
Hey, Pogo! I just want to give a huge thank you! You've brought a lot of life back to my childhood memories. Unironically cry a little when I see your mixes❤️
❤️Keep doing you❤️
Same here. Happy tears.
I saw these movies when I was a kid. I'm 53 now.
POGO is an absolute genius.
0:27-1:17 something about the orchestral chops makes me feel warm and comfy inside. ♥
At first I thought it was weird... But now they're one of my fav parts of the songs
For real, definitely my favourite part too.
That part is sick as hell
2:37 these sounds are sooo beautiful. Hopefully I can find those sounds in the movie if I watch it again.
Hey, you can’t just remix an entire movie!!
Pogo: “I does what I likes, and I like what I do”
Haven't come back to this piece for a while; glad I did. I needed it.
This makes me feel nostalgic.
It reminds me of the 2000's for some reason.
You know, most remixes like these tend to be catchy or memorable. But yours always feel very unique. They have a magical quality to them I can't quite explain.
Я никогда не забаву Truly
They are made with true passion so it ends up being a masterpiece of style
It's like he captured the most sincere parts of the film and made it into a music video. I love it.
Those "Ahhahahahahaha!" bits had me grinning and giggling x'D The timing is too perfect.
There needs to be an extended version with more of Mary Poppins part, maybe it could fade away when thw song ends. God what a beautiful, comforting voice that reminds me of the importance of togetherness and family, and overall unconditional love.
+Pogo do you have a link to it?
+Pogo Make This One 10 Hours
I would want to check that out as well.
Check Goldpikpikcarrot's channel for the version Pogo's probably talking about.
Not seeing it. Maybe I'm blind. Some other nice ones though, so thanks!
The whistling is just amazing. Along with mary poppins sticking her head in the bag and finding the cake but not the flock of doves.

Aged like curdled milk
0:32 the bridge comes out of nowhere i think I've found the chords that give me THAT feeling, hopefully someone knows what I mean
i know exactly
Who else are listening to this in 2021 ?? I still love these xx
You are amazing. You not only capture fantastic sound, you capture the emotion of the event. You have a very rare skill. I love it, and I love your work.

This music and video is pure magic. It gives me such a warm, beautiful feeling❤

You have a good ear for music!
Pogo, you bring me a lot of happiness. Keep doing what you're doing.
Mary Poppins is one of my favorite movies ❤️
Talk about time.. I attempted one of this videos myself.. um I'm a little unequipped. This must have taken forever so I applaud you, it's incredible.

I keep coming back for this one, I'm hooked.

Wow. Just so much talent. Thank you for this one. Bloom and Upular are already two of my faves; this one is right up there!
Pogo has such calming music and it pleases my ears so much thank you Pogo!
0:28 - 0:31 That part almost sounds like from "I Wish It Would Rain" by the Temptations.

The first half of the song could be Bert and Mary’s love theme.
Oh my goodness, this was absolutely perfect with whipped cream on top. Bravo. You stirred some old feelings in me that I forgot I had. God bless you.
The "i does what i like and i likes what i do" sums up what you do perfectly :)
you did an excellent job for this one. try some of the newer movies like Wreck it Ralph or Lego Movie. thanks for such wonderful music!

i'd really love a lego movie remix and a bambi remix!
