Thanks for a nice and thorough review, Tom. I should add that you can also play with the Corrupt Cop in a four-player game, just as you can add a Corrupt Cop to three-player games (if you really want it to be crazy), or TWO to the six-player game. You can customise as you please :-)
Looks very very interesting. I love co-op games, especially those with a traitor. This one seems to be a bit shorter than many co-ops too, which is a plus in my book. Definitely gonna check this out.
Adding a traitor to this game was a fantastic idea. There just aren't enough games with traitors in them. Thanks for clarifying the fact that there can be a dirty cop in a four player game. This is ensured that I will, in fact, be purchasing this game.
I view those comparisons more as broad generalizations. I am eager to play this one because it does diverge from the Pandemic paradigm in many ways! :P
I am hoping this game will evolve in the way Dominant Species did...2nd or 3rd edition will feature better art and design...and I could see them setting different editions/expansions in specific real or fictional cities (as the have done in the GTA series)...I'll wait a bit and see how it develops!
You go around cleaning up crime (outbreaks), whilst trying to solve a murder case (finding a cure), whilst avoiding mass outbreaks (outbreaks of crime), whilst looking around your team trying to work out who is working for the mob (same as the traitor in the Pandemic expansion). The spine of the game is essentially the same...
And good call Tom on the top down video game reference...exactly what I was thinking...GTA 1...that is the problem...looks a bit dated! Hope it will spruced up a bit before general release!
Tom - We have the game (2nd Edition) and terrific family fun; and have now added Chicago PD, Lethal Weapon & Columbo, etc. pictures (with added Rubber Cement) to the character cards. Further Mattel miniature cars added more fun to the game too. A keeper !
Yup, why they couldn't at least create a vibrant, neon-lit city for the board with different coloured and detailed buildings is beyond me...it still looks like a Kickstarter prototype to me...disappointing!
I got the same reaction too. LoL. But, will this board fit to Zombicide game? If it doe, I will house rule it and mix them together. Imagine police officers have to face zombies instead of street punks!

This looks like a blast!!! I want a police bike so I can be Ponch and John!
Donuts for extra movement!? Only a cop would assume this would work..
Bad boys bad boys
what you gonna do
what you gonna do
when they come for you...
I really like your review of the game, I always go to your channel to see your reviews before I buy any board game, thanks

Looks interesting. Not huge on co-op games, but I can see this being good fun. On my maybe list.
Really happy that I helped Kickstart this game. Can't wait to get my copy :)
Looks good, but why are all the punk chips black?
I had been on the fence about buying this game - now it is a must buy. Thanks, Tom!
Awesome! I was really hoping this game would be good, and it looks like it should be a lot of fun. I can't wait to pick this one up!
You know, I wouldn't mind seeing a board game where you play as a paramedic.
flash point: fire rescue
WOW! I need to get this one. Too bad it's out so short before the holidays!
Scanning the QR code on the card he holds up takes you to the Commonman website.
Since this is a co op game, and the traitor variant is optional, would this work as a solo game??
Yes
OMG Police Quest: The Board Game!!! Thank you board game gods, my prayers have been answered.
Really looking forward to when this hits the stores, since I did not find out about it before this video :-)

Game is scheduled to shipped to stores on febuary 14 2013

What's with the QR codes on the player cards? You forgot to mention something about them.
You would think that this would be a good title for the Chief to review ;)
Maybe that's the reason why he says in the video it's named after him and the designed asked his permission?
This game sounds really fun! Definitely a game my organization would be interested in playing.:)

Yay Jake's Pawn Shop is right over Vasel Avenue! (That's my name. X )
Wish it was a Prime item on Amazon. ;)
@judgedredd1973: +1 and +2 on the Event Cards indicates how many street punks that will emerge at random Bad Hoods.

Hey Tom, this or Brook City?
Looks mechanically similar to Shadows Over Camelot. Any thoughts on which you like better and whether one would Jones Rule out the other?

Better than Flashpoint?
this looks cool. I think my cop friends would like it haha

Cool idea for a game!
I want this board for Zombicide!
Joachim Erdtman little too big and the buildings don’t have “spaces”
Def gonna get this one
This one excites me
Vasel Avenue? That's no coincidence. lol
I got the same reaction too. LoL. But, will this board fit to Zombicide game? If it doe, I will house rule it and mix them together. Imagine police officers have to face zombies instead of street punks!
Seems very interesting, though a fairly blatant take from Arkham Horror.
Yeah I couldn't bring myself to buy it because of that
Blast you Tom Vassal, stop forcing my hand in buying more games! Space Cadet and now this? Why are there so many great games coming out?
7:34 Autoposy?!? Really annoying, a spelling error on the gameboard.
This game needs a second edition, with rules reworking and redone art work
i'm not thrilled at the idea of playing as a cop, but this game looks extremely promising to say the least.
I think most CO-OPs have an "outbreak" mechanic of some sort...and Pandemic hardly invented it.
kinda have a cringe moments with those intros and throwing all the game pieces on the table!
Is this the final version? The art looks a bit bland!
Looks like Pandemic with Cops
This looks way too complicated
eh? not really.
