    I'm still shocked by the terrible condition that new vehicles arrive, with no correction by the dealership, prior to handing over to the customer. Nice job Pan, it was easy to see you really enjoyed this one. I think an Audi should be your next ride.👍🇨🇦

      The dealership doesn't care about the looks. They just wanna get the cars out. And like he said, you don't want them to do anything detailing wise. It's probably a teenager doing it 😂

      Ammo NYC did a great job destroying the Ferrari guys on that
      ^and yeah I work at a dealership and all they care about is how few days a car is kept on the lot (they keep close track of this day by day) and the detail guys are very very rough on the vehicles because volume matters more than quality

      I’m a 5 time Audi owner in the US. Every dealership I’ve been to detailed purchased vehicles and offers free washes and interior cleaning with maintenance appointments. I’m shocked that it’s not that way everywhere.

    • @chrisdenman1985
      @chrisdenman1985 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@OraclestwinCongrats on owning so many Audi's! Love the brand. So you watch this channel and know the level of care Pan gives to a vehicle. He even mentioned that he is going to go over the care of the vehicle with the customer to keep it looking it's best. I don't believe a dealer is going to give that level of care that Pan is referring to. To get a wash after a maintenance service is going to be done as fast as possible because there are other customers that are in there for the same reason. They may even have a tunnel wash at the dealership which would scratch the paint even more. If you're happy with their washes and your paint condition that's great but this vehicle is being brought to and maintained at a top level of care.

    Gorgeous car!!! Looks insane!!!!! Great to see a complete DIY list of products used on this car. I'm loving the ease of use of the perforated synthetic clay towel as opposed to using regular clay bars. I've done quite a few cars with the DIY clay towel and it had not left a single marring on the paint when used with either a dedicated lube, or just a wash soap or even a 2 in1 decon with a ceramic detail spray like the TEC528. His reactions to the car was brilliant. Had me smiling from ear to ear. Excellent work as always and thank you so much fo sharing these vids with us your loyal followers

    This is unbelievable mate. I'm as gobsmacked as the owner about how well that turned out. Beautiful car and fantastic result to suit. Awesome vid Pan.
    Question. When not stripping a coating would you normally pre rinse first before applying a snow foam or do you always apply to a dry surface?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There are two schools of thought on that, both methods being valid. You can pre-rinse first, especially if the car is dirty, before foaming. If you do that, I would still pre-treat the surface with a rinseless wash solution before rinsing.
      And you can apply the foam on a dry surface, allowing it to cling better on the surface, be less diluted (as there is no water on the surface) and in theory do a better job a pre-washing the surface that way.
      Nowadays, I mainly use the foaming on dry paint method.
      I made a video on that topic here: th-cam.com/video/16SwGBQ29rs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NOGJJuZipFIrtqeg

    DIY coatings looks good .. but will you recommend it over Roar Coatings?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I wouldn't compare both. Roar Coatings is a professional grade coating and costs way more. But it's the best pro coating I have ever tested. The DIY Detail is a blend between a consumer coating (accessible for DIYers to buy) and a professional coating in terms of performance. It's very good as well, and much less expensive.
      But I have been testing the Roar Coatings for many more years compared to DIY Detail, so time will tell how much I like the DIY Detail ones.

    Awesome job Pan! The car looks great. When I got my RS6 I immediately brought it to XPel Houston, had paint correction then whole car wrapped in matte PPF and ceramic coating on top. Was this guy nice enough to let you drive it or have you driven an RS6 before? It is such a nice ride in comfort mode, then hit the RS button and it’s such a beast. Also, have you seen the SICK new wheels available on the 2024 RS6 Performance? - beautiful. They look similar to Vossen HF-5’s

      Oh and the wheels in this video aren't the stock summer wheels, they are just the customer's beater winter set.

    Hey Pan. Great work! How does this DIY ceramic coat differ (if at all) in terms of prep/products from the ceramic detail shops that charge $1000. In other words, if I follow these steps using these products, why would someone still go to a detail shop?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      People who pay a professional to have their vehicles detailed and coated is usually because they don't have the time, or equipment, or skills to do all of that on their own. So what you are paying for mostly is for the detailer's time, and expertise. Which is totally worth it.
      But for the prosumers and more experienced DIYers, like those who watch my videos, you can do all of the work yourself and save a bunch, especially if you already have most of the equipment that you need. At that point, it's just buying the coating, and doing the work yourself.

      Yes this car has a full front clip with PPF, as well as the rocker panels.

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      It's the same thing with coatings. Brands usually say to work in small 2x2 sections, etc. That's to make sure those with less experience don't do any mistakes. When you have detailing experience, you can work larger areas. ;)

    Hey Pan, is it fine to use a PH12 on a ceramic coated car or should I aim for lower PH to be safer, interested to hear what you think! Thanks for all the content you provide us!

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For ceramic coated cars, for regular weekly washes, pH neutral is all you need. Once in a while, for deeper cleanings, you can use higher pH snow foams (like Bilt Hamber Touch-Less, Bilt Hamber Auto-Foam, CarPro Lift, etc) no problem on ceramic coated cars. Just don't use them on a weekly basis in my opinion.

      @PanTheOrganizer  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Of course. That's one way for me to get real world feedback from customers and different coatings from different brands. And also, as many customers don't take care of the coating as good as they should, it also allows me to see what a neglected coating looks like a few years down the road.

    Hi Pan ! Thank you as always for these videos. I used the DIY 8 year on both the PPF and painted panels of my RS6. The paint seems incredibly soft (not standard color), and I am seeing new swirl marks even after my careful home washes. Do you have a coating you prefer to help reduce these swirl marks? I don't want to PPF the whole car, but the panels without it are seeing such wear and tear and its only a few months old. Merci !!!

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi. Coatings aren't meant to protect against swirls and scratches, or stone chips. Only PPF can achieve that. Coatings are designed to provide gloss, slickness, chemical resistance, UV protection, hydrophobic properties and self-cleaning properties to make the vehicle much easier to wash.
      Coatings can to some extent help prevent a bit of the "love marks" or very light marring from hand washing and towel drying your paint, but that's about it.
      Using safe washing and drying methods is what's most important to help prevent scratching your paint. See my car wash tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/7Koj5j2Es5U/w-d-xo.html
