I wonder what the architect that designed that schoolhouse would have thought if someone told them that the first person to actually build it would be you, in minecraft.
this was so fun to see! i never knew about the boom of public education in america was partly due to sears :0 also im pretty sure the "wall hole" room is meant to say "well hole"? it makes sense to me that thered be a place for a well since indoor plumbing only started becoming common in the 1930s :> no hate, i just think these history-ish vids are rlly neat and get caught up in how ppl in the past lived lol
"WELL HOLE" THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE??? Thank you for pointing that out! Sometimes it's difficult to decipher the handwriting, especially when it's so tiny. You're a true detective! 🕵️ "History-ish" is a great way to describe it! I kind of just wanted to share what I discovered while building the schoolhouse, so I'm glad you enjoyed it!! 🥰👍
You should definitely have a look at some of the duplex and multi-family homes that Sears offered. They were never popular: it has always been a symbol of wealth to own a single family home. The model 154, Garfield, and 129 are just some of the duplexes they offered. The model 130 and Atlanta both contained four apartments, 2 per floor. The floor plans differed slightly, and both feature an opening in the center of the plan called a "light shaft" with windows to let more light in.
Bruh your so good at Minecraft decor it’s unreal
