Practiced this for like 5 days straight in my neusonic-not at goal tempo yet but it gets better each day. Anyone else combine this with his very similar ‘medium spicy’ exercise? Great mental practice going between them! Thanks Mike-these are the best independence resource on TH-cam! 🎉

maan i made almost this exact exercise for myself this summer so that i could learn Louis Coles mind-blowing kick fill from the second verse of "The Abyss". tbh i still cannot play this in the way i want, but its nice to see that other drummers would have a hard time learning something that seems so simple!

to me both of those grooves aren't that bad (been playing a long time), it's that "paradiddle" to make the grooves switch that's so tricky for me
