I used to go to The Hat for my pastrami fix UNTIL I discovered The Oinkster. Their pastrami is higher quality and less salty and the Belgian fries are always satisfying. But my all time favorite pastrami and corned beef is at Langer's Deli.
Nice job! I've got to try a few that I have seen around, but now you've got me excited to try!!! Yes, In & Out is great!!! The Hat is awesome!!! Phillipe's downtown is great, similar to The Hat, but a buffet look and saw dust on the floor...train stuff too! Truly historic LA!
I don’t know if it’s still there, but Duke’s Hamburger stand had a pastrami burger that was unbelievable! There were several stores, but the one on Western and 79th? was my favorite.
Bookmarking this, gotta try a few I've never been to! I'd add Poquito Mas to the list: food made fresh every day, terrific salsa bar, Mexican Coke in bottles available.
Just love local chains where the food comes out fast and better in quality. Selecting just 10 is pretty hard but great job! There's some places I need to check out!
Thank you for this. It’ll be perfect for our trip to LA for the BTS concert in Nov. There will be an ARMY of us coming to LA! Thank you for these vlogs!
Great list I love all your choices! Here are a few I miss when I leave LA 😢 Rascals Teriyaki Farmer Boys Win-Dow burger Fat Sals Porto’s bakery The Habit Original Tomys.. Cali Tacos Teddy’s Red tacos Stand-alone Fast Food locations that are must visit Tito’s Tacos (Culver City) Howlin Rays (DTLA) Bay Cities Italian Deli(Santa Monica) Phillipes (DTLA) Pinks(Hollywood) Los Reyes (Orange)
I saw on Marks insta that you guys hook-up for video. Very cool! You're getting up there with subs but always thought you deserved more! You put a ton work into your videos. Looking forward to watching you two together.
I would include panda express because it's a local chain and I have a soft spot for it haha. In the southwest, they seem to be better quality than the panda express I've had in the southeast. Also possibly yoshinoya since it's only available in california. I would consider sushi-stop to be a sort of fast-food type sushi place, even though there are waiters and you tip. Also possibly kura revolving sushi bar could be considered fast food as well? Those locations are all over the U.S. though. Also if you talk about mall food courts I love Massis Kabob, Buddy chicken and boba, and Side Chick Hainanese chicken. oooh forgot dog haus. That one is very good
I love seeing you love on SoCal spots. I wonder if you've tried Banh Mi Che Cali or Lee's Sandwiches. Depending on the location, it can be hit or miss but I sometimes go to them for fresh baguettes, sandwiches and other Viet faves like banh cuon.
You have to go to the right Zankou. Most of them are good but for some reason my local one is kind of crap. Same goes with our 85 degree bakery. It don't know what it is with my town. We get excited about a LA favorite opening up but most people end going back to the ones out of town because they are better.
Is Phillipe's Famous French Dip considered a fast-food place. It does not have table service (a hallmark of FF joints)? How about the Filipino street food stalls at Seafood City (especially the branch on Colorado at the border of Glendale and Eagle Rock. I assume that LAs many Chinese steam-table/doughnut places wielding their infamous "Combo-Plate" (usually pan fried noodles or fried rice and three small mains on-top plus an eggroll or a soup) don't count as "fast-food" (i.e.. White Castle on Burbank and Vineland which cooks to order, or CBS Chinese [which has a take-out Chinese Luncheon and BBQ counter with a to-go Dim Sum area not the sit-down restaurant in Chinatown) --- or the Vegetarian Indian steam-table cafeteria's at most "India Sweets & Spices" grocery stores throughout the Southland -- or every late night taco stand on so many corners -- or any food-truck parked alone or in convoys all over town day and night: this I am guessing does not count and should not count as fast-food. But what can we call all that instead; "a quick-meal" place?
Hmmm. Maybe at best they are fast casual restaurants. It's kind of hard to tell with some of these places, because even McDonald's and Carl's Jr have sit down dining.
That was the GLENDALE IN-N-OUT? Need to pay attention to there service? Too much salt on fries? Sometimes the patties are dry but the 1 in the GLENDALE GALLERIA is awesome? Not enough seats and homeless people panhandling? Still 1 of my favorite burgers 🍔 😋 😍? A QUAD WITH EXTRA 🌰 🌰 ONIONS & 2 MONSTER FRIES W/EXTRA ONION 🌰 😋 👌 😍 😀 👍 🌰 😋 👌 😍 😀 👍 🌰 😋 👌 😍 😀 👍 🌰 😋 👌 😍 😀 👍 🌰 😋 👌 😍 😀 👍 🌰.
Clear way there's money coming through everybody get the f*** out! This America, John and that one want some la food . . . I'm not happy about what you were saying about the wait times

Oinkster sounds great.
If you just want a good pastrami sandwich try Santoros in Burbank.

I will look into it.
Great list, Steve! For me, it's Cupid's dogs, The Hat (pastrami burger), and The Habit.
I love those places!
Bookmarking this, gotta try a few I've never been to! I'd add Poquito Mas to the list: food made fresh every day, terrific salsa bar, Mexican Coke in bottles available.

Thanks!
Guisados is good but the portions are small.
You should try Juan Pollos for Mexican style chicken and The Stand for burgers.
I love the Stand!
never tried Guisados, seems over priced and target clientele are posers. Besides, this is LA, great tacos can be found on almost every corner.
I went to Juan Pollo in Pomona. It was delicious.
Thank you for this. It’ll be perfect for our trip to LA for the BTS concert in Nov. There will be an ARMY of us coming to LA! Thank you for these vlogs!

Panda's not on the list?! That's insane.
Thanks for this awesome list…. We need more places to try
Everyone loves cheap eats!
Good! Short and simple review! Very useful for LA visitors.

Thanks! I love Lee's
Love the videos, keep it up man 👍
Appreciate it!
Thanks for this. I didnt know some of these.
You bet!
Good list but I've got to put Tommy's over Carney's for iconic chiliburgers. Also, Pink's should be on the list.
*Pretty good list. I don’t co-sign Guisados tho. They tend to kinda overcook their meat until it’s dry*
Interesting.
Just a bit of a tip Guisados is Pronounced like Geesados Gui is pronounced like Ghee the clarified butter product with a hard G silent h
Thanks. Please continue to follow my channel to see other great food videos!
What about Asian food? Sam Woo? Pepe’s Mexican? Vietnamese sandwiches? Keep up the good work!
Thanks.
Surprised Howlin Rays is not included
That weak stomach's actually good for something in la we order to 2 of the same order and switch back and forth
Good list.
Cool
Dude you make great food vlogs
I think the best fast food in LA is the deli fridge at Ranch 99!
One that you should try if you haven't - Goldburger
Awesome
Hey Steve, looks like your fan-base is GROWING 😃😁😊👋✌👌🤙👍☝
wow, Guisados looks absolutely amazing, and so does their menu. This is about as authentic as it gets
Hope you like it!
How Oinkster and Panda aren't on the list, I've no idea. Is Wurstkuche still in business? Epic fries and wurst. I have a soft spot for Rounds Burger.

Wow, thanks for the insight.
Pinks & Tommy Burgers should’ve made the list.

Tams burgers is the best in Southern California 🔥🔥🔥💯
You need to include Tito's Tacos in your next video
Sounds good
The sour fries of Dino's is the worst fries.
I'd say California Fish Grill....

In N Out sucks. The burgers taste bad and the fries are limp and bland.
This video is terrible
Carneys is trash, I clicked off the video after that
