@@patrickspendrin3107 correct. the sign only went off AFTER the truck was already well past the bridge. you can see it trigger in the last few seconds of the video. This truly was a contributory incident. to be sure, the primary responsibility is still on the driver to know whether or not they can make it under the bridge... but that warning sign sure was not working as intended either.
@@thomasneal9291 The sign was on the entire time, though? There's no difference between before and after the crash.
@@jedimasterpickle3 it started flashing in the last second of the video. But nevertheless, it was perfectly visible the whole time before.
"Oh, that? The top you say? Oh, it was like that when I rented it from you guys this morning!"
Legend has it that trucks that don't run the red light are granted safe passage
😂😂😂
I'm so excited that I'm going to visit this bridge in just a couple days! First time ever in this part of the country, so of course for me this is perhaps the biggest tourist attraction
Train??!! Oh boy! THIS is one for the archives. Lovely capture and timing.
This is so amazing!!
Thanks to Ryder truck rentals for the renting to some of America’s best truck drivers!!
YES!!👍🏻‼️‼️
I have been tuned to this channel for years, and its still fun to watch
Same! I got one of this channel's videos in my recommended in October 2020, and I haven't stopped watching since.
Is it wrong to laugh heartily at someone else's misfortune? I mean, there's PLENTY of warnings. I derive so much joy from these videos. Love the train. It's the icing on the cake.
Love,
A Huge Fan
At some point it goes from misfortune to stupidity.
It's wrong in all the best ways!!
A rule of thumb I have is help those who want to be helped, you could repurpose it to respect those that respect themselves... over trying to ride a huge truck under a tiny bridge.
They must know that this kind of damage is absolutely not covered by insurance, right?
I think as long as no one gets hurt too badly. These guys received plenty of warnings and it is pretty ridiculous so yeah I'd say you are ok to laugh at this.
Not if it's that stupid and well deserved, no!
Whoever drives those trucks must have a secret deal with a local repair shop 😂
You knew it wouldn't fit, you had evidence it didn't fit, you clearly stop to think about it and instead of backing up to minimize further damage...you went ahead anyway. Thank you. Thank you for doing that. 👏👏👏
Best channel on all of TH-cam. The internet was created for this very thing.
Wow, all the box trucks at this Ryder look brand new! Business must be doing great!
That train at the end was like the Roadrunner with the final insult after Wile E Coyote smashed himself again. Meep Meep!
No need for a slo-mo replay, either. Beautiful.👌
YES ! ! ! Thanks ! ! !
Apparently the counter guys at the rental truck agency aren't calling out the "if you hit this bridge, you pay for all the damage" clause on the rental agreement anymore.
Rumor has it that they celebrate with cake when a truck comes back without having gone cabriolet. Lean'n'slim, them Penske folks..
This way they always have an inventory of new trucks, or at least the trailer.
The insurance company and truck dealer are also happy: it's a win-win-win!
They probably have this channels entire playlist on a constant loop in the office to show the renters what NOT TO DO! And yet they still do it.
A beautiful work of art with the perfect train timing and everything.
And THAT, children, is how you make a convertible.
Well they converted the box body to scrap metal I guess
It's how you convert a box truck into a gondola!
😂
This is Glorious!
Bridge : let's add 8" for security
Industry : YAY! we can make bigger trucks
The way the frame around the door falls off and then that piece of metal falls down is like icing on a cake.
It was good but I like the ones where it looks like someone dropped an open box of matchsticks.
OMG, a hat-trick in three weeks. Not quite all in May but nearly. And a train! Nice peel, too!
Van says: "the nasty train pushed the bridge on top of me!"
The bridge is back with a vengeance! One of the best ones that had about everything. A pedestrian running in fear and the suspense if the truck can escape the grip of the bridge before the train crosses. I watched it four times and it keeps giving me a belly laugh each time.
This was the best video of this bridge I've seen yet. amazing.
my favorite unboxing channel
It makes my heart so happy that the bridge is back to it's regular diet again! "Get in mah belly!"
Another day another rental truck smashing into the bridge 😌
I feel everyone in this comment section could meet for a beer and it'd just be a universally good time
There’s a bar less than a block from this intersection.
It's one of the funniest comment sections I've ever seen
On top of everything said in other comments, it has a beautiful cinematic atmosphere straight out of the seventies… train, sounds, accident… only in colours. What a treat!
