I'm a Reds fan & I love watching Aaron Boone! I'll never forget that he was the only major leaguer who was ejected during his first ever game in the major leagues.
He was? I didn’t know that! That’s impressive and hilarious knowing that after all these ejections as manager.
He wasn’t the only one, in fact he’s far from the only one. In fact there have been two other players to be ejected from their debut game since Boone, which were John Lannan in 2007 and Kyle Weiland in 2011.
And fellow Yankees fans beg for him to be fired .. I’ll never get it

@djstyles97 Actually, when a catcher sets up on one side of the plate but has to reach across to the other, it's often called a ball, whether it's in the zone or not.
@wdaniel891 then how about loose it on those other calls. lol they have instant replay or could have called there replay team quick. dont loose it over some bob ross paint on the outside

I love Aaron Boone. I kid from a eight-year-old kid who came to New Jersey with his mom and dad to DeMarco's peach farm. He always come up and talk to me. Loved his dad oh, what a great person and a awesome catcher for Phillies. Never know this kid was going to grow up and be a manager for the New York Yankees. Great family

I think more managers should freak out like that. The plate umpires have been terribly inconsistent this season. As soon as you complain you're getting thrown out anyways, so make it good
as funny as the ejection was the pitch clearly was on the outside of the plate . you can replay it all day and its still a strike

Back in the day getting thrown out every now & then would rally the troops & it worked, every now & then. Boone does as much as the Anthem is played, & the only thing it motivates is beating the traffic home early.
I mean in this case Diaz was absolutely atrocious and an embarrassment to the league. Boone should have done this earlier in the game though plenty of egregious missed pitches to do it on.

Most people are missing the point. Boone was arguing based on the whole game, not one call. Also, it doesn't matter whether it was a strike or not. The way the catcher had to reach across made it look like a ball, which is how many umpires would have called it. Framing by a catcher can work for or against a pitcher. Remember, the umpire doesn't have a box like a TV viewer to gauge pitches.

When you leave so many men on base you can't blame umpires for the loss. It's his own players that need to be raked over the coals but I guess managers today don't do that.
