I can’t stop laughing! I work in John Lewis curtain department and I’m shouting at the screen! Make sure you cut a bit off of each pole so the join is in the middle and you will need another bracket to support the join. The curtains will look big but once you pull the strings at the top they will be fine as you need enough fabric to make them have a nice gather. Xx
he didn't do that so I guess the curtains are doomed?! Am I right in thinking if the join isn't in the middle it will stop the gliders and you cant draw the curtains?!

@@sawalhaadderleys oh dear lol. Did mark put the old ones back up? Curtains are a bugger to guesstimate . You probs needed a 90 drop and around 72 to 90 width for that window. It's about the same size as mine. I buy my on Amazon and judge by the pics lol. In the past I have been known to hang a net and trim them whilst hanging....yeah..no not a good idea 😁 have a lovely day and I hope you get it sorted. xx

Easy way to hang curtains off a pole without using curtain hooks.
Put the pole through the top of curtain, Where curtain tape is.
You can push the curtain closed and open on the pole.

I think that you ought to take out the hook finials that are in the wall and put the new ones on a bit wider out that way you should have a nice gathering, you don't want it looking to squashed up ,you can Polyfilla the old holes in.
