Y'all, I really meant what I said at the beginning of this video. I can't imagine what my career would be like without all of you that have watched these videos and supported me since my first TH-cam video. You mean more to me than you know!
If you get a chance Mike Check out the EMAD Onyx bass drum batter head On the kick drum. I’ve used it on both of my kits and I use the smaller of the two rings. It gives the most unbelievable, huge Cannon bottom end tone with nothing inside the kick! Something about that dark onyx texture with the smaller ring just screams for recording or live perfect tone. Also try cutting one of the rings in half putting the ring half on the bottom of the bass drum head instead of the top. having it on the bottom of the head batter side near the beater. That is pretty amazing also for live controlled extra punch.
Getting a list of exercices to do during Christmas vacations. This will definitely be in this list. As a side note, I'm a big fan of your podcast with Eddy and I never miss an episode.
Hey Mike this is awesome! I didn’t have as much time but I probably put 30-40 minutes in on this today! Change of plans but I didn’t have much of an agenda for my practice schedule anyways this was a great change of pace! I could see this turning into a “big rock ending” for me at some point when I can play it better! Anyways, really cool sounding and I hope to be able to pull this off one day! Thanks for posting this!
This is highly … highly inspiring and therefore presents a Conun-drum 😬 … an idea of such musical value that it must be worked on, but the practice schedule is bursting at the seams. What to do!? Yeah I know … drumming is a wonderful journey. Thank you Mike 🫡✅✨✌🏻
Nice. Looking forward to the website upgrades. One issue I always had is the website doesn't fit on my laptop screen. Not too much of an issue as most everything I am doing does fit on the screen. Still my favorite learning site.
Hey Mike. I picked up your Groove Bell and I love it. Any chance you could upload a video or two (or maybe even a course on your website) with some Cowbell grooves or fills or some of your favorite ways of incorporating it? 🙂
Your first video I have ever watched it was paradiddle Diddle orchestrated with the right hand on the ride the left on the rack Tom and the doubles on the floor tom and snare
Everyone talks about developing left HAND strength and coordination, but any tips on left FOOT time keeping. I got the pattern down pretty quickly but when I added my left foot, it all fell apart... 😂 And don't say practice, lol
Deep appreciation for ‘ genuine caring , can’t-fake -it -, really looking to hook people ( students) up , make a mega positive impact in this world, doing good as yeah you do well …’ It
Never! LOL. Honestly, that's one of the few things I prioritize above all else. No matter how crazy life gets, I turn my phone off at 5:30pm and I'm in bed by 8:00pm.

You are very welcome my old friend! Yes, this one is DENSE. It's such a killer exercise for growing so many aspects of your drumming at once.

Mike great vid. Is the cymbal you crash on at the end of each exercise the 21” transition ride? Hell of a sound
Hey Doug! No, the Transition Ride is the one that I'm using as my ride. The one your referring to is a 19" Byzanze Extra Dry Crash. Hope that helps :)
Hey, I’m new to the channel, so sorry if this has been asked a lot already, but what’s that metronome app you’re using? 😁😁
@moiseshernandez4483 Welcome! It’s in the description of all of my videos :) Hope that helps 🍵🙏🍵
