2023 Jeep Gladiator damaged

- Driver was on beach high tide . He had a sneaker wave chase him up into the dunes . He hit a small log with his left front tire . Not sure how it happened but the impact drove both upper and lower ball joints out causing his knuckle to pop sideways . No body damage but spindle , drive axle and possibly the front housing damaged .

man environmental damage like that can be an expensive deal in most places these days
There is some Fiat quality there boy nothing changes it goes all the way back to Chrysler its built like sh*t 🤣
I don't know George; all the years, I been fool around on cars trucks are your old fashion style upper and lower control arms, they had a crown nut locking them in place with a cotter pin into going to the bolt. Upper ball joint thread down; lower opposite. Driving around on the beach at night in the fog and ran from a wave. Yet lived to tell the story.
Man upstairs; definitely keeping an eye on them.
There are several TH-cam vids of the same issue of spindles popping off the ball joints under heavy stress .
Geeeez....Why would someone drive through the grass ??? Oh yeah...because they think they can. I grew up down there----too many people don't understand the beach. Sometimes your have to let the waves do their thing.
In the description George said the guy needed to move fast to avoid some sneaker waves at high tide.... then hit a log that he couldn't see.
I didn't realize it was legal to go 4 wheeling in the toolie weeds along the beach?
Everything's legal until you get caught .
@@HILLAUTOBODY Seems like a jeep sitting in the weeds with the front axle torn out of it would be a pretty easy investigation for the State Patrol to come up with what was going on, or is that area controlled by the Parks Department.
In his defense the fog was so bad that night you could only see about 30 feet . He was trying to get off the beach but was totally lost . When the sneaker wave came in he panicked and just took off away from the water .
Well, maybe this will teach the "owner" not to be doing stupid stuff, but something tells me it won't

I find it satisfying watching these guys in their $60k vehicles romping around trashing their rigs when my $6k beater runs circles around them and almost always makes it home under its own tires.
I do not find it satisfying to watch idiots trashing the environment and ruining off roading for everyone doing the right thing. Tread lightly folks

He was outrunning a sneaker wave . The fog was so bad that night he wasn't aware that the dunes were that close .
your not suppose too drive in the dunes wonder if he got a big ticket for that.
it's in the video description. He didn't start out driving in the grass. He was moving to high ground due to some sneaky waves at high tide.
That's a big fine in R.I. driving on the dune grass.
He should use common 4 wheeling commands. DRIVER. PASSENGER, that way no matter where who Is giving / Receiving directions and where they are in relation to any vehicle that person know what the command is for.

Fiat drivetrain in Jeep is terrible for any type of moving the vehicle without the engine and transmission operational. Really poorly designed.
That particular truck received a name when it was acquired, painted, and commissioned. They named it Dead Pull, a play on words around a then-famous superhero character.

So much danger zones in this video! Owner and Frankie standing in cable snap death areas and at the end, Frankie standing between Dead Pull and the front of jeep on the ramp. If cable snapped, he could get hurt bad.
Upgrade to aftermarket front axle housing. Get rid of the NYC/LA pavement approved front factory trash axle housing.
