There are levels to accents. From strong to weak. Maybe you’re used to stronger Jamaican accents. He has an accent. But it’s not strong. Living in america since 86 plus with the kind of work he does, he has most likely had to practice speaking in a way that most english speakers understand for most of his life now. Consider also that nonwestern(Black/ African) accents are generally not considered desirable in the west.
