Thanks was looking at this dryer
My guy😎 just started looking for a filament dryer
best dryer on the market
It would be nice if these dryers would take advantage of the RFID tags on the Bambu Labs filament and automagically pick the correct settings for the spool(s) that are loaded inside. If they aren't the same, give the user a choice.
I bought their original small single roll one a while ago. It works well however is very basic. I wanted something a bit better that held multiple rolls and also went up to 70c for polycarbonate and nylon. I went with the Sunlu S4 dryer. It is well made and works very well. I looked at this one however the build quality doesn't seem as good as some others. I did want the new creality Pi dryer but the double roll version is not out here in Canada. So I spent a bit more and went with the S4. I don't regret it. The storage feature is so handy.
You can actually dry/rejuvenate those silica packets at PETG/ABS (140F or 60C) drying temps. I do that with my silica packets, I just put some of them in when drying ABS or PETG. If you order enough filament you will have a whole lot of them and it's better to just reuse them than throw them away when you have the ability to do so. Works for silica packets that are not branded as "reusable". The reusable ones just have color indicators telling you when to dry them. I wouldn't use a microwave for drying them though unless they say that they can be dried with one.
My dryer is just a food dehydrator I got for $50 and printed PETG walls for it.
Probably print that extension if your build plate is large enough. Or split it into multiple parts, print it, then fix them together.
I know this is a little bit of an old comment, but I wanted to add that there is a freely available .stl for printing the extension on the EIBOS website.
