I got mine free through my insurance on 10-15-2021. It listed as $50.00 in my ordering catalog that I can order just about any health related. Vitamins, teeth, allergy, variety of pain helpers. Ice packs, hot pack, cold pack, pain patches, knee brace, vaporizer etc!
@@FitnessWithFrost still didn't decide which one I should buy 😔 this one or Fitbit charge 5 🤔 this one, I think should fit my gym regime better, really don't know 🤯😁
@@FitnessWithFrost hmm.. i was gonna get the fitbit flex but so many bad reviews, Garmin has very good reviews, and size is great, im gonna have to pull the trigger on something soon before i lose my mind though 😅
Love that you threw in the whoop comparisons. I wore whoop for 3 years, and I always wonder how these alternatives stack up. Btw your whoop seems jacked up. Sleep stages showing all time slept in light?
Vivosmart 4 not syncing on its own. I have to manually sync it everytime. Had the Vivosport before this and it did NOT sync on it's own, either. Instructions on internet are not consistent. The names of devices are used interchangeably in the how-to's and I don't know why Garmin leaves something like this to a manual solution by default. This is my 2nd and LAST Garmin watch.
Yeah some of their watches and bands are manually updated. My assumption is a savings of battery, but I'm not too sure. The fixed it with the Vivosmart 5
They are both great Apps. Fitbit is more simple, but it gets points taken off due to some functionality kept behind a pay wall. Due to that I would say I like the Garmin App more
Both do a really good job, but with Whoop's algorithm it does work better with other things in your life to calculate your recovery including stress. But if you already have a Garmin I would look to also get a Whoop as well. Hopefully that is helpful
Can I ask what is the point or reason for using the gps. Like is it so you can see where you have been. Because you should know since you were the one running it. I haven’t used the gps, and yet my app records time , distance , step, calories burned. So can anyone enlighten me as to why people use the gps.
I mean there are a couple reason. Primarily it is used to get a good idea of the pase you are on for your run or bike. It's good to know your pace so you know where you can push and pull back and it's great for training as well. Built in GPS is typically more accurate than tethering to your phone. Some also like to keep their phones off them and you can do that with a built in GPS. Hopefully that helped clarify a bit
@@FitnessWithFrost For the pace I understand especially for serious athletes . But I truly believe most people just like to see a visual map of their progress. I don’t really need that, my wife likes to pull it up and show me all the time, and Iam like I know babe I was right there with you. 😂🤷🏽♂️
Lol I know what you mean by that. I wouldn't just say it was for serious athletes. Just anyone who is looking to get better at running can use pacing as a great tool
Hey, I’m trying to pick between this and the Fitbit Luxe, I need it to track swimming. Which one would recommend? Which one has the most swimming metrics tracking? Thank you
They both have pretty much the same metrics with pool lengths and pace. So the functionality is pretty much the same, but the Luxe has a much bigger screen to see you pace at a glance. Hopefully that is helpful
@@FitnessWithFrost In Connect there are workouts (yoga, Pilates, strength ...). my question is if those sessions (which are customizable or that I can create) can be pushed to v4. as it happens with venu and other Garmin smartwatches.
@@FitnessWithFrost Thank you very much for the information! From what I see, neither type of workout can be pushed to v4. I'm about to buy it and wish I could see someone use Connect workouts in v4. Thank you 👌
This video is a liiitttle miss leading because "LIVE Track" is not compatible with the Vivosmart 4. I just got off the phone with a Garmin support rep.
That's on me. I was meaning to get back to your previous comment, but I haven't done the research yet. Sorry about that, I make sure to continue to get better
Can you make a video of how to get the sleep tracker to work, I cant figure it out and I think I have everything on. It's a butt pain. And I been to sleep for 2 days and doesnt track it
To be honest the prices of some of these apple watches are crazy. But I have a android phone so they are out of the question. I'm looking at a Fitbit sense advanced health priced at $250. Having a built in ECG is a plus but there is a $9.99 monthly fee to use this feature. Due you have any thoughts on this device? I appreciate your help, thank ypu.
I haven't gotten my hands on it yet but I do hear it is a great band. I would also implore you to take a look at the Charge 5 as it will also have ECG and its a little smaller and cheaper as well. I think you will be happy with either or
I just ordered one of these off my health insurance' otc benefits site to act as a backup to my apple watch, that and I hate not having something on the other wrist at the same time ^^;

That's pretty awesome! I'm always glad to hear when insurance works on more preventative measures
My insurance offered it too first line catalog but it’s like $130
That is a bit expensive for a band like this. Are they covering it?
@@FitnessWithFrost yes they give me $ 205 twice a month but I wouldn’t waste my money on buying that for 130 I have Fitbit that works fine
What fitbit do you have?
Great review, I'll buy this band based on your review, thanks 👍
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Good luck with your new band!
@@FitnessWithFrost still didn't decide which one I should buy 😔 this one or Fitbit charge 5 🤔 this one, I think should fit my gym regime better, really don't know 🤯😁
I'm a bigger fan of the Charge 5 as it does more, but it more expensive. If you want the bigger screen also go with the fitbit
Im buying it just because of the size, I don't like how big the Whoop and Fitbit charge is
Check out the Fitbit Luxe?
@@FitnessWithFrost hmm.. i was gonna get the fitbit flex but so many bad reviews, Garmin has very good reviews, and size is great, im gonna have to pull the trigger on something soon before i lose my mind though 😅
Garmin is a really solid choice. The only reason to go to Samsung would be for it's smart watch features
Love that you threw in the whoop comparisons. I wore whoop for 3 years, and I always wonder how these alternatives stack up. Btw your whoop seems jacked up. Sleep stages showing all time slept in light?
Yeah I had to talk to Whoop about that. My sleep changed up since having a baby so they fixed it on their end
Would you recommend this for cardio home workouts (to track calories burnt and HR)?
Yes I believe this will work great for that work case
I currently have a FitBit. It has kickboxing on it, what about vivosmart 4?
Which is best Garmin Vivosmart 4 or Fitbit inspire 2?
That comes a little down to preference. My choice would be the Inspire 2 if it were between the two
How do I access the live tracker on my garmin app. I do not see that feature.
Can you have the screen turned off by default? I usually wear a watch and it would look funny having “2 watches” at the same time. Thanks.
You can put the display to sleep if needed. Hopefully that is helpful
is it a good buy in 2022? I am willing to buy one for my wife.
Still a very decent buy. Not the craziest band and if you're looking for something a little fancier going with the Fitbit Luxe is also nice
Awesome review. Is the app required or can you use it by itself?
I do believe you do need the app to set up the device, but you wouldn't need to have your phone on you to track your workout
