Coming from someone who went from zero experience to Ironman in under 6 months (3x finisher now), I can confidently say you've embarked on a journey that, if completed, will be one of the most incredibly fulfilling experiences ever. Enjoy the journey, celebrate the small wins along the way, dial in your training and nutrition, and crush it on race day. Best of luck man 🤝
Thank you brother! 🤝🤝
No idea how this video arrived in my recommended, but it's exactly what I needed. Excellent quality video, and inspirational journey. Looking forward to following along, respect bro
Thanks brother! Means a lot. Hopefully the series can inspire you to do an Ironman too! 😅
Your not the only one. I’m in there with you! June 2nd. Let’s do this 💪
Let’s go mate!
Great video. Good on you. I did my first IM a few years ago. Was absolutely magical! Keep stretching, eating well and focus on good sleep to help your recovery over these coming months
Sleep is 100% the hardest part for me! Always feels broken haha but getting recommended hours and feeling good at the moment! Thanks mate and congrats to you also!
I love this bro! I'm rooting for you throughout your journey, you inspire me🙏🏾
Thank you for the kind words brother!
So bloody excited to watch your videos!! You’ve got this!!!
Thank you!!!
So proud of you! This video and the goal is amazing!
Thanks daz!
How good is this! Great goal and even better cause, all the best Brody!
Thank you brother! And thanks for all your help!
Yes!! been looking for this since I saw Average rob do it. Keep going champ!
Thanks mate!!
I randomly looked up ironman from scratch cause ive just started couch to 5k and am keen to watch your whole journey to the race, looks like i just came in time before your race vid!
Yep!! Thanks mate :)
Just watchted your video because I really want to do an Ironman. I did my first small triathlon this year and I went through similar struggles like you. And I found the reason why you are doing the Ironman to raise awareness makes it even more special. Keep going, even when you just want to give up!
Thanks Ella!! I believe in you to do it 😁
Hey Brody, found this serious so incredibly inspiring. I’ve just had major knee surgery, and you’ve inspired me to start filming my recovery to doing a full Ironman one year on from not being able to walk. Keep the brilliant work up! Look forward to seeing this work continue!
Thanks mate!! Keep going, tag me when you start :)
I feel you. Nice to see your struggles as I experience them myself since I am also training for a full Triathlon next year september. I will for sure check your video's. Best of luck and keep going strong. And many thanks for sharing.
Thanks mate and best of luck!
amazing quality on this video mate good luck with your goals cant wait to watch the entire series g
Cheers brother ❤️
Hey Brody! Thanks for sharing this amazing video with us! Just found your channel!
Your editing is outstanding!
Cheers from Brazil!
Thank you mate! I’m glad you enjoyed :)
I did this last year. Really eager to see you progress. Keep pushing !
Amazing mate!!
Your a champ! Keeping a keen eye on your journey mate
Thanks Hendo!!
Hey Brody, I'm Seán from Scotland. YT just recommended me this video - I'm in a similar boat. I'm doing one of the UK's hardest triathlons (the Celtman) in June 2024 and I've started training last week with basically 0 experience.
I was also planning on documenting the journey so it's funny to come across this video and see someone else doing something so similar!
Do it mate!!! Good luck! :)
I subscribed to you now in case you do it. Can't wait!
Subscribed! Looking forward to see how a videographer documents this epic journey! I did the same thing a few years ago from zero to Ironman. It will change you 💪 in the best shape of my life right now and two Ironman races next year 😎
Thanks mate!! It has been hard trying to tripod most shots 100%!!
This video found me at the right time,
I just signed up for Ironman Cairns 2024 with no triathlon experience.
8 months from zero to Ironman, just like you mate!
Keen to see your journey unfold.
Amazing bro!!! Very similar to me, hopefully you can learn from my mistakes haha
we can learn from each other haha@@brodysearle
I'll follow the journey! nice to see!
Thank you mate!
Doesn't sound ridiculous mate! Small improvements day by day and you will NAIL IT!
Thank you brother! Much love!
100% just followed and put on notis. cannot wait to watch this journey. Started training a week or two ago. Can’t wait to go through this with you brother
Thanks mate! All the best as well with your journey too! How was your first week training?
@@brodysearle terrible. Didn’t sleep well and didn’t recovery all too well since it was after a long stint away from the gym. Make sure to eat and fuel before workouts properly is the biggest thing I learned in the first week. Just keep pushing! All you can do is keep moving forward!
@@jacob14721472 I felt the exact same don’t worry! 😅
I’ve really enjoyed your series so far Brody 💪💪, you’ve inspired me to do a similar thing… going public for accountability. All the best with the training 🏊♂️ 🚲 🏃♂️
Thanks mate!! Crush it :)
Sorry, second audio file seems to have gotten compressed 😅
Fantastic video! Looking forward to more of your progress brother
Thanks brother ❤️
Exciting challenge. Wishing you all the best.
Thank you!
This is awesome mate, gained a supporter
Appreciate it brother!!
Subscribed! I wish you the very best of luck on your journey! I am an Ironman (Barcelona 9:48) too, and I know how much pain it can be, but it's worth making it happen.
Wow bro amazing time! Thank you!
Just showed up in the recommended and wow, instant subscribe. Impeccable video, I’ve recently been thinking about doing an iron man aswell, similar background having only ever tan before really
Thanks brother! I thought about doing an Ironman for months and months similar to you haha but now hopefully it’s a soon to be reality, hopefully you can do it too man 😁
Can’t wait to see how far you go
Thank you !!
Looking to run my first ironman 70.3 in Bolton at the end of next June. I have little to no swimming/ cycling background so looking forward to following this series as I myself encounter a lot of the same issues. Best of luck.
Similar time period! Best of luck mate!!
