Always a good day when we get a new video! Thanks for all your hard work creating these videos. I'm sure it takes triple the time to film, edit and repair than just repairing.
Quick tip, you can easily tell if remote is working if you point remote at camera on phone and see flashes of light on screen. Video camera sensors are sensitive to IR light.
    Keep the vids coming!

Thanks Victor! appreciate you noticing mate. You're right on the money I recon. It really does take so much longer when filming etc It makes me feel pretty good when people notice so thank you 🙂
And yes! great tip with the mobile phone camera trick when trying to see if a remote control is working. I use that little nugget all the time. Unfortunately I was using my mobile phone to film with lol so didn't really have that option. But to be honest I probably didn't think about it at the time as well 😅👍

Thanks Dave. I thank all the stupid people who throw out perfectly good stuff. I mean, why wouldn't you just connect an external set of speakers or a sound bar? Oh well, I'll have it 😀

@@DIYDumpRat That was the only issue with it? My goodness, some lazy sod threw out a perfect tv.

G'day Isky, I haven't commented on one of your videos in quite a while, I've been very occupied trying to focus on reducing my anxiety and reducing my TH-cam time.
I recently scored a great 50" 4K UHD Smart TV and out of my curiosity to find out what's inside my TV, I look up your channel to see if you had any other tv videos.
Gotta say, I am stoked that you scored a great Samsung, can't believe someone threw that beast out! What are your plans for it? Sell it? Donate it?
Should donate it to a charity or youth group?
(PS: I am typing this as I watch the video so I haven't seen the whole video yet.)
Great video mate! Another reminder of why I should continue watching your videos.

Luke, G'day mate! Yeah it's definitely been a while. I know what you mean trying to reduce your TH-cam time. I gave up regular TV after the height of the Covid era but seem to have replaced it with TH-cam lol. At least I learn more stuff and the adds are shorter 😅
And yes this was a pretty good find. I actually found another one recently that had nothing wrong with it. But it was the same size as my mum and dads. 55 inches. I did make a rushed video on it also which I'll upload at some stage. And I'll sell it later down the line after some thorough testing. I have given them away to others in need (as well as clothes dryers etc) but I also have to make a living as well 👍
As for this TV? It's my new behind the projector screen TV. I tend to watch more TV in my cinema at the moment than projected movies. I love it, even more than my other newer 4K L.G's that I made a video of. Speaking of which did you see that video? I think that's my favourite T.V related video I've made. Fixed them with a bit of sticky tape 😃
Great to hear from you mate 👍😎

@@DIYDumpRat Giving up regular tv at the height of covid would've been annoying, mind you, I mostly just stream movies and play Xbox in my down time.
Definitely a good idea to sell TV's that you fix up, could make some decent money. I bought an Akai 50" 4K UHD TV off Facebook for a decent price and added a set of pc speakers to lower the price, the seller and I were both happy.
I didn't know that you've helped people in need with dryers on the odd occasion, that's very kind.
I haven't seen your LG 4K video but I'll go check it out.
