    I recently installed this exhaust in my '07 120 series, I found it easier for that back bolt on the turbo to use a 3/8" or slim profile 1/2" uni adaptor and extension bars and come up along the inside of the cat.
    To get the tail piece in, I had to remove the fuel tank protector plate and the fuel tank strap to clear it, though I don't have that rubbing issue. And the transmission mount lined up perfectly, no mod needed there.
    Nice video

      That's interesting...maybe there is a slight difference (vs 150) in the bend near the rear axle.

      I also have 120 (2009) however mine is also scrubbing on rear axle which is irritating, did you end up adjusting the hangers?

    Nice vid, can we get a video of what it sounds like? I’d like to hear it . Cheers!

      Hi Ronald - sorry about the delayed response - i didnt realise i received messages/questions (i'm a novice TH-camr). In short, the sound is hard to capture on the phone/cam. To be honest, its very subtle in relation to the difference.....definitely a little deeper under-load but still very quiet....i use my car a lot for family touring and wanted it close to stock. I believe there is a muffler delete option if you want it louder but not sure if you want a 3L diesel grumbling! :P

      @@mdags1978 can you just record it please mate?. I don't mind about it. As long as I could hear it. Because I'm not pro in terms of imagining how it sounds like

    How does it sound? Much improvement in performance?

      Sorry about the delayed response - RE: Sound (See response above for Ronald). RE: Performance - to be honest, i can't tell any real difference.....fuel consumption hasn't changed....i could argue that it 'feels' better under-load when towing up to about 3K RPM but i'd be clutching at straws to quantify anything. Basically, i wouldn't buy it for performance improvement (i had a hole in mine original, hence, the reason why i changed it).

    I have the same prado, does this model put some of the exhaust gases and back into the inlet manifold?

    • @mdags1978
      @mdags1978  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Steve - i don't believe so....that is, its essentially a direct OEM replacement - same bolt layouts, etc.

    Good video, but in all honesty, what do you expect from 4wd Supacentre? Cheap Chinese exhaust that doesn't fit correctly. That rubber insulator you've used will pretty quickly rub through and cause a vibration.

    • @CatiePotatie27
      @CatiePotatie27 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They aren't Chinese, they are made here in Australia by Berkley. I hav one of the earlier stainless pipes from them for my Prado 150 but the dump pipe cracked and Berkley replaced it no problem with the modified version with the mount going to the bell housing which stops a lot of wobble on idle in drive. I'm sure it will stop the cracking. Other than that quality looks and fitted as good as any other brand out there and the sound has a nice note to it not loud at all. Power was a slight improvement towing but then I had the car remapped and now it really gets going and pulls like a train.

      I stand corrected, they are made in Australia. Pity the quality is crap.

      @@unclebob5686 I don't no if you have had a good look at them but over the years I have many of the name brands and custom pipes done and they compare very well to those.
