I don't saw much of Messi ever, because I started to watch football actively in like 2013 maybe and a Bundesliga fan. So I was really confused on how bad Messis scoring ability was back then compared to now. I mean, he was still a top tier striker back then but his skills were clearly the dribbling and passing, while he sometimes makes huge mistakes when trying to score. There's one scene in thus video where he just shoots half high and central so Cassillas can relatively easily defend. He had all options, but he chose the baddest one. And there's another scene where he just fails to score into the empty net. It appears he has worked a lot on that over the years.
