      For sure, this is where the future is heading. Unlike the petroleum industry, only a selected few were able to get in, completely dominate, and benefit with great wealth. In my opinion, the EV industry is an open door to anyone who is hungry and willing to do the work. I wish you the best of luck and much success!

    Great video, I'm super excited to get in, while it's relatively still in it's infancy. I'm doing my do delegence, by research all aspects. However, I'm not running across videos , or information for just an everyday individual like myself getting into this industry.What I do see is, videos, and information given to established businesses, corporations, & entities to acquiring government assistance, with grants, that they say is ready and available funding. But I don't see anyone giving information for individual to get this type of funding. It would be helpful if you could provide some info, or direction on how to apply for this funding for just ordinary folk, who would like to start an EV Charging business. Thanks.💜💞💚

    Does the size of the battery for example a e-bike compared to an electric car impact the time it takes to charge?? And also I'm sure when people are stuck in traffic especially in Houston, u don't have 90 mins I can easily see people charging it up for 20 mins and getting back home or where they need to be. I'm wondering bc I don't think a e-bike would take 8hours to fully charge on a level 2. Im thinking maybe 1-2 hours. Maybe get your batter Half charged in 30 mins on a level 2. Just as a vape compared to a cellphone vapes will be fully charged in 20 mins phones usually take an hour.

    • @platinumblackservices
      @platinumblackservices  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, the size of the battery has an impact on battery life. Another EV charging service in the works is EV mobile charging services which is similar to roadside assistance.

  • @frankcoffey
    @frankcoffey 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    The business model that works has a store attached. Gas stations can't survive without the profit from the store. Also, travelers need air pumps for tires, windshield waster tools, bathrooms, food drinks etc. Just because you drive an EV doesn't mean you don't need these things. At attendant is important so you have someone to inform when stuff is broken. Also, 15% of gas buyers pay in cash. How are those folks going to be able to go EV?

    • @platinumblackservices
      @platinumblackservices  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Having a store attached is beneficial. We will see how things play out over the next 5-10 years. It will be interesting.

    Good Morning Queen, with the prime location setup, do we need permission to establish our charging station at any of the locations listed on Tip#3 ? Do we need any specific licenses or permits to operate this business? Or are we just able too select a supplier, installer to help establish our charging system once we’re able too find a location

    Great information, thank you. I hope i can keep putting this together to make it a business.
    The way I’d like it to be set up is almost off the grid but still interconnected in case of bigger needs but I would like a big land with either big arrays of solar or solar tracking systems for maybe 8 solar modules w 400w each, total 3.2kwh per tower. The tracking systems also gives you between 15-30% better production throughout the day then have inverters from dc to 3 phase 480v coming out to some batteries connected in series being able to hold at least 2 days of full production from solar, now the 3 phase would also allow me to put level 3 charging stations as well as level 2 if I wanted to, try to sell car charges for limited quantity and little by little keep adding batteries and solar if there’s still space until maxed out then next location. I plan on doing all the electrical and solar work myself I’m just halfway through my electrical contractors license.
    If this was my case, is there a regulation of prices to sell electricity or do I fully have control over that?
    Also looking for ideas to make it more appealing than teslas charging stations, any suggestion helps

    • @platinumblackservices
      @platinumblackservices  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Congrats on the process of obtaining your electrical license! Generating and selling renewable energy for EV chargers is a great idea. You will have the upper-hand in controlling your pricing. However, keep in mind that the contracts you enter into and the consumers you sell to want to pay "reasonable rates" for energy. As the EV industry continues to grow, I'm sure that pricing rules and limitations will be more of a concern. Check with your state's energy department for more info (see link below). From what I've learned, to become more appealing is to ensure that your charging stations are adaptable to charge various EVs. The more flexible and adaptable the better. Good luck!

    My question is do you have to buy land or can you make a deal with a business or just put in a parking lot?

    • @platinumblackservices
      @platinumblackservices  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, someone has to buy/own the land outright first. The land owner can either pay for all of the upfront costs to install and maintain their EV charging stations or they can become a site host. A site host leases their land to a third-party EV charging provider (such as ChargePoint or Electrify America who pays 100% of the upfront costs and ongoing upkeep) while collecting a fee........For example, a business owner (who happens to own a building and/or parking lot area) could either buy and install EV charging stations out-of-pocket or enter into a contract with a third-party EV charging provider and collect a fee.

    Moving away from fuel?
    Install a EV charging station.
    Let see
    Ok let see.
    First need a location. Upgrade a service need a bigger transformer, a buy product of fossil fuels. Because each transformer has a tub of oil.
    If you want to dig and burying the insulation need a excavator that need fossil fuel to dig and bury the PVC pipe that a buy product of oil .
    Then to run the wires to each station. Installation on copper wire is oil base. Not to mention the copper was mine with big oil digging machine. Then the product were ship by truck to the supply house you buy it from. The workers driving gas vehicles back forth with there vans truck to install the equipment.
    And they can used there bye product of oil a plastic credit card and to power the car with fossil fuels power plan
    Note the rich are starting to install 100 amp residential charging station at there houses and taking out there old 48 amp charging station that charge at and upgrade a lot of electrical service.
    We install a extra 600 amp panel with a new transformer for just the EV in a underground parking lot.
    Had to upgrade a transformer on a power pole because that neighbor hood was tripping it . Luckily the utility company was upgraded another transformer and moved that one to that neighbor hood.

    Hello hello Platinum Black Services, I am looking into starting my own business. However, I am having difficulty on where to finding a place to partner with or allow me to place a EV charger in their premises. Should I buy land or a parking lot stall then do it. I got rejected by 5 businesses so far so I thought to ask you

    • @platinumblackservices
      @platinumblackservices  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Generally, you will need to own the land/property yourself. If a business owner wants an EV charging unit on their premises, they will either pay or buy it themselves or lease it from an EV charging manufacturer/provider directly such as ChargePoint or EVgo. Try to find an experienced EV consultant who can give you better direction. Best of luck!

      Many say that Level 3 chargers are very expensive.

    • @tscoff
      @tscoff 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The pricing that I saw for Level 3 Fast Chargers started at $55,000 for one that can charge 2 cars simultaneously and went up to $220,000. That didn’t include the fact that they require a 480v electricity service which is much more expensive than residential electricity service is. Installation plus rent for commercial real estate on top of buying the equipment and paying for the electricity and I can’t see getting a commercial EV charger site with a capacity to charge 6-8 cars at a time for less than $500k up front. It takes a lot of electricity to recoup that investment plus pay your operating costs!

    Hey do I need any certifications for this business

    • @platinumblackservices
      @platinumblackservices  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If the goal is to be an Electrical EV Installer then yes and I posted a good video on that....... However, if the goal is to own an EV charging station business then you are required to pull (or apply) for a permit within the city/jurisdiction you plan to install the EV chargers. The hired Electrical EV Installer(s) must be stated-licensed or certified and the EV charging units are required to be certified and pass specific federal and state codes.

    There’s no such thing called Level 3. Please don’t mislead the public. There are Level 1 and 2 AC chargers, which use EV onboard charge controller. Then there is DC fast charger which uses heavy duty silicon carbide charge controller inside the station, not the controller in the vehicle.
