That was DELICIOUS. Hassan dominated a debate, kept his cool and swag, scattered the chatroom with humor, while Tate jitter chattered, anxiety ridden, hurling insults (not logic) the whole way through.
Just looked up some stats. 82% of drivers in the U.S are men & 17% of the drivers are women. Women drive 10,412 miles per year, while males drive about 16,550 miles per year. Doesn't this mean that men are going to have more accidents literally because of these factors if they are true? This would mean that Hasan cherry picked "stats" that fit his talking point if true.
He won the debate but women are on average, worse drivers. I'll explain to you my methodology. Each year men cause about 6.1 mil accidents and women it's 4.4 mil (national highway traffic safety administration). Women drive on average 10142 miles per year men drive 16550 miles per year (federal highway admin). women hold around 105.7 mil drivers licenses men hold 104.3 mil (uni of michigan transportation research institute study). Now, assuming correct figures (go verify if you want), this means all of the women in the usa drive 105.7×10^6×10142 miles per year =1.07×10^12 (1.07 trillion) miles per year. Men drive 104.3×10^6×16550 miles per year = 1.73×10^12 (1.73 trillion) miles per year. This means women have (4.4×10^6)÷(1.07×10^12) accidents per mile = 4.11×10^-6 accidents per mile. This means women have an accident every 1/(4.11×10^-6) miles = 1 accident per 243,000 miles to 3 sf. Ok, now for men, men have (6.1×10^6)÷(1.73×10^12) accidents per mile = 3.53×10^-6 accidents per mile. This means men have 1 accident every 1/(3.53×10^-6) miles =1 accident per 284,000 miles to 3 sf. This means women get into more accidents per mile and therefore are on average, worse drivers.
@@he.5865well, for one, your numbers for drivers license holders can’t really be applicable here cuz people don’t always get driver’s license for driving sake. It’s the most common ID form in the US and people who don’t even drive get it to use it as an ID. That also should’ve been obvious from how inflated the numbers are. 215 mil drivers overall in the US? That’d probably include really old people as well who don’t really drive. That number is also high if you consider that an average household does not own 2 cars

Yeah but Hasan was actually wrong, he probably spent 5 mins on Google and thought he knew everything on driving statistics. Men cause more accidents in total, but per capita and per miles driven, women actually cause more accidents. Because men drives 30% more, once it’s adjusted, it actually still proved men are better drivers. The thing was it was a fun stream Andrew was doing, and Hasan studied him like a fanboy and googled evidence to counter his believes before joining the stream, and still got it wrong somehow. 🥴
@@sganet_ Men have more mileage because they are more likely to make long trips. But overall time spent driving is similar.
@@bigmicbeatbox6432 Not true, overall men drives 30% more miles. Accident rates are measure per mile, that’s how they are quantified. NHTSA’s own report used the corrected data which showed women causing more accidents per capita than men. You can make the argument that men drives more and take more risks, therefore cause more accidents in total. But if are comparing to women, you have to correct it based on miles driven by women. If we are talking about which gender is better at driving, the data here is inconclusive, you’ll probably have to put 100 men and 100 women into a driving course and measure the result based on total average lap times. My prediction is, men would get a much faster average lap time than women.
@@sganet_ Yes, men would get higher lap time because they drive more aggressively and reckless compared to women. I don't know what lap times have to do with crash rates.

