    I always do interior. Great sleep. Never hang out there except to rest or bathe. Just got Ascent for 1 week; deluxe interior for $514pp. Can’t imagine paying a lot more for a cruise room. I’d rather use that money for experiences or save it. I also notice everyone who pays a lot of money for their cruise has very high expectations where the actual experience falls short. My expectations aren’t high when I only pay 500 bucks before tax and tip for the cruise. I am always happy.

    When I travel solo, I love an inside room. I can have it dark, cool and usually quiet and sleep great. When my husband and I travel together, always a bigger cabin since there are 2 of us and he is 6'5". I have done a solo cabin on NCL and enjoyed them.

    Took my first ever cruise in Oct solo on Princess in an inside cabin. Loved it. Really quiet. Well-designed with lots of storage. Ive booked a Princess Alaska cruise solo with an interior room for May. I'm sure a balcony would be an added bonus, especially first thing in the morning. But with the price savings i will have so much more flexibility. And i suspect that even if I had a balcony I would do most of my viewing from upper decks where i could walk around.

    Interiors are a best kept secret: you need a cabin to sleep and shower, we don’t hang out in our cabin and get to cruise so often because we know our priorities and what matters most to US! 😊

    We cruised on RC in an inside cabin with the virtual window and it was pretty cool. It didn't need to be floor to ceiling - I hope celebrity does this - I liked it.

    I would only change one thing in the design... use the TV to create a fake window showing the actual view outside (why don't they do this?), but other than that it looks like the perfect inside room.

    • @mariareyes-ku6194
      @mariareyes-ku6194 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Royal Caribbean has a virtual balcony on their interior cabin on some ships. They take a wall and actually show the ocean in live mode. You can enjoy this view and not feel so claustrophobic.

    That’s why you look up the deck plans and close your room and that way you don’t have problems. I always do inside and pick my own room.

    As a solo cruiser for many it is the only way to book a cruise . Choosing location in ship is more important to me than type of cabin since higher categories are prohibitive when you have to pay double. Sometimes there are deals where there is less supplement and then other categories are great. All the people that say "I only book suites or in the ship within ship area" good on you---lucky you---I just do what my budget allows . One thing I like is how it feels really cozy and so dark when you want to actually sleep or nap in the afternoon. When I get an inside cabin---then I spend elsewhere like access to thermal suite or beach club area as those are more important to me than where I sleep and change. I definitely don't go on a cruise to watch tv so that is of zero interest to me.

    I just did on Independence of the Seas, It was so relaxing, and there was no one beside us, it was so quiet... We normally get a balcony, but it was our second sailing of the year, and so much cheaper.

    I haven't done an inside cabin since I was a teenager and cruised with my parents across the hall. Since the first time I got a balcony cabin, I swore I wouldn't cruise without having a balcony. I do use the balcony almost every day on a warm weather cruise. However, with prices as high as they are getting, I might consider doing an inside or window cabin if it was a port intensive itinerary with a port everyday or almost everyday. I guess it depends on the situation or specific cruise. I really like the idea of the virtual balcony or large window to make it feel like you can see outside.

    Thanks for an informative review! I just booked my dad an inside cabin, and myself a panoramic oceanview for a transatlantic on the Celebrity Apex. The spaciousness in these edge class inside cabins might change my mind, but the panoramic oceanview is a little different. I can’t wait!

    I've not stayed in an inside cabin, but yours is really nice! The way pricing is going up, may be the best option. Have an Ascent B2B in Feburary Concierge stateroom. Unbelievably each 7 day leg ALMOST as pricey as 9 days in Edge Retreat last year for Panama cruise.

    We have sailed Apex interior deluxe for 3 weeks and loved that cabin. Next E class will be a total of 43 days and look forward to sleeping well in that bed. And the bathroom is a beauty. I know it seems that many folks only sail retreat or suites but a good percentage of cabins on the ship will be interiors.

    Hi guys! We are booked in a deluxe inside cabin on Ascent for the week of January 21-28. We will be located on Deck 12, and we are really looking forward to sailing on this ship, which will be our first on one of the Edge class ships. Thank you for the recommendations about this type of cabin. We would like to try an infinite veranda in the future as well. Again, thanks for the info!

  • @cydneystephen2814
    @cydneystephen2814 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hey guys. Oh yes. That deluxe is very spacious. Wow. Great bathroom as well. Ok. The storage does look adequate. Love a desk chair with back support. Not the ottoman type seats. That sucks that they don’t put outlets/charging on both sides of the bed. We book balconies and window ocean views if doing multiple cruises in a year. I find I always return sick when sail interior or window. Need to get fresh air in the cabin everyday 🤷🏻‍♀️. Thanks for sharing.

    I worry about air quality. I would book an inside cabin on a new-ish ship. However, after a miserable experience in a Carnival (Old Lady) Legend inside cabin, I would never book one on an older ship. The attendants did their best but the carpet was old, the furnishings were old, the air was old, the bathroom was from the 1920's. We had allergy symptoms from the beginning to the end of the cruise. It was the only cabin we could get on our cruise to Greenland that didn't get to Greenland because of the weather. Great, insightful video. That bathroom is amazing! Thank you!

      One nightstand is adjustable so the beds are split and the nightstand is moved to the side closer to the couch. That said, we wouldn’t recommend more than two people in an inside. 😅

    Inside rooms can not be properly aired out. Also if there is an emergency a balcony room gives you a second way out. I was on a ship which had a fire many years ago. I learned my lesson to never ever get and inside cabin.

      @@tduck828 I never had an issue until I did. Also in the days of covid etc....... I want a room in which I can open the door and get fresh air into the room. So it is a safety issue and health issue. No inside rooms for me. To each their own comfort and sense of security.

      @@tduck828 air now working supports my point that a balcony room is a better choice. Sorry that happened to you. When you save money, sometimes you really do get what you paid for, which is a degraded experience.

    How is the food in the MDR and the buffet? We went on the Eclipse in October and the buffet was not good at all! No good soups, basic decent cold cuts like prosciutto, smoked salmon we had to beg for! All they had was the cheapest bologna! We went to the specialty restaurants most of the time. However, the entertainment was excellent
