I could see Daily Challenges like Tray only, no automation, less patience etc, but I agree that the automation is pretty fun and way to limited in getting up and running

I agree with Ash about the automation. It feels like the fun of the game lies in optimization. As it is players mainly get to play with layout and time management. Automation feels like it should be a big part of that, but all the tools take a little too long to aquire.
I'm not sure the exact fix, but it feels like the mix of expensive special items and randomized purchasable items leads to a lot of days with no purchases. I wonder if having just one of these obstacles instead of both would help.
The biggest issue with automation is to do it effectively, it seems to take a whole run, of which you are either dead, or one stuff up and your dead. between blueprint desks, copy tables, discount desks, I just wish these items are more selectable, i had fun in the recent playtest, and boom day 4 was when i was able to get my first research table, and blueprint cabinet, so i could research for the blueprint table.. and then it can take up to day 7 or 8 to get your 2nd desk.either a blueprint desk or a copy desk, depending on which one your aiming for.
Main point, id just say more selectablity would solve alot of randomness since they cose so much.

I say it everytime and I say it with love, please aenna stop taking all the orders at once especially in late game. You kill your timer.
There could be 3 tables and let say each order time is 10 seconds. If you do all 3 at once you only have 10 seconds to feed three tables.
If you stagger taking orders by 3 seconds you would by yourself 10 seconds for table one, 13 for table 2, and about 16 for table 3 from the time of taking table one's order.

I would value the mixing maschine more than the sink, cause of the potential card of making the patties yourself. And for the potatos.
More cabinets should be very early game guys, you're shooting yourselves in the foot by having to pick and choose between a sink and a converyor on day 12

As messed up as it sounds, I can imagine the people making coffee mess being the customers with physical tourettes ticks in their hands and accidentally cause a mess
I'm not entirely on board with the vending machine option or making optimization easy-- the fact that it's a rouge-like makes me want to embrace the randomness and utilizing what you get when you get it, including the less-than-optimal. While it may not always be the meta option, a game you can win 100% of the time isnt entertaining.
I appreciate Stumpt Tray contribution for this episode. I disagree with you about coffee, for me the messes were the worst, then advertising added 25% more customers and lastly coffee, you were doing great with just coffee. I think that the advertising card is tricky when it's combined with starters or desserts, this is because increasing 25% more customers means 25% more main dishes and 25% more desserts/starters (most of the time they order a full meal), so it's around 50% more things to do, instead of 25% more things when you are dealing with just a main dish, this card adds a non linear effect.
When Aenne choose chaos by taking all of the order, because probably they're panic seeing there are more customers outside

like someone commented below, i would also not like a store, i feel like that defeats the idea of it being a roguelike. i do think that just increasing the chances of getting basic automation items is going to fix the automation problem. that was the main problem when i tested out the build last weekend, it was a slog getting to an automated kitchen and i just gave up