Hasan kind of proved Tatum's point, at least when it comes to talking with Hasan, because Tatum's personal experience ended up being closer to the truth than Hasan out of context data. This is the problem with relying entirely on studies and data on the internet. Everyone can misrepresent or find data that agrees with them, and it's near impossible to break down and analyze a whole research paper on the spot and have an utterly well-thought-out reply. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that men cause an average of 6.1 million accidents per year in the US, and women cause 4.4 million accidents per year. Males do 62% of the driving, but only cause 58% of the accidents. So women do cause slightly more accidents per capita than men. The context that Hasan chose to leave out is that men drive more than women, so of course, they get into more accidents, but per capita, women get into more accidents despite men being almost entirely the drunk and reckless drivers.
@@JR-wf5kg You're leaving out the statistics that show that women tend to get in far less severe accidents, are less likely to drive without a seat belt, less likely to make traffic violations, less likely to drive while intoxicated, and are responsible for far less fatal accidents compared to male drivers.
Tate seems to think that if you can "look it up on google" or if its "on the internet" that it isnt valid. I have no clue how anything is valid then. Tate has some very good takes, but this conspiracy theory crap is definitely one of the worst ones and this is part of it. What, if an information is accessible, then it's a lie, it's "the matrix" ? That's stupid. That take alone makes him no better than those chicks saying "it's my truth".
Someone needs to ask him, about a specific study, at what point in the transmission of information Tate thinks it’s being compromised. The evidence collection, the scientists, the academic institution, the journal, the servers holding it, the ISP transmitting it to you, etc. general distrust on all of the above can lead to these conspiracy theorists but you need more evidence than general distrust of the above institutions. You need to tell me at what step of transmission you think the issue might be with the information, and what evidence you have for doubting that step.
A lot of people think that way and it got way worse during the pandemic with all the misinformation flying around, they just don't believe in scientific data unless it fits their view point.

I don't really feel like he destroyed him, (To be clear I disagree with a lot of Tate's views) I felt he just kept interrupting Tate and trying to make childish point scoring comments, and they never actually delved into the conversation. One of the reasons I really like Destiny is because he makes a real effort to truly understand the persons opinion and find out exactly what they mean, rather than just trying to "Destroy them" *The Study* Hasan was using the study incorrectly, the study's objective was to show who has more car accidents per mile not which sex is the safer driver, these are two completely different things. For a study to determine which sex is the safer driver you would have to take into account so many more variables. This is why the Abstract of a study is so useful. Just one example would be that it may be the case that in couples, during icy or rainy conditions etc, the man may more often take the role as a driver and just this one factor on it's own if everything else was equal, would result in men having more crashes per mile, but that doesn't mean male drivers are not as safe, it just means that in icy conditions etc, a man will drive more often than a woman when they are in a couple. You have to do it on a scenario to scenario basis, and there are dozens of variables you would have to take into account to make a conclusion in regards to which sex is the safer driver, You would have to allow for the time of day, how many passengers were in the car, the conditions of the road, the type of road, the time of the year, if the passengers were wearing seatbelts, what were the demographics of the passengers (People tend to drive safer with kids in the car) what was the reason for travelling, were any of the passengers drunk or on drugs, was the accident during a police chase from a robbery etc etc. *Tate's view* Overall men have 60 % of the accidents per mile, but that number is going to vary significantly depending on where you live and your social environment etc. And I think with Tate's Pitbull analogy, that is what he was trying to say essentially. Say the Pitbull's you came across were a lot safer than other dog breeds, now the reason that might be true, is because unbeknown to you, say there was a community of Pitbull owners in the area who got together regularly and had a really high standard in regards to training dogs, and they also bread Pitbulls and made sure the puppies went to responsible owners. So although there would be no study on this, it may be the case that in reality relative to your environment, Pitbulls are safer, yet the broader studies would say otherwise. And although Tate didn't seem to articulate it very well (And didn't get much of a chance to) I think this is what he's getting at really. I think that's what he mans by "His truth" etc. Again there is no study on which sex is actually the safer driver, and there certainly isn't one that is relative to your own personal environment, so our personal experience is all we have to go on really, on this matter.

