Inkscape 1.3 introduces a new feature to quickly add bleeds and margins to your document via the Page tool! This is a useful feature for anyone needing to print their document, or for anyone wanting guides to stay away from the edges of their composition while they work.

I only use margins for business cards, and as such, my bleed margin is a red hairline stroke, which is a LOT more visible and snappable, I might add, than this new feature! I set my document to a custom 3.75 x 2.25", set my stroke to my standard business card size, lock the stroke layer, and save it as a Custom Business Card svg. I think I learned that from you, Michael, to be honest!

Is there a tutorial on how to fill the bleed margin with bleed from the image border, I'm entirely new to inkscape, but it looks like the tool I need.
I'll keep looking on the website to learn more.

how can you add bleed outside the page though like how it is defined in a PDF? Do I have to make my page oversized and add margins in inkscape? then it wont be defined when i export to PDF tho will it ?
