    Your videos helped me become a videographer for Stringr News. You thought me the art of B-roll

    A very nice comparison. The comparison to the Black Magic shots really adds some context.
    I'd love to see some shots with people and motion at some point. Have you used used the BG DOF on any projects outside TH-cam yet?
    Thank you for sharing this video with us.

      I have shot b-roll with it on other projects but nothing with it as a solo set up. I’m planning to do a lot more though and will share my results.

    Great video, you can definitely see some blue hallows around the top of helmet with the wide lens

    What about the close-up lens, you did a video on a while ago? They were also adding depth of field, quite nicely

      Yes those can definitely work too and actually planning to revisit those diopters again and use a +10. Thanks for the reminder. :)

    I have the Moment 58mm Lens but I never put it on my iPhone 12 Pro Max because I never thought of. I’ll give it a try. Focos Live been good so I don’t have to use tele.

      Focus Live is really nice on the 12 Pro Max. Been planning to do a video on that too. Thanks fo watching!

    I love shooting with the Moment lenses but from what I saw in your video, the DOF adapter gives you amazing results.

    • @iphoneographers
      @iphoneographers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it can depending on what you’re shooting. Both are solid options though and Moment is obviously less $$$ and easier to use. :)

    Sir I've a question🙋:
    Shouldn't we purchase BMPCC in place of iPhone 15 pro max as both of them price almost similar??
    Kind regards,

      Isn't it the price??

    • @iphoneographers
      @iphoneographers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That typically you already have the phone, so depending on what you’re doing you might not need a traditional camera too. But they are really different, but now phone cameras are catching up quality wise.

      Sir please please make a video on the differences between iPhone & identical priced DSLRs 🤞.

    You should have included the beastgrip 3x Tele. Great depth of field.

    • @iphoneographers
      @iphoneographers  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Are you using an iPhone with it or traditional camera? If a phone then no, and then if it’s traditional camera I would probably just use auto focus more times than not on a gimbal (depending on the lens).

      I tend to use Moment the most. But Beastgrip and Sandmarc are good too. Look at their 2x telephotos. There are links to Moment & Sandmarc in the description.

    Anychance for a test with the ulanzi 2020 dof adapter with iPhone 12 Pro Max for its compatibility? Or should I go with 105mm 3x telephoto or the Kase 165mm but with soft edges. No plan to buy right now as those as very expensive for me right now. But I have the iPhone 11 pro Max and still searching for something that will give a good wide dof. Thanks for the video comparison.

    • @iphoneographers
      @iphoneographers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the previous gen Ulanzi not the 2020, but will look into that. The 3x Tele are nice options too. Going to the 12 Pro Max will or the next gen iPhone will also help with the new larger sensor and the 65mm Tele it has built in.

    • @iphoneographers

      Probably due to supply chain issues. Lots of stuff hard to find it seems like in the filmmaking accessory world.

    So is that Beastgrip DOF adapter still useful in 2022 with iPhone 14s?

    • @iphoneographers
      @iphoneographers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure if you can find one. They’re super hard to get right now. With the 14 Pro you have to use a diopter for the close focusing.

    • @j_holtslander
      @j_holtslander 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why are they so hard to find? Manufacturing shortage? What part would be needed for the 14? Got a manufacturer and part # you can point to?

    Would u consider the iPhone a full frame?

    • @iphoneographers
      @iphoneographers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. It’s more like an Action camera size sensor although even smaller. However, the focal lengths are measured in full frame equivalents. For example, the wide lens is a 26mm.

    not impressed at all: seems like what these lenses really do is degrade quality; I can accept this while using an anamorphic lens for the smartphone but seems pretty useless with other lenses, especially if using a great phone like an Iphone

      You mean the edges? I think there’s a bit of chromatic aberration on the Tele shots, but otherwise seems fine. Might be TH-cam compression.
