I think towards the end, he comes to an important point that people are either defending their own dogma or jumping from one to another, leaving alone the experience that comes if only they spent enough time on the one path.
Earth is the body of God. Everything that lives on this planet Earth has come out of IT. The Source as some call It. We are Divine, Eternal, Spirit beings come to this mother Earth to be human beings and experience the flesh i.e. the five senses. As spirit beings we couldn't do that. This carnal path that we experience in the early stages of our humanity goes thru a change in the process to be spiritual beings. This awakening or enlightenment may happen to some on different levels, depending on their desire to move to a higher frequency of Consciousness to vibrate love, compassion...... This refinement comes slowly in the process towards maturity. We will notice in this age of Aquarius there are many many people on this path of spirituality and this was never heard of before in times past. We are very fortunate to have spiritual teachers who help us along our journey in this awakening process.
Tantra is a system Advaita vedanta is a philosophy they aren’t mutually exclusive. Philosophy is axiom tantra is method or system to reach the truth within the framework of a set of axioms hence they are not mutually exclusive Shankara himself was a big devotee of sharada mata so no he doesn’t reject tantra he himself in ananda lahari and Soundarya lahari wrote beautiful treatises on tantra. He just integrated the two but yes pure Advaita vedanta tradition which existed before Shankara you are right but Shankara integrated the two.
So the Advaita vedanta schools of today which descend from shanakracharya are not pure vedantins Shankara himself was a tantric, followed agama shashtras and integrated both of these systems into the Advaita vedanta philosphy
If the seeker is a uttamadhikari he gets enlightened by hearing the teaching only once or spontaneously by saktipatha or through grace.This is Anupaya.No sadhana required for him.But to whom there are all types of Malas he has to undergo sahanas as required. In adwitha also for a nipunamathi only the teaching once heard is enough for enlightenment. Otherwise he has to undergo all the sadhanas starting from karmayoga ,dhyanayoga,bhaktiyoga which includes all verities of rituals .It is a mis nomer that Sri Samkara denied all sadhanas.He gave to every sadhana it's legitimate place!But His contention is as the final Liberation which we call is as it is our own real nature which we are already is not a thing to obtain newly by doing some sadhana except recalling our true nature which is available all the time!In that sense no sadhana doing some action required. In another way प्रत्यभिज्ञा!