You can do it ! Last year I started training for Copenhagen Ironman, with 9 months of training. 9 months laters I finished. Didnt knew how to swim, very little bike experience but been running for a while. Go for it !
How’d you go??
Same . What was your time ?
Good ! I did a time of 9 hours 34 min ! :)
@@sorenzartov that’s incredible mate
From a Brody to a Brody, let's do this!
Mate, finally glad to see someone else get called brodstar 🤣
Good luck on your training! Looking forward to the videos coming up (and maybe a better mic?)
Thank you! Yep mic has been changed haha not sure what happened in this video to be honest, apologies!
good luck man
Thanks mate!!
hi my name is gabe and i support this content
Thanks mate!
Omg just found your videos! I kinda want to do it too, just got into running, hope to get a bike soon 😂 good luck!
Do it!! It’s 100% a big goal to do one day :)
Great, i am starting tomorrow
Goodluck!
Great job on the quality of the first video! You're gonna pop off if you keep uploading consistently.
I'm really looking forward to seeing how your journey goes. Mainly because I also just set the goal to partake in the Ironman of Hamburg on 2 June while being a beginner in the 3 sports. My reason is to have complete self-control over my mind. What is your why?
Thanks mate! Appreciate it a lot.
All the best with your journey too! It is a big learning curve starting from knowing absolutely nothing!!
This is awesome! Pumped to see you do this and smash it hard - if you want any help - I’m a PT over in England - and I’d happily help out if I can! Can imagine you’ve got some help already, but just incase you haven’t :)
Looking forward to the rest of the series 💪🏻👊🏻
Thanks Thomas!
I’ll happily take any help I can get! I’ve currently got a number of health professionals helping me with the programming and injuries but happy for any help along the way 😅
Like allot of people this was a random recommendation. I’ve now watched every video.
I’ve subscribed
Thank you! Not sure why everyone got recommended this video but I hope you’ve enjoyed the episodes and watching me learn 😅
Legend!
Cheers Lachlan!
Good on ya champ! Goodluck! Did the Ironman Port Macquarie this year and was definitely challenging but fun. Maybe will see you there!
Have been told it’s a tough one by many haha hopefully I’ll see you there brother! Thank you!
Amazing
Thanks Joel!
Average rob changed the game
Facts though! Arno, Rob and Milan changed the game for sure
I myself wanted to do something like this but invested what i have in the equipment to train , neverthelast we will make it mate 3900 m 180 km 42 km lets become an ironman
We will do it mate!
Bro I am with you...doing the same but have 3 more Months ;)
Amazing bro let’s go!
I also want to start training..I just don’t know if at age 33 it is possible (I want to do it in 1-2 years from now)
Always possible man! If you give yourself a longer time frame, more than enough time to adapt! 😁😁
I'm considering doing this ironman, i'm a 18 year old from Geelong, have exams in 2 weeks and wouldn't be able to start training until start of November, my goal is to just finish but i would be doing it off very little training. should i still go for it?
Best of luck with you VCE exams mate! My goal is also to finish as well! I’ll have a few people jumping on to talk about the preparation so hopefully it can help you out after your exams!
There’s a Geelong 70.3 in March by the way!!
@@brodysearle Oh great!!, thank you and yeah i saw the 70.3, i think it's worth doing that first
@@thomasray8275 agreed, I may also do this in my prep!
Legend love this man 👊 I have just done a similar thing in 2023 posting my full recap and breakdown of the journey , if you need any support or even just questions (don’t hesitate to reach out ) (0 pitch here or not selling anything BTW ) just gone through a similar process , I finished Ironman wales in 16:24 after 9 months training , you got this dude
Thanks mate! Amazing bro - great to see you completed it! Ripper effort!
Where do I get your Trainings Plan ?
Don’t have any at the moment mate! Have a coach now :)
What is T2KO? I obviously need awareness
T2KO is a non for profit organisation by Zac Pettit who I’ve gotten close with over the last 5 months! It stands for it’s Time 2 Know Osteosarcoma.
Feel free to check out their Insta for more!! :)

God dam, no experience then goes out and does a 4km swim first up. 😮
Nah was only 500m in 20 minutes hahah I was full delusional after that swim clearly 🤣
@@brodysearle😂was gonna say, what an effort, keep striving mate
@@LTGNGNUGGT probably would’ve been saved by the lifeguard if I attempted that first day 🤣
"4k swim. Not even a quarter." What? I think I miss heard. Was your first swim ever 4 kilometers???? And a quarter of what?
Sorry, it was 500m swim in 20 minutes and 53 seconds! I think at the time I was thinking about a half ironman distance because I was drowning haha so referring to the quarter aspect, I was referring to a 4km swim but I only managed 500m which is only 1/8! I was honestly super gassed there!
What are u raising awareness for?
He's raising awareness for T2KO
Raising awareness for T2KO which stands for It's Time 2 Know Osteosarcoma. If you want; there is a link in my bio to read more about it or you can head to their socials also: www.t2ko.com.au / instagram.com/t2ko__/. Will be making a further video on this with Zac, the founder, soon :)
Everything looks good, other than the part that you learned swimming within a day. Breathing is the hardest part, and you aced that within a day; it looks like a joke to me.
Was just joking around mate! I am in no way a good swimmer haha breathing is 100% the hardest part I agree.
You’ll see in the next few videos and on my Strava how I say I struggle with breathing a lot!
@@brodysearle Haha, exactly. I'm still struggling with it. Moreover, I just saw the 2nd part and realised that it was a joke but great content mate. Keep them coming. Definitely taking inspiration from you.
I am doing a video in a few weeks on swimming mate! Shoot me a message on Insta and I'll link you when the times comes - hopefully it can help you out, as I know it's daunting.@@imutkarshy
