For those who can't pay the Patreon and willing to go further with this Tutorial, in 2.49 instead of the HDA you can plug a polyframe node and enable only the Tangent Name = N so you can have normals pointing inwards towards to the center :)
Thank you! Very nice tutorial. Could you please explain more in details about the loop? Or is it possible to grab file with correct loop settings on patrion? It would be great if you'll make some tutorial about looping the animations at all.
The file with the loop is available on patreon. Because of the way the particles move at different rates its very difficult to get it to loop without making them disappear essentially. The amplitude of the mountain noise, pscale of the particles and the polywire width were animated to a value of zero on the first and last frames to make it loop.

Honestly, it's great, I liked it, the way to make the apen arc follow the course of the movement is very good.
