Hi Andy, it certainly looks like it is "Beyond Paradise" 😊We haven't seen the show - but need to check it out! Such a picturesque little seaside town. Quaint and charming. Gorgeous beach and harbour. Fantastic photos at the end. What a little gem ❤
The TV show is a spin off the show Death in Paradise another BBC series - the main character Humphrey was in the original and this sees him returning to the UK to be with his partner and take up being a detective in 'Shipton Abbott'. Thanks for watching.
@DC245100 Yeah, we went most evenings. We tried to get out and visit a few different places whilst we were in Cornwall, there will be more videos coming to the channel when I get time to edit them.
@gatersontour thanks for watching folks. It's been years since I visited here (I think I was a teenager 🤔, yeah that long ago) so it was great to visit again. I have more videos from Cornwall over the next few weeks.
Really liked this Andy 😊 I would normally visit looe every year when I was down in Cornwall so I have lots of great memories there. It’s a busy place at times but very nice. Loved the photos they were great. 😊
Thanks Yasmin, I can imagine right now in the school holidays it is very busy indeed - we decided to go a month early to avoid the queues. It's a couple of decades since I was last here and I definitely don't want to leave it that long again.
A wonderful tour Andy and certainly a beautiful quaint spot - we watched Beyond Paradise and in every episode the sun was shining unlike your day ! Loved the tribute to Nelson and can only imagine the prices at the Old Sardine Factory (and probably two hopes of anything vegan 🌱 either ) Hoping to explore some similar lovely spots as we head back out in the van tomorrow 🚐 Lovely images at the end and looked a most enjoyable trip 👍🏻
Thanks, Andrew. My Mrs is an avid Death in Paradise/Beyond Paradise fan. Being a tight northerner it was more cost-effective to go to Looe than the Caribbean 😀 . I was hoping to get some great shots of Looe but never got the weather the day I have the camera with me. Most of those shot were with my phone. Have a great week in the van.
@MattandBecExplores-lt9vf Thanks for watching folks. 4 hours ago, were you up for a nighttime feed with the little one? Looe was a nice little place, an ideal family holiday resort.
Really enjoyed watching this Andy, amazing to see what's on offer around Looe, loving the harbour and the restaurants and pubs. Interesting to hear that they stop service earlier, might be because they are more quiet and slower, rather than the busy bustling towns like Bristol etc. Loved seeing what there is to do whilst in Looe, the Goal looks interesting, bargain at £2 too!! Wow that beach looked so quiet and calm. Some incredible photos you shared, how talented. Loved the shot of the town, so cool!! Thanks for sharing!
We were quite surprised when some of the pubs stopped service as early as they did - we obviously weren't the only ones as plenty of holidaymakers were being turned away. I did wonder that it was early July and not high season. Many places were fully booked too. There is plenty do do in Looe - we filmed this around 6-9pm at night so most things were shut. During the day you can take fishing or seal spotting trips etc. Thanks for watching.
Never been before but I have seen videos and always thought it looked great, especially as it reminds me of Whitby, which I love. Also loved the narrow little streets but strange to hear it had been raining all day, as I always associate Cornwall with constant sunshine. Cannot complain with a £2 entry fee of a museum - even better free for the kids and that beach looked amazing! Superb photos at the end, cheers Alan
Thanks, Alan. I know what you mean about the Whitby feel. Yes, it hammered it down that day, we went to Polperro - a rather damp video to follow. It rained a couple of days on and off, but this day, well you could have thought you were in the Lake District 😀 Cheers for watching.
Morning Andy Looks a great place to visit. It sounds like there is lots of history attached to it, very interesting. Thanks for taking us round Aww statue of the seal Really enjoyed this Have a great day
Enjoyed that Andy. Looks a lot more peaceful in the evening. We do like Looe and as you say lots of options for food etc. as long as your early 😂. Good job mate. Have a good week. 👍🏻🚶🏻♂️🚶♀️
@WanderingwithWatto Thanks for watching Watto. I hope you had a great weekend. Yeah, with Looe, you have to weigh up the benefits or eating or free parking 🤔 🙃
We went to Polperro too, Stephen. We got wet! That will be a future video. At least I got some atmospheric photos from that afternoon 😀 Cheers for watching.
Never been to Cornwall for an explore but Looe looks a lovely harbour town even in the gloom. I can just imagine it on a nice sunny day. I bet fresh sardines taste the business but don't think I could afford the Michelin restaurant prices either! I'll wait for the cafe to open the next day or go between 4&5 for the free parking. The weather in the photos at the end looked better than your wander. Some great shots 👍
@TheHikingHermit It's a lovely county with plenty of walks either on the coast or on Bodmin Moor. It's a long drive down there, though. We tended to pop down to Looe most evenings after being out for the day. Thanks for watching 🙂
Okay, is it just me...I guess the first thing is that there must be a distinction made between going to Looe, and that of going to the loo! lol Oh my, I see that everyone else was able to hold themselves back from that one. Quite the marvelous harbour area for sure. And look at those narrow streets...quite iconic. Got yourself some marvelous still shots too! Awesome!!
Yes, we had to use all of our British reserve not to go down the toilet humour route, Bruce. 😀 Wait until you see the video on Polperro, even narrower streets. Cheers for watching. I hope you're having a great week.
Thanks for the video tour of this charming seaside town, you would never know it was a smugglers paradise. I loved your photos especially the sunset with boats in the foreground - was that an ND filter at work on the water? I was disappointed though that your didn't have a Cornish Pastie with your beer!🤣
@dennismurray703 Thanks for watching Dennis. Believe it or not, all those photos were taken on my Samsung. It's scary how good it is for wide shots, you can tell it brackets images as there is a Seagull in one of the shots, and it is ghosted where the phone isn't quite intelligent enough to realise it's a moving object. Anyway, back to Looe, it is a charming place, very pretty. As for a Cornish Pasty, one makes an appearance in the video from Polperro, which will be on the channel in a few weeks' time.
What a bridge the 7 arches class mate what a place this is beautiful ports i also have some touring to do here but gonna make it van camping ni e show around andy and loving the information as always great as always pal enjoy folks to think these places were full of smugglers and dodgy deals eh class
Thanks for watching, mate. Cornwall is a great spot for a bit of van life. There is so much to see, our 7 days wasn't long enough. I've got another video from Polperro, which is out on Sunday. That's another fantastic place to visit but a bit expensive on the car parking.
@OutandaboutwithAndy yeah that's my thougjt andy the time as it's so blooming far away so will do the same next year have a week there and visit as much as possible and yeah take out a bank loan first hahaha
That was a wonderful tour of the harbor village, Andy. I really like that bridge. Wonderful photos at the end 😊
Thanks DL - Cornwall is a beautiful part of the UK, I have more from Cornwall to come. Thanks for watching.
Looks a lovely place Andy thanks for taking us around! Great prem 👍 have a great week ahead
Cheers Nick and Jill - is your next one Bridlington based by any chance?
Locked and loaded mate. Looking forward to seeing your take on Looe.

Thanks for joining the premiere Adzey. I couldn't find any graffiti art in Looe , I don't think it's reached this part of Cornwall yet.
