I've been playing mandolin since a year ago and your tutorals are the best ! No endless speeches,no b»»»sh»»»»»g,everything is clear and easy to understand, besides that, your picking technic is
I'm a guitar player and I bought a mandolin as a side intrument because of its size and use on european folk music. So far your tabs been by far the most helpful
This is really excellent, a really nice version and the tab/instructions are really clear and easy to follow. I've enjoyed working on it over Christmas, but I'm nowhere near up to full speed. By my reckoning the accompaniment is as follows: Part A & B (both the same) Em on bars 1,2,3,5 & 6 D on bars 4 & 8 C on bar 7 Part C Em on bars 1, 2, 5 & 6 C on bar 3 D on bars 4 & 8 Bm on bar 7 Part D Em on bars 1, 2, 3, 5 & 6 D on 4 & 8 Bm on 7
Your original lesson for this song was the first thing I ever learned how to play on Mandolin; it's interesting to see a new take on it. Also, this sounds absolutely incredible with the rhythm playing chords behind it.
@Jake Hardy basically the same for me but with the song Swallowtail Jig!! And yes, I also am liking it when he does the mandolin rhythm in the same video 👍🏻😁 Thank you @Tergal14 !!
Have loved this tune since I saw the video of Frankie Gavin and co playing it many years ago. Now I think, with your help I might be able to learn it myself. Just love the C and D parts!
Great lesson and I really like that you included versions with and without the triplets. I'm going to start learning the triplets version. Your video was posted more than a year ago so you may have already taken care of this, but it sounds like one or both of the E string slots in the nut need to be worked a bit. There's a distinct sharp buzz when you play the open E course that's not there when you play any of the fretted notes on the E course. That sound often comes from the bottom of the slot being flat or sloped slightly toward the fretboard. It's an easy fix.
Great tune, great performance, great lesson! High quality video and audio. Love the added rhythm backing! Now I can finally learn the D part to this tune, lol. Thanks so much for your hard work.

and soon your guitar will be the side instrument.
Beautiful.
Don't suppose you'd be able to post the rhythm section tab/chords too?
Thank you so much

Beautiful playing and clear instruction. Thank you for taking the time to do this.
Now this is a great lesson video.
Great lesson! I'd really appreciate the addition of upstrokes/downstrokes as I'm having trouble working that part out. Thanks!
Thanks for this lesson !
Well done! Thanks.

My E has the same buzz on the open string. How do I go about fixing that
I really like how this video shows the rhythm & the melody (I'm trying to figure out what chords are being played) Thank You!! 👍🏻😁
Yeah I wasn’t too sure either. Be interested to find out. I hate playing chords on mandolin.
@@Rockmonanov I dont mind it, but then again I dont play the full 4 finger chords - I just do the 2 & 3 finger partial chords....
Em-D-Bm-C
I will try this. Sir put also easy lesson like this with tab

Is it possible to get a print out of the tab you have on here?
Which tune to play this kind of music?!
Sir ! For this music which book do I purchase ? I am in Chicago.
Wow merci ! Cette jig est excellente :)
M'en vais écrire la tablature de ce pas.
Thanks for this great lesson! It appears you are using fairly heavy strings? Beautiful Collings as well....
Are you doing the triplet strokes DUD or UDU?
Not sure why, but I found this so much harder to learn that Morrison's even though they are so similar.
Tab please.👌👌
Thanks so much for this. Quick question, do you have the sheet music to this other than the tab?
You’ve no doubt been asked many times before, but are you willing to say what plectrums you now use (and/or would recommend)?
hello. What chords are played in the rhythm part?
Please what is the tuning mandoline no es GDAE porque no suena
Anyone got a breakdown of chords for this?
Any chance you can include the rhythm part?
This mandolin is tuning GDAE ?
👏🙌🙏👍
What hardness of pick do you use for such a bright sound? Also what sort of strings do you use?
