    Holy crap mate, I can’t believe how much just making this build being visually pleasing made it more like a “I have to have”. Watching your videos after doing my own DIY build I see more of the aesthetics I could have made better on a budget. Good to see you can find these parts for builds.

    I just put together a similar system using a Dell Optiplex 9020 MT! Kept the case, added 16 GB of RAM, (24 GB total), added 1 TB WD Blue SSD, kept the 500 GB Seagate 7200 RPM HD, and added an EVGA GT 1050 Ti. The system runs great! Nice and fast after tweaking Windows. The system has an Intel I5 4690. I couldn't be happier!

    • @rhyzon
      @rhyzon 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      HP? Oh man... I don't want to give you bad news, but the HPs of those generations weren't exactly easy to "transplant", like the Lenovos, they were pretty simple; HP usually uses a different power connector and/or a different motherboard format that doesn't fit regular cases...

    • @budbundy2909
      @budbundy2909 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rhyzon it depends on which hp. I just used an hp ipisb motherboard from whatever pc its from. It has a 24 pin connector and even the proper power button pins. it just needs a work around that involves flashing the bios to get any graphics card newer than gtx 600 series.

    • @louieg8825
      @louieg8825 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@budbundy2909 he means that the mobo of those hp models are not re-casesable or you cant put the mobo in a regular atx/matx case because of its different form factor.

    • @hlbatesjr
      @hlbatesjr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rhyzon You are right about the cases and that was the main reason I didn't do so. It has a BTX motherboard and a BTX case is hard to find that would work for me. I was thinking about making an open air case but never got around to doing so. I never did look into seeing if they make an adapter for a PSU upgrade, which I probably should do.

    • @rhyzon
      @rhyzon 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@hlbatesjr that's exactly what I meant. And I know that there is an adapter somewhere, there's some people who have done it. But to be perfectly honest, as someone who has used those mobos before: save the CPU, sell the remainder of the system and grab an H61 mobo, it's a lot easier :D.

    • @jordanmntungwa3311
      @jordanmntungwa3311 ปีที่แล้ว

      I hope to create some good memories. i am realizing that If I had access to info and advice like I get from youtube, I would have gotten into building PCs a long time ago. I wasn't around people who knew these kinds of things and I myself didn't know. It's a lot of information to take in< I am just learning about GPUs and discovering that I had a chance to build a pc when I was growing up. My Parents worked in government and I used to salvage hard drives from the massive amounts of waste that happens behind the scenes of government IT. I realize that I might have even been able to play any game I wanted to, with some tinkering.
      These days I have a family and bills. I am just trying to build a pc to replace my i5 laptop which has its limitations now after 9 years. its a bitter sweet thing because had I been a computer geek, I wouldn't have discovered the things I did.

    For a finishing touch, cut the fan exhaust grille from the old M93 case to cover the hole next to the SFF power supply. Should be able to use double sided tape to secure it, maybe a dab of superglue. If you don't want all the holes, any flat black cutout from the side of the old case will do. The Dremel is your friend!

I actually did a video modding one out, and it was prolly my best work in terms of mods, but they are so much better just popping them into regular sized cases. I literally built an sold a system with this exact motherboard and an i5-4460 this week. Even used blue LED fans just like you... used a three pin fan splitter to extend to the molex-powered fan and get rid of that boot error screen. Paired it with a GTX 770, similar build cost, sold for $500. This is the third time that you've uploaded of a video of a system nearly identical to a system I've recently flipped. I even picked up the OC version of that exact GTX 1050 TI last week, sadly for a much steeper $120, but in this market I'll take it.

    I recently purchase a couple of the casecom case/psu combination and have used them on low budget builds and found them to work well.$64 aud for the case and psu , the case has 2 blue LED fans in the front but the unfortunate part is it will only take a 92/80 m fan at the back which is disappointing from the aesthetic side of things and 80 nm fans are noisy too. The psu in the case was a 550 watt and I have spoken to some people in the industry who have said that they don't get many issues from the 550 w psu regarding warranty returns etc etc .

    Great stuff bro. Question, I have a lenovo m93p small form factor which I bought used also on ebay and added 16gb ram, ssd, and a gt 1030. I have an r9 380x in the closet collecting dust, was wondering if I can get a micro atx case and a 550w psu and just transfer the mobo to the new case? I read about people having no luck with amd r9 series cards on these lenovo sharkbay motherboards, something about getting no display output etc. Do you know anything about that? Would save me huge headaches to know for sure before I start dismantling things lol thx man

    Nice going with that build. Have you ever tried and succeeded at a Dell Optiplex 9020 Small Form Factor case transplant like you did with that Lenovo? I have so many of these that clients threw out and it would be great to see if these could be made into gaming PCs.

    The limitations that you had with the Power Supply is something that ultimately reminds me of my present situation: Now, at some point, I intend to fully upgrade the inside of my Hewlett~Packard Pavilion 590-p0057c (Intel 8400, AMD RX Lexa (02 GB), and 02x08 GB of DDR IV at 2666) to make use of an Intel 9900 (No Suffix), 02x0I6 GB of DDR IV at 2666 MHz or better, and a Mini ITX (Single Fan) variant of the RTX 3060 or 3060 Ti (MSI Aero ITX, Palit StormX, or Gainward Pegasus); this will become my system for playing Raytraced titles while I have another one of my eventual Sleeper PCs do the broadcasting, allowing for a near~Bottleneck Free experience while running only in Standard HD (0720p) at Max Presets.
    There is one major problem with me trying to build this though: Hewlett~Packard's Lincs 843B motherboard has Proprietary cables in its 03I0 Watt Power Supply that is provided with this system, most notorious of them being a 04 Pin Power Connector that has a noticeably different Shape Layout than the 04 Pin Connectors that you see on more traditional Power Supplies that bear the usual 020+04 Pin setup; I have looked above and beyond to find a 024 Pin to 04 Pin Adapter that was built specially for Hewlett~Packard's Pavilion "590" Series, no known type of adapter presently exists on the market and this is the biggest handicap that I will have going into doing this particular build, as this would mean that putting in even a 3060 would be impossible and I would be forced to go with a Low Profile (075 Watt) card, be it the Gigabyte GTX 1650: Low Profile (GDDR VI Variant) or the upcoming RTX 3050: Low Profile.
    Given my dilemma, and also since I already know which type of Power Supplies are able to fit into the Pavilion "590" Series' case, would you happen to know of any companies that develop special adapters to make workarounds for prebuilds with very unique proprietary parts?
    Changing out the motherboard and simply rebuilding the inside from scratch, while easier to do, is sadly a No Go for this project if I retain the Lincs 843B instead, as the Front I/O is integrated onto the motherboard and many of my main peripherals (Speakers, Keyboard, Chargers, and more) are all being used from the front of the case due to my room's layout, and there is no unique Vertical Hub I could get for it if I went for another board (the order of the slots from Top to Bottom is the Speaker Jack, SD Card Slot, USB 02.00: Type A, USB 02.00: Type A, and USB: Type C); this will be one of the biggest building challenges that I will have, the lack of a 024 to 04 Pin Adapter is the only thing holding me back on this board and worst case scenario is that I'll have to go Dual PSU to handle the CPU and Graphics Card while the HP PSU handles the board and Disk Storage, I don't expect to do this but it is a gamble I'm willing to take if it will allow the upgrade to work more effectively.