The problem with Hasans argument regarding female drivers, he is not taking into consideration that men drive recklessly for many different reasons, showing off, drunk, high, bored etc, this doesnt mean that women are better drivers than men because they tend to drive carefully and avoid accidents. If you use this logic it means that no matter who you get in the car with, you got no choice but to chancefully experience them driving bad, you could make it very clear that "ey bro, drive slow" and he wont fuck around. Hasan knows this and this is the reason for if you asked Hasan "Alright, god came down and said you gotta pick a man or a woman to drive you on a 10 min road where there are potholes that can kill you, who do you choose?" He would go with the man, cause he knows they are naturally better driver and they wont fuck around during that. The problem with people like Andrew that generally debate very... not sure what the word is in english, but they dont delve too deep into it, they know its right but they dont know which anologys to use when delving deep into the subject, they are used to people just agreeing because its logical, and after a while when you meet a guy that is gonna go to imperial data just to try and disprove you, is that you kinda lose your tongue and realize this guy is just being a troll to try and make his point when he really knows the truth.

Based on NHTSA, men cause more accidents in total, but men also drives 30% more miles than women. Once you adjust that, women per capita cause more accidents than men. Hasan lost.
Controversial statement but I really think if Destiny and Hasan sat down together in real life and had a earnest talk WITHOUT recording it, they would agree on a lot of things. But I also understand there isn't a desire to do so from either party and Hasan has a tiny head.

Speaking truthfully I was never really a fan of Hasan because i felt his views about Joe Rogan were way too ridiculous. After i watched him shred through andrew tate, I couldn't help but gain more respect for him. He was the first to expose Tate intellectually.
(Late asf) They were ridiculous but he had a point. Look at Joe now, not really much better than a grifter these days. And I used to be a huge fan of the guy. He used to be a lot more nuanced.
How is Tate adopting a super redpill, stoic, masculine persona and resorting to emotional, stereotypically feminine arguments? It seriously sounds like an argument between a guy and his girlfriend. This "evidence is less important than my own personal experience, regardless of how credible it is" stance is not what would be considered traditionally masculine at all.
It has nothing to do with feminine arguments. Research shows that women are actually more logical thinkers than men. Youre talking from your own personal experiences and not from science.
It is actually interesting finding the right way to phrase “it’s possible that scientific consensus on issues can be wrong and counter our lived experiences, but we still need to have some kind of peer reviewed mechanism for discerning the reality and that’s better that just going off of personal anecdotes.”

That number is also high if you consider that an average household does not own 2 cars

If we are talking about which gender is better at driving, the data here is inconclusive, you’ll probably have to put 100 men and 100 women into a driving course and measure the result based on total average lap times. My prediction is, men would get a much faster average lap time than women.

Facts.

Also, Hasan did really well.
The funniest part is there's videos of tate quoting "internet sudies" when it suits his beliefs

One of the reasons I really like Destiny is because he makes a real effort to truly understand the persons opinion and find out exactly what they mean, rather than just trying to "Destroy them"
*The Study*
Hasan was using the study incorrectly, the study's objective was to show who has more car accidents per mile not which sex is the safer driver, these are two completely different things.
You have to do it on a scenario to scenario basis, and there are dozens of variables you would have to take into account to make a conclusion in regards to which sex is the safer driver,
You would have to allow for the time of day, how many passengers were in the car, the conditions of the road, the type of road, the time of the year, if the passengers were wearing seatbelts, what were the demographics of the passengers (People tend to drive safer with kids in the car) what was the reason for travelling, were any of the passengers drunk or on drugs, was the accident during a police chase from a robbery etc etc.
*Tate's view*
Overall men have 60 % of the accidents per mile, but that number is going to vary significantly depending on where you live and your social environment etc.

He could’ve said when you drive, you don’t see the whole world. You only see the things in front of you, thus earth cannot be flat.
@@torresthemonster The reason you don't see past a certain distance has nothing to do with the world being flat or round though. The reason is because we have an atmosphere(kind of like a very thin fog) around us that gets harder to see through the farther we look.

Hasan was definitely in his element here. This was just sad for Tate.
Never thought I'd see the day that Hasan actually destroyed someone in a debate and yet here we are.
Why not?
