Bro I also came to Canada on a student visa and went to UBC. Throughout the admission process, I never involved any so called “agent” and rather did my own research thoroughly. I applied on my own and got the admission to the university as well as the student visa. Because it was such an important decision of my life, which involved money, time and my future, I chose to believe in my own merit rather than trusting some agent to do all the work for me. Sacchai se bhaagne ka koi fayda nahi hai. We all know but don’t have the humility or the guts to accept the fact, that majority of the students who come to study in these strip mall colleges, come with the intention of somehow getting a PR and then eventually citizenship. Actually studying with the mindset of gaining knowledge and international exposure, is not something that majority of these students have in mind. People knew the scam very well and now when they are getting caught, they want the Canadian government to give them a pass. It doesn’t work that way. Because of such incidents, the entire community gets a bad name. Please do not promote such things.
This is exactly what I mean. This puts a bad name on people that took the right steps, the only reason you need an agent is if you want to do shady things. These students knew that they were doing. If you can’t even apply for ur future urself and need an agent in the first place then you have no reason to be in Canada in the first place
Many of these aren't so fortunate like you and cannot afford to enroll in the BC university

The students who have reached Canada illegally must not be there. They must be deported to India. Most likely they wouldn't have reached Canada, if they hadn't gone to a fake agent. Also, nobody is talking about the students complicity in this criminal act. We are giving them the benefit of doubt but from experience in the education sector I know, these students are more likely involved than not. Therefore, assume they are. These Punjab students are dodgy and ungrateful. Soon they will join Khalistanis.

Anyway government never guaranteed PR to any student when they give study visa. You came here for study and return back to India for your bright future. So what’s the issue.? You cannot get surety of permanent residence in this beautiful country just because you studied in one of its colleges. You paid fees , college offered you study course of your choice where you get unbiased study atmosphere and that’s what you came for. Govt is not putting you in jail even if they found fraud because government took moral responsibility that it was there inefficiency that they are not able to find this flaw during your arrival here. You should thank God government is not saying or canceling your diploma from Canada.

Put yourself in their shoes, man. Like, I totally get it that the immigration system isn't as fair and efficient as it's supposed to be and is often misused by many and ofcourse these students should've done their homework too but when it comes down to it, we gotta take a step back and see it from a more compassionate angle.The IRCC should really streamline their process and rules to get only the cream of the crop, but with these students, they gotta take a more humane approach and not mess up their future.
