I'm a metal drummer I'm definetly gonna work on this. This will help me out big time.I know alot of people that don't go out of their genera of music to look for stuff to work on.There's so many videos I seen from Mike on here that learning the stuff helped with my metal drumming.Mike is such a great teacher and amazing drummer.

I totally understand the burnout part. I went through a 3 month break from youtube and then recently just got back on the horse and I am so damn excited to get the ball rolling again. I found the love for youtube and content creation again and this train is goin for a loooong ride

Practiced this for like 5 days straight in my neusonic-not at goal tempo yet but it gets better each day. Anyone else combine this with his very similar ‘medium spicy’ exercise? Great mental practice going between them! Thanks Mike-these are the best independence resource on TH-cam! 🎉

Thank you Mike, your videos are excellent... they are master classes, because the way you explain is very clear and they lead to the challenge of wanting to do the exercise so that it comes out the same and with that fluidity.. It opens my musical mind... . Thanks genius...

I just wrote and deleted a really long, fan-boy message, lol! Just to say, as a long-time university professor who dabbles in drums ... you really are one of the best teachers on YT. Your understanding of how different people at different levels learn and your ability to communicate the dialogic process of learning in such succinct videos is so impressive. Hope you keep it up - I'm learning a lot!

maan i made almost this exact exercise for myself this summer so that i could learn Louis Coles mind-blowing kick fill from the second verse of "The Abyss". tbh i still cannot play this in the way i want, but its nice to see that other drummers would have a hard time learning something that seems so simple!
